The staff was extremely helpful. It was a last minute reservation, late at night and I was extremely tired. They gave good information about local food and transportation too. Rooms were decent and spacious. Free breakfast is available as well. A solid effort.

i was taking a course in the area and this hotel was close by. The nearby former HoJOs in Cheverly is overpriced. While its restaurant is limited but there are nearby good places to eat. The nearby Pancake house is cost effective for family eating from 6Am to 3 Pm. The IHOP nearby is the IHOP. Next to the Ihop is a great nightclub type bar restaurant open wed through Sunday. Itis ratherv pricy but the happy hour is cot-effective. The Fratelli in Cheverly is short driving distance for relativ... Read more

Had a very good experience staying at the hotel! My boyfriend and I were roadtripping down from Boston so we had a long drive to Maryland. We chose this location for its price ($89) and proximity (only 23 mins drive to Washington DC). The check-in was fast, and the man at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean and well kept! Our room was also very spacious and comfortable (especially the bathroom). I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here agai... Read more

The Metro Points Hotel is a wonderful hotel just outside of Washington, DC. It includes a convenient snack and drink shop just inside the entrance. The hotel staff are professional and kind. The hotel was clean in all areas. In the room, the beds provided the opportunity for a comfortable rest. The bathroom included a variety of amenities, such as towels, waschcloths, shampoo, and soap. Various additional perks to the room included coat hooks, a full-length mirror, and a desk. I certainly found ... Read more

Surprised my husband with a trip to DC and Metro Points had an excellent value for the weekend. We were able to be near all the attractions without being in the center of all the hustle and bustle. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and the restaurant was very good. Breakfast and a shuttle to the metro was included in the stay, which made the stay even better. The only issue is that the gym equipment needs updating. We'll be taking the children next... Read more

I needed to be near DC on George Washington University graduation weekend, which meant stratospheric hotel rates downtown. The Metro Points Hotel was a savior. It is a one mile shuttle ride from the New Carrollton Amtrak/MARC/Metro Orange Line station, which makes it convenient enough to be a downtown alternative. If you want a shuttle ride, please do call the hotel when your Orange line train comes above ground near RFK stadium. The wait will be tiny. Rooms were excellent, clean and quiet. Plea... Read more

I had a lot of problems with this hotel. I booked the hotel through Groupon I was told the room would only be 79$ well after fees it was $89. Then I learned that we needed a 100$ deposit for 1 night that we were going to be staying, upon learning this I tried to cancel the reservation but couldn‚??t. So my fianc√© and I decided to stay there it was only 1 night. Well that was the wrong decision. Upon checking in the staff member seemed very distracted. Having renovations done to our house so just needed to stay one night. Checked in before my Wife came home from working late and before I picked up my son from daycare. Noticed a lot of loitering in the parking lot in front of the lobby. Cars with dark tint and several gentleman sitting inside smoking. None leaving or entering the car. Went up to my room where about 10 minutes or so later someone tried to bust through the door. Luckily I had the top lock mechanism set where the person couldn't c... Read more

I found the Metro Point Hotel experience to be quite unnerving, and I never checked in to the hotel. I recently made reservations on June 1st, to stay at the hotel on June 20th til the 22nd. The booking should NOT have charged on my account, but it was charged 3 weeks before my arrival to the hotel. I contacted, My Bank & the Metro Point Hotel. I had to cancel all of my transactions, which was very inconvenient for me. Upon calling the Metro Point Hotel on Monday I was directed to... Read more

My family and I stayed at Metro Points for 5 nights. Our first vacation. We stayed here and used the metro to D.C. Check-in was fast, room was nice and clean, water was hot, A/C was cold, free breakfast ( not the Best But most definitely not the worst) free shuttle to and from the metro station, employees were nice, halls were quite (we stayed on the 9th floor) They do host events downstairs so the lobby had gotten crowded and parking was a nightmare. I hate I couldn't stay longer. Staff was rather nice and helpful. Considering DC conducting train repairs the visit into the city was nice. The shuttle service the hotel offers is convenient, just remember where you are dropped off is where you return to be picked up. Thank you to the shuttle driver Kevin Beard who came back to pick us up, we missed the shuttle for being on the wrong side. We later found out was the actual General Manager who came to the rescue while the driver was busy with bus... Read more

For the price, and considering the time of year I expected less of a hotel . The lobby is nice the floor could use some repair. The Front Desk staff was friendly and helpful. My room was on the 8th floor the hallway smelt really nice. The room spacious, clean and bed was comfy. The breakfast was decent but the restaurant look to be hardly used at other times. Free shuttle to metro station. Several eateries in the area. I felt comfortable. For the price and good service....more than expected.

My wife and teenager stayed here for 3 nights. We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the DC area. The place was perfect for our needs. The Metro was under repair, so we took an Uber to the city, which was about $20 each way. It's surrounded by lots of places to eat+shop, and they had a fridge in the room.

Great stay. I was only there a few hours for business however the room was really clean and comfortable. This used to be a Four Points by Sheraton and it still has a Sheraton feel. Great for the price. The bar drinks are pretty expensive, $10 a drink for very little alcohol and no other patrons at the bar. The staff was very friendly. For a privately owned hotel, not a chain, they do a great job. Would recommend this hotel to friends. Only negative is the bathroom needs updating. Room 1... Read more

Visited the hotel in July 2016 on the way to Washington DC. Ambience is pretty good and the hotel is bang on the highway (not freeway). The cleanliness of the hotel inside the room was also good. However, cleanliness on the passage area on the floor was not up-to the mark and inside the room they had forgotten to take away the odour remover machine which looked very ugly on check in. Was at the hotel for 8 hours and hence didn't experience food or coffee etc. Hence no comments on the same.

I stayed here the last week in July. First, the staff was excellent. Professional, efficient and still personable. My room was ok but there were cracks in the tub. Best part of the room was the view. I stayed on the 10th floor and the view was wonderful. Now, the very best thing about this hotel is the FOOD around it! First, there's a very good market just a short walk from the hotel and it has everything, so if your room has a fridge, stock up. But you won't want to because there's a seafood an... Read more

What attracted us to the Metro Points Hotel was the price and location. They advertised that they offer free shuttle service to and from the Metrorail station. The service was excellent, the drivers and clerks have been welcoming and accommodating. A bonus we didn't anticipate is how reasonable dinner prices are at the hotel restaurant. Visiting DC can be pricey. But this hotel helps you stay on budget!

The only good point is that the room was at least clean. But the serviece is terrible. We requested one room for 3 persons, because we were assured on telephone that the beds are large enough. Stayed here as most everything close to boat show was way over priced. Room was Ok but some of the furniture needed replacing. The bathroom was ok but the finish could use work. The shower was better than most hotels but not as good as some . Beds were comfortable and the lines clean. Food was ok in the restaurant and drinks were mixed well. Doing a lot of renovations to the place so that is to be expected and once done should be above average. All in all a good experience.

Once we drew the curtains aside, it turned out there was also a balcony ‚?? sadly, there was a big wall touching it, so no view ‚?? neither through the window nor from the balcony. Hotel was clean, modern, and free breakfast included. Good deal knowing other options. Foreign tourists were primary clientele.
