I have stayed at this property several times in the past. Overall those were generally positive. This time the hotel was under renovation. The hotel is getting aged so it‚??s good that‚??s getting addressed. There wasn‚??t any advanced notice that this was the case when the hotel was booked. This isn‚??t a surprise travelers should experience.

Got a room with king bed for 4 nights for my wife and I. Room had a king bed plus a pull out sofa. Small kitchen area with fridge/Microwave/sink. Size of room was about average to somewhat larger than average. Everything spotless. Strange location of TV-sat halfway between bedroom and living room area, but large enough to see ok. Pretty good free breakfast included.

The hotel is a typical SpringHill suites. The rooms include an ante section with a couch, a table, a working table and small kitchen appliances, and the other side of the room is the bed leading into the bathroom, with the sink outside of the bathroom. The hotel is not new, but it holds up pretty well. If you aware of the brand standards, you will not be disappointed. The hotel is situated on the main highway (I-270), and close enough to shopping center and the Metro ‚?? however you will need a... Read more

Arrived at the hotel and had to go in through a rear entrance because of renovations. The front desk was in a tiny room, and I expected the worst. I went upstairs and was pleasantly surprised. I had a large room with two queen beds, a living area and a kitchenette. The room was very clean and cozy. They served a decent breakfast in the morning. Nice hotel, they should just let people know about the ongoing remodeling so they are not taken back when they first arrive. The work did not interfere w... Read more

This hotel was under partial renovation at the time of my visit. Rooms were being updated and the front entry was closed. However, the work was conducted with consideration towards the guests. The manager was very helpful, polite and exuded a passion for his job. I shared a double room on the 5th floor which was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Easy access to and a short walk from plenty of shopping and Washingtonian Square. If not for the construction taking place my rating would b... Read more

My family and I stayed for three nights (May 27-29) for a soccer tournament. We arrived at the hotel and the front entry was closed. You had to enter the hotel from the rear of the building. The front desk was now in a tiny room that only fit one guest. This was the only inconvenience of our stay. The rooms were very nice and updated. Very spacious. The pool was very clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel staff allowed our team to eat pizza in the common area. Much appreciated. Overall, we ... Read more

I had never stayed at a SpringHill Suites before and enjoyed the experience. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious with a clean modern design. I always enjoy the big pot of oatmeal at Marriotts and was happy to see that offered for breakfast.

I stayed here for a few and found the room to be clean and the bed pretty comfortable. The layout of the room wasn't great, since the desk faced a wall, I found it uninspiring to get work done. That and the Internet wasn't great. The hotel was in a good location too.

We visited some friends in nearby Boyds for a weekend and stayed 1 night at the Spring Hill Suites. We had 1 king with pull out sofa and we also requested a portable crib. The room was big enough for my husband and I, our 8 year old and toddler. Upon arriving, the gentleman at the door was very nice and helpful. The check-in process was quick and easy. However, the issue came when we returned to the room, tired of course from a long day with friends and the A/C started to come on. It was very l... Read more

The Springhill Suites on Washingtonian Boulevard was a great find! This new hotel was very clean and had all the amenities. Ramon at the front desk was AMAZING! So friendly and professional. He made our stay a wonderful respite from a long driving trip!

We stayed at the Springhill Suites last weekend and it was very nice, clean and a great location. Ramon at the front desk was very nice and helpful when checking in. Ha gave us some good advice for dinner locations. Breakfast was good but the coffee was empty and we needed to wait. Overall a good hotel and we would definitely return when vsisiting.

Enjoyed this hotel a lot. Was greeted by Ramone- I had a late arrival and had called to state late arrival and he remembered me! After a long lengthy delayed flight, it was nice to get to a place I would call home for the next few days. Although the room as a bit small- it was comfortable and clean. Closed to so many restaurants, shopping areas- I could always grab what I needed.

Stayed for one night on the way to OBX. The front desk staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was slightly less than average for this type of hotel. Not too many choices, not continuously replenished, and the food area was definitely cramped. Otherwise, a great stay.

Great choice for an overnight stop on a return from New England. Hotel was easy to locate and occupied a portion of a large developed property that includes a mall, other Marriott brands, and plenty of places to eat. All within a reasonable walking distance along carefully maintained sidewalks. Lots of people everywhere but not overly crowded. Ramon promptly and courteously checked us in. Property was scrupulously clean everywhere I encountered. Third floor room was comfortable and quiet. Very n... Read more

The room was clean and the front staff was friendly. My criticism was the breakfast service. They ran out of one hot food item every day. The hostess was unable to keep up with refilling the food. She was not attentive. Hopefully she has either been replaced or trained better to meet the demands of the breakfast area. The food tasted fine. We had noisy floor neighbors and the staff was helpful in settling down the noisy people.

We arrived at the Hotel on time and had checked in about 1 hour before arriving with the Marriott App. Ramon was at the front desk, and he was so enthusiastic about our arrival at the hotel. He immediately told us about the hotel's amenities, and presented us with our card keys. There was also a container of lollipops on the counter, which was a nice touch. I am a Marriott Rewards member and our extra's were taken care of for our room, located on the 3rd floor. It was a King Suite and it was sp... Read more

Everyone of the staff was so friendly and helpful. The place is in a very good location. Visitors can walk to the washingtonian center aka Rio area. Plenty of free parking. For the second time, we had a large three generation family group stay at this hotel and we'll be back again. The rooms have been updated, clean and comfortable. One nonagenarian says it was the best mattress he's ever slept on. We descended on the breakfast area to bring in our own dinner so we could all sit together and the older folks wouldn't have to travel to a restaurant after a long drive. The staff was so pleasant, made sure to empty the trash cans so we'd have more room for ours, re... Read more

Check in: was smooth. Front Desk Agent was awesome. He was extremely helpful and quick. I forgot his name but he was African American male and his name may have been similar to "Orlando", "Geraldo". (Please forgive me for not remembering but we checked in under the last name Molino) We booked for my cousins birthday party under the room block "Lango Tucker-Ekpeso birthday celebration". Very friendly helpful front desk team. Big rooms, kitchen area, 2 TVs, 2 beds. Small gym. A few shops, restaurants, and cinema nearby. $12 taxi ride to nearest metro station, then about 45 minutes to get into downtown Washington DC. It can take a while for taxis to turn up so order we'll in advance. Hotel needs a bit of TLC.

I booked two rooms for one night. The price was fantastic and the hotel was worth it. VERY clean rooms! Cute retro decorations. The front desk clerks were all very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was very good and the area was kept cleaned. The only "complaint" was that I had to go on a hunt for a trash can for the bathroom area. I did find one near the desk area in the kitchenette so moved it to the bathroom area. Large wall mounted TV that you can turn to where you want to view ... Read more

This hotel is on the outskirts (20 minute walk) to a lot of retail. It would be better to stay here in the warmer months to take advantage of those stores and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is a good size, but a little strange layout. Breakfast-I give it a C. Very awkward layout to get food and no real room in the line-but once you have your food, the tables are laid out well. The gym was very disappointing which is one reason I won't return. 5 machine... I called ahead to request a bottom floor room because of a bad knee. I checked in at 11:30pm and everything went very smooth. The front desk clerk was very courteous and had my key ready and waiting for me. It was a king suite. Very spacious and had a kitchenette in it. The sink was outside from the toilet and shower which I believe to be a great feature. Especially if you have two people getting ready at the same time. They had a workout room and a good breakfast. Complementary. The eggs were c... Read more
