No hot water, bar out of stock on nearly everything, burned out lights, paper-thin walls, and loud HVAC unit wakes you up at night. I really wanted to like this place and stayed 3 times but I don't think I can do so again. I don't use the pool but if you do, it has been out of service too.

Came to town for the weekend to look at our wedding venue and we stayed for 2 nights. Took a bit of time to check in, about 10 minutes. But I figured it was worth it when I found out we had a king bed so no complaining. We get up to the room and it looks pretty decent. But once we actually got in the room we noticed all the issues. For starters there were stains and nicks all over the wall, a huge stain on the carpet, and then something on the curtain covering the closet. Those issues alone both... Read more

Let me start with the positives. The lobby is modern and makes you want to sit back with some friends. There is a pool table to pass the time. The bar looks like it has a healthy business. The weight room has a nice variety of equipment. The rooms are comfortable. The bed was comfortable. With earplugs, I slept very well. There is plenty of hot water. We liked the ample amount of body wash and shampoo in the showers. Check in and out was simple. Every employee was smiling and happy to ... Read more

I travel quite a bit and after traveling though terrible weather with my husband and 3 year old we were looking forward to hitting the sheets. It took the front desk attendant 20 minutes to check us in. Yes, I said 20 minutes at 10pm to check us in. She was easily distracted by other guests and coworkers, stopping in mid check in to have a conversation. When she saw I was becoming upset, she became rude and asked me why I was upset. Really? My husband and I stayed here for one night prior to a conference in Baltimore. The hotel has simple, but very well done decor. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful every time we approached them. The shuttle driver was great and very friendly. The rooms are simple, but you have everything you need. My husband and I decided to stay here so we could be close to the airport for an early morning flight. Check in was a mess. There were two guests checking in ahead of us, and three staff at the desk, all looking confused. It took forever. Recently stayed at Aloft BWI for the first time and I was appalled at the poor hotel condition and lack of management. Just check out the photos attached. Stains in the carpet, dirty bathroom tile, scratches on the wall, busted safety lock on the room door. How could put guests in conditions such as this. It was so dirty I was afraid to let any part of my foot touch the carpet. Buyer beware; do not be deceived.

Overall, Aloft BWI was a nice hotel. Got lucky with a room that faced the general direction of the airport, and so I could see many planes taking off and landing. I enjoyed the layout of the room and how modern and simple it was. The beds were very comfortable and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is very upbeat and modern. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone that wants a new experience and wants to be close to BWI!

I purchased my hotel a few days prior to my visit for an extremely decent rate.My only disappointment with this stay is the smashed up crayons on the sheets. The walls are very thin so it's easy to hear conversations take place throughout the night. The hotel provides the convenience of breakfast as well as appetizers until 10:30 pm.A full service bar with Happy Hour is also a plus.

Place is fine, no bad smells, everything in working order in room. The loft decor reminded me of a cool place my wife and I stayed at in Budapest, my wife thought the room reminded her of a dorm room though. I guess I'd rate it 3.5 stars everything was fine, but the walls in the room were marked up and the grout in bathroom area a little dingy. Just needs a little more maintenance to get it over the 3 star hump. I would stay again just not blown away.

Small rooms with unique layout not much storage space. Open layout for shower. A/C kinda loud. Bed was a bit hard, few stains on carpet, and minimal rust stains in shower. For a 3-plus star hotel, this Aloft is in need of some updates to keep people coming back. We had a king room and it was very dated. To start, there were tears in the carpet throughout the room. Traveling for business and want to iron a shirt or slacks? Good luck, because the rooms don't have irons or ironing boards. The mini fridge was haphazardly slid beneath the sink/vanity area.
