This was our second stay at Greenbelt Holiday Inn. This trip included our ten yr old grandson who has wanted to go to DC for over three years. His 20 yr old brother and Mom and Dad joined us. The main attraction for us is the free shuttle to the metro station. Gives easy access to tourist venues in DC. As for the hotel, it is relatively clean and the staff is very accommodating. In our room, the HVAC unit was not controllable and very loud and noisy. Son's family had breakfast in dining r... Read more

Spacious rooms, with mini fridge and microwave. Hair dryer, iron and iron table. Desk, single sofa. Comfortable bed, clean. Very near a shopping spot (Supermarket, CVS, and some shops). Close to highway. 20' drive to Washington (not during rush hour of course). Wifi not very good.

We came in with a group and with different check in days and early check in times, they were professional and never missed a beat. The rooms were cleaned quickly and thoroughly. Joylin in group sales was awesome and Chris and Val at the front desk made our stay great. The housekeeping staff headed by Beverly, I can't say enough about. This team worked together so wonderfully.

Very nice job from beginning to end. Joellen in group was terrific and very professional. Our room layout was just the way we needed it with chaperones placed correctly. The breakfast buffet fed the group quickly. The food was good and we felt taken care of. Evelyn and Aiesha breakfast staff and did a wonderful job of seeing to our needs. Certainly a home run for us.

The Holiday Inn provides basic clean accommodations. The room was nice sized and was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, and there was free WIFI that worked pretty well which enabled me to easily telecommute. They use a card key system and provide toiletries, soap, shampoo, body lotion, and conditioner. The best thing about the hotel is the free shuttle service they provide. Easy location to get to, a little older Holiday Inn, but they had everything we need. We were here to visit DC and got in a little early. Chris got us in our room a little early so we would head out to DC. Chris and the staff then gave us a run down of how to get in and out of DC, what to do, where to go, what NOT to do. We will stay here again because of Chris.

The room air conditioner- an old-fashioned blower set under the window-the type that also serves as a heater in winter- was so loud that it was impossible to sleep. And it didn't keep up with the late May heat. The linens were clean, the bed was fairly comfortable (on the soft side) and there was a bedbug-proof mattress cover. The room decor was drab dark brown. In the room was a coffee machine and a dorm-room refrigerator.By 2pm, they still hadn't made up our room so we just asked for clean tow... Read more

I stayed here because it was arranged by my hosts at Goddard. It has really worn feel. The air conditioner in the room was noisy. The breakfast is served on plastic plates with plastic utensils. The TV only has a few HD channels. But there is free espresso in the lobby. It has a location convenient to the Beltway and B-W Parkway. But if I had a choice, I would try one of the nicer hotels in Greenbelt. The wifi was fast enough.

Very nice hotel but had noise problems from the time we checked in until 3:30 am. Hotel was filled with groups of teenagers in tour busses. I asked for a quiet room and was placed in a connecting room that you could hear every sound coming through the door that joined the rooms. Wouldnt recommend this hotel if you need a full nights sleep.

I chaperoned a school trip with 30 middle school students. We ate here each morning. The friendly restaurant staff served a hot buffet each morning. The meals were tasty and varied each day. We had fresh fruit salad, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage, eggs, waffle sticks, and an assortment of cereals. I especially appreciated the carafes of coffee.

Only nightmare was they were having some work done on the glass roofing at the entrance, so it was all closed off. Entrance was through a side door, through the grass. We called weeks in advance and requested to have our two rooms beside each other. Of course, we check in and they can't do it for us. We heard noises coming from the hallway and downstairs all night. The restaurant downstairs is quite the party scene on weekends - they do karaoke. The bathtub was peeling, so chunks of paint (or whatever it is) floated in our baths. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for families.
