A few yards from the beach and smack dab in the middle of tons o' stuff to do and go to. The staff were courteous, friendly and accommodating. Professional personified. The actual Memorial Day was a washout because of the all day downpours so the hotel's indoor pool was a great safe and clean haven. The free and spacious parking lot was constantly monitored and patrolled by security. The room was clean, large and fully equipped to heat, re-heat and eat your food. The free WiFi worked better than... Read more

This was our first time at this hotel. Check in went well, but slow. Our original room was next to the elevators, and I had requested a room, NOT near elevators. Back to the front desk, requested a different room and was given one away from the elevators. Room was large, clean and comfortable. We had a full size fridge, microwave, etc. The view from our balcony, we were on the 5th floor, wasn't great but we didn't sit there often. The one problem I noticed while there, was the lack of housekeepe... Read more

The hotel room is well furnished and is big enough. It was very clean. The only con is it's not on boardwalk and few miles far. It has balcony though not facing beach. It had a gym and an indoor swimming pool.

Received a very welcoming reception upon arrival and nice, quiet room selection. Spacious, with fridge, micro, wet-bar, seating group, balcony (no beach view). Room was clean and furnishings in good shape. No breakfast provided, but coffee at the front desk. Dunkin Donuts across the street. A hundred yard walk to the dunes and beach.

Stayed with some friends here over Memorial Day weekend because of its very inexpensive price compared to other hotels as well as the fact that it was owned under the Carousel Group. Having stayed at the Carousel Hotel at least once every summer for the last 4 years we figured it would be good. The room itself was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only issues we really had were with the front desk. We had originally requested an early check in a few nights before and we were tol... Read more

So, I read reviews before I went which were mostly positive. You just need to understand what you are getting. This hotel is not on the beach but it is on the beach block so walking there is easy. Pay or beg for a room far from Route 1 - it is loud. Shut your curtains because that helps. The pool is inside with an outdoor deck so it is steamy in there. There is a game room with ping pong - not sure what else. The rooms are clean and basic - I do see that it has recently been refreshed wit... Read more

I just stayed at Bonita Beach last week. I love everything about the hotel. You are so lucky to have such a wonderful front desk person by the name of Ellen. She is so sweet and was wonderful with all guests.

After a long day of traveling, going to the beach, casino and going out to eat we returned to our room about 4am to get ready for bed. While preparing the pull out bed , I saw a bug crawling up the wall. Upon farther inspection and after killing the bug it was determined to be a bed bug. The front desk was called, and a guy was sent up from the front desk. The guy determined that it was a bed bug , however the hotel was completely booked so we would have to downgrade to a smaller room. We was wal... Read more

What we liked: -Elle was super sweet, kind and went out of her way to make sure whatever issues we had were resolved -the room was much more spacious than expected -the balcony was smaller but just the right size for us and had two chairs -the room had two queen beds (not full size) and a pullout loveseat sofa -it's an easy walk to the beach -overall the the staff was extremely pleasant What we didn't like: -the pool only has three and four feet depths -an odd request, but there were no hooks... Love the spaciousness to the room. Great ammenities & clean. Balcony was a bonus. I was initially concerned about parking but we never had an issue the whole time coming in & out several times a day. Only wish it offered breakfast.

If you are looking for a basic place to sleep and shower, this is a good budget choice. No frills and everything is pretty dated. Fairly clean and the beds were comfortable - except for the pull out couch which had a flat, old mattress on it. Pool is indoors so don't look for a break from the beach there unless you want to be inside. There are some great places to eat in the blocks surrounding it. Again, we went for budget as this wasn't our main vacation and that is exactly what Bonita Beach o... Read more

This is a good value hotel. It isn't going to provide luxury accommodations but for the price you pay, you get a clean room, comfy beds, an indoor pool, game room and prime location in mid town OC. And it is ocean block. Depending on what side your room is located on you can even see the beach. You can walk across the street to Ropewalk restaurant and there is a delicious little ice cream/cupcake shop called Yummy directly across the street too. We ended our nights there too often.

After we got past the fact that our room was not ready for check in for well over an hour past the time check in time and my wife, our 2 year old daughter and I were just standing and waiting in the small lobby, everything was great. The Manager, worked with us to take our initial experience and turn it into a good experience. Ellen at the front desk was incredible. She was helpful and very sweet. Our 2 year old loved her. Our room was very nice. We used the mini kitchen and full refrigerator ... Read more

We spent the weekend at the Bonita Beach hotel and LOVED IT. The price was very reasonable for our room, which had 2 queen beds, and a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator and a microwave. The kitchenette had a sink and plenty of cupboard space. Our room also had a balcony from which we could see the ocean, although I wouldn't call it an "ocean view." Hotel had an indoor pool and game room. The hotel is less than a block from the beach, which was beautiful. Lifeguards on duty from 10 am to... Read more

Definitely cleaner than Coastal Palms, also updated to modern times...not like the W hotel but doesn't have that motel feel either. 80th st entrance to the beach...is rarely crowded!! A plus, for 80th st more so the hotel but it helps make the hotel better in that way.

We visit Bonita every year. The place is ok but it could be better if they do detail cleaning. I notice a lot of spider webs in the hall way, in the room and around the artificial plants. The balcony railing could be wiped off. The mold on them is not a pretty look. The walls could be wiped down. It really needs to be detail
