Spent 3 days here - middle of the week so not much going on at the hotel itself. Had a 3rd floor, ocean front room which was awesome for mid-May, but probably terrible in summer since it was over the outdoor bar. Bathroom lacked a fan so it steamed up rather quickly. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable!! We only asked for room cleaning once; and other than the bed being straightened up, you couldn't tell - it smelled "stale". Cable TV was poor -... Read more

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are expensive. Pretty basic double room. Our bathroom had ants. The elevator in the atrium is AWFUL and slow and was the only way to our room unless we wanted to hike around the entire hotel. BUT all in all it was nice to stay in May. I wouldn't want to stay during crowded season due to the slow elevators. It does attract large groups which are often very noisy.

This was my third stay at Carousel. I attend the annual Art of the Belly conference held there and typically rent a single because the workshops and performances are held there. On the last morning of my stay a mouse ran across the room and disappeared in the curtains. The mouse then ran across the floor and disappeared under the dresser. I called the front desk to report the mouse. I called again 28 minutes later. I finally went to a friends room. Very disappointed that management did nothing t... Read more

Reserved a 3-bedroom condo for a mini-week, Thursday to Sunday, the second weekend of May, 2016. Accommodations were clean, and wonderful. The check-in was efficient, very personable and professional for all of us. The condo had 3-bedrooms, 2-bath, with all of the kitchen amenities and appliances needed, plus the stay included towels, bedding and soaps for the entire weekend. It was a wonderful stay. We intend to repeat the stay next year. The Carousel has everything a vacationer needs, includin... Read more

Amber and Dawn were incredibly helpful, those two alone makes me unable to wait to return. The hotel was clean, had immaculate amenities, great view, as per someone else's review stay away from the atrium, however the room I requested surpassed the expected expectations. Definitely a plus if you have children. Will be returning.

The Hotel needs to be renovated, its a little dated, the staff was not so friendly, but the family activites at the Hotel was great. The Ice Skating ring, the indoor out door pool was great....I wish the kiddie pool was open because I had two todler with us but over all it was a wonderul time. The Bars and the restaurants had good food. We had a wonderful time, I would recommend famlies to come here.

Condo 1605 @ the Carousel was fantastic! The condo was recently updated and set to our likings! New furniture throughout, clean, linen and beds were brand new. Not to mention the mattresses were extremely comfortable! The only complaint I had was the carpet still had the new odor smell. Which, in this case I still give 5 stars because it met all our expectations. I would highly recommending renting this unit if you are looking for a family friendly resort! Cheers to 1605 @ The Carousel!!

Go to wildwood, NJ instead. Ocean city is over crowded and a waist of time and money. The lines to do anything are so terribly long. I want to enjoy my vacation not waist time waiting to do nothing. There's nothing but a few rides and the beach is so small. Traffic is absolutely terrible.

Great location but needs exterminator. Tile floors didn't feel clean either. I had to wear my flip flops the entire time in the condo. Elevators were constantly busy and car 4 was broke each day we were there. They fix it amd it was broke later or the next day again. Always a line at the elevator. Very old and dated. Not worth about $400 per night. I will not be back.

The Carousel will let you sign for your child to stay at the hotel but then will barge in on them while they are in the room...(just unlock the door and enter) and to try to find reasons to evict them within the first day or two. It is a real racket they are running there. Then they will keep your deposit for no reason. Very disappointed in the way they feel they can treat people.

The Resort has so much to do for kids and adults we absolutely loved it! And the location was awesome! Food Lion for groceries and great restaurants are just a walk across the street! This old hotel shows some age, although it was recently "restored". I think it was repainted. A 2 queen room on the ocean was plenty large, with a pull-out sofa, but the bathroom was small and had a miniature toilet. The dresser was "unstable". The room was fairly quiet, in spite of the music from the outside bar. They have an unusual HAV system, just heat in the winter and AC in the summer. Look out on shoulder seasons...the hotel was cool in June w no heat. The AC in the room is powered by a 6... Read more

I have always stayed here as a couple, but I saw lots of families. They have an ice skating rink, restaurant, theme nights, an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, and a well kept beach. The atmosphere is wonderful. The price for there food is good. The reason for the 4/5 review, is only because there is only one elevator to the ocean front rooms, so it takes a while.

This is a low budget hotel for families and we made the wrong choice , you pay for what you get . Old furniture and no decorations in our room , crowdy and very noisy in the hotel .... The beach was nice and clean and we had lots of space to rest . Will never go back to ocean city , kitch , boardwalk ultra commercial with t shirts shops every 50 feet....

We stayed here for 2 nights. Service was great for us. My kids 7 and 15 are not big beach people so the choice of indoor or outdoor pools, and the ice rink was super. It is important that me and the kids have lots to do at the hotel since my husband is a golfer. I will say the hotel is older and could use less carpet. I think all beach hotels should have no carpet. We also loved the balcony great fro hanging beach clothes.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was great. Had a balcony with ocean view. Very clean. The people who worked there were always very nice and accommodating. There's no partying or smoking at the hotel which I liked. I was able to party at the bars and actually sleep when I got back. I will definitely be staying here next year.

This hotel is definitely showing its age. From completely un-dercorated rooms with mis-matched furniture to a balcony door that was almost impossible to open. For the amount charged I would definitely look elsewhere. For breakfast buffet was much better choice. Ordered breakfast was bland and potatoes were cubes definitely from frozen with no flavor, buffet potatoes were fresh and seasoned, why would any restaurant do that. Definitely look elsewhere when considering OC

Well we got there early and much to our surprise our condo was already ready (they say check in is at 4pm, we arrived around noon) So that was a huge PLUS! The room for being "newly remodeled" was rather outdated in my opinion. The kitchen table im, pretty sure would have fallen apart if anything more than 5lbs was set on it. it swayed back n forth. Overall the Hotel was very family oriented, very nice for an older place. The room refrigerator would not work, had to call the front desk several times until maintenance showed to fix the issue. Also we were in a non smoking room our next door "neighbors" were smoking outside on their balcony the entire stay. Also the balcony was not private or semi private it was wide open. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo, Unit 1405, with my Grandparents and 2 small children. The room was nice enough, the kitchen was very sparsely appointed. My biggest problem was the location of the washer and dryer in a closet in the master bathroom. My Grandparents were staying in the master bedroom and I was unable to do laundry when I needed to. This hotel cannot be beat on the long list of amenities it offers with the ice rink, game room, indoor and outdoor pools, onsite restaurant, beach grill, movies on the beach etc... But the rooms need some updating and a thorough cleaning or make over. The location is ideal, close the shopping, other dining options and north side park. We had a large group stay here for an indoor soccer tournament and the kids loved it because there is so much to do. Definitely a family friendly resort.

First let me say that I have been to Ocean City at least once every year for the past 33 years. I have stayed in a variety of different resorts, hotels, and motels. I am familiar with the typical value for your dollar in OC. The Carousel was an absolute waste of money and a major disappointment. But first let me start with the positives -since that list is pretty short. First I enjoyed the onsite outdoor restaurant/bar. We have stayed here a few times now. Twice in the condos and once in a ground level where you could walk out to the beach. I would recommend staying in the condos, mostly for the view of the ocean and bay.
