Stayed here over the weekend to visit my cousin and have a quick sightseeing in the DC international mall. Chose to book this place as my relatives live very close by. This place is next to Highway 270 exit 10. Took us about 35 minutes to reach the Capital Hill. Very convenient. The check-in was smooth. I called ahead to ask for an early checkin and was accommodated quickly. The front desk Jenny was very friendly and sweet. Actually the overall services were great. The cleaning staff said Hi ... I stayed here as my typical hotel was booked. It is definitely different than a typical hotel. It is two buildings each with different size "suites". Each suite has a kitchen area, a small living area plus bed. Considering the size of the room and the price (compared to my usual hotel) it was a deal. Like other Marriott's (and other hotels) there was a free breakfast provided. Typical stuff. The eating area was extremely small and depending which building your room is in, you may have ... I will preface by saying we stayed Easter Eve that being said I was disapointed with the overall stay. It was a bargin because we were traveling with our daughter and her baby and our daughter-in-law and grand daughter, so it gave us the space we needed without breaking the bank. The hotel was very clean and safe the staff was great and very helpful. However I judge on how well I sleep.I found it to be noisy from the traffic on thruway and you could hear tvs in other rooms. We had two babies 1 an... Read more

First time stay and it was a bit of an accident as this was not intended hotel (booked by my assistant) . I would never have found it without my GPS! Its in a quiet location, clean and run by nice people While not as close I would like to my target location, I would consider staying here again on my next visit as long as I had a car

This hotel is very close to a shopping center outside DC, where you get a great choice of brand name shops and a big food court. Nice room. Friendly staffs. have a feeling the standard is higher than most of the same level towneplace.

For a Marriott extended stay hotel, this place was definitely below our expectations. First of all no one even asked to see my ID when I checked in. Also, being a Marriot Rewards Elite member, I'm used to being greeted when I walk into the lobby. I had to call to have someone open the lobby door here because it was locked and there was no one at the desk. For the rest of the week, I never really saw anyone at the desk. They were usually sitting in the office area behind it playing on their cel... Read more

We were on our way to Gettysburg from Washington DC and stopped here for 1 night. I picked this place because It had suites to accommodate our family. Upon arrival they told us that they had to give us two rooms with an adjoining door together instead of a suite. It still worked well for our family and we had 2 bathrooms! Unexpected bonus! Very nice and clean hotel. The breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I moved to Maryland due to a corporate relocation. My mother-in-law recommended the Towne Place Suites in Gaithersburg for our long-term stay. Although it did not have the frills we were accustomed to, it had something of greater value, a warm staff who made us and our pet feel at home. Shortly after the arrival of a new General Manager, I noticed it becoming a "Stepford Wives" factory. However, that is not the main issue. It is the tolerance for disrespect and a lack of safe... We came into town for a lacrosse tournament. While I really love having the space with the two bedroom suite, this place is pretty dumpy. Everything is very dated and the room has a rancid smell. We are frequent Marriot members and on my profile request a top floor and away from the elevator. They gave us bottom floor next to the elevator. At checkin when I inquired, there was a room on the top floor but I overheard the desk attendant say under her breath that they were putting someone else in t... Read more

I bounce around a lot for work and this Hotel was located conveniently from the office i was working out of. I spent about 50 consecutive nights here and can honestly say i did not have 1 complaint. The wi-fi for the most part was completely reliable, room was a good size and came with a couch/table, desk, kitchenette. The team here, led by the General Manager Isidro, was absolutely AMAZING. They all make you feel right at home and will assist you with any and everything you could possibly need.

This is a value long term stay brand offered by Marriott, and this location is very close to the office where I am temporarily assigned. I have stayed approximately 150 nights, which have been comfortable though not perfect. The kitchen makes it easy to store and reheat leftovers, heat prepared foods, or prepare simple meals. The available gas grill expands these options in nice weather. The couch makes a better place to relax, and read or watch TV, than the bed in many hotel rooms. Howeve... Read more

The Town Place Suites in Gaithersburg Maryland is one of the best place to stay in the Washington DC area. I have been staying here for the past three months on a project in the area and have had very pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and are very responsive to the needs of their guests. All the staff from the GM, Operations Manager, and to the general staff make you feel at home. This is a very nice and clean hotel compared to other hotels in the area. The breakfast great and ... From the beginning till the end of my stay, I was treated with courteous and respect. All professional mannerism from all staff. I extended an additional night and I made an error on my booking but the General Manager Isidrio Alberto helped resolve my booking tremendously. Keep it up Marriott.

We had a great experience at the Towne Place Suites Marriott in Gaithersburg. The front desk person who worked with me on securing our reservation, Marien Martinez, was especially courteous and helpful. She was able to provide us with a late-check-in and was pleasant to deal with at such a late hour!

We stayed for 4 nights visiting family in the area. We were in a Studio Suite - comfortable for 2 people. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and place settings for 4 - even had a wine bottle opener! This is a "pet friendly" hotel. Small workout room, no pool or whirlpool. The daily breakfast choices included yogurt, waffles, bagels, English muffins, toast, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, fried eggs and sausage. Orange and apple juice, milk, tea and coffee. Warm cookies... Read more

We traveled to the D.C. area for a funeral and with five people in our group, I picked TownePlace since they had the two room suite w/sleeper option for a good price. The suite was spacious and served its purpose. I don't know if I would book again for a longer stay. The furniture in our suite was showing some wear & stains (which I guess is expected from extended stay facilities). Breakfast did not have many options at all and after the guy brought out the eggs, he disappeared, never to be seen... Read more

This establishment served the purpose for geographical convenience for a soccer tournament and I was able to use Marriot points; a winning combination. When we arrived, there was nobody at the reception desk so I had to wait for about 10 minutes. On the plus side, there was some iced tea ready so I had a cup to pass the time. Once they young lady arrived, she was pleasant and got me a room with no hassle. The room was an upgrade for what I had a reservation for which under different circumstan... Read more
