After my night at Rocky Gap, I was not disappointed. The hotel check-in was seamless. My lake view room was well-maintained. The staff was courteous, efficient, and caring. We enjoyed the sports bar area for dinner where service and the food was good. The breakfast buffet has variety and is so YUMMY. The casino is small but machines seem well-maintained and staff is available for problems. This casino is off Route 68 which gives easy access to Interstate 99 north to Altoona, etc. It is no... This hotel/casino is right next to Rocky Gap National Park. The park is truly lovely--multiple hiking trails, campsite, a lake to fish or kayak on. That's the good news. The hotel/resort could use a serious upgrade. Our room was very tired looking--older furniture, worn carpet. They seemed to be a bit short on staff--everything took a little longer than it should including check-in/check-out, breakfast seating and dinner dining. To be fair, we aren't big gamblers so the primary draw (the casin... Read more

Booked the stay and play package and had a very nice stay. No complaints about anything. AAA 4 diamond must mean very good but was not blown away by room. It was very good but not extraordinary. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a bite at signatures. Food was good but again nothing spectacular. I will definitely go back great evening at the casino as well.

My initial reaction to this property was total amazement. Itā??s stunning, itā??s absolutely beautiful in such perfect natural surrounds. Check in was easy and staff were really helpful, rooms were clean and well maintained from what I could see. My in-laws got a free room so they gave it to us and they booked another room for the $99 stay-and-play combo (you get a room plus $99 casino credit, so basically, your room is free). Unfortunately, this is only applicable during the week so we stayed on Thursday. Rocky Gap is a beautiful place. The grounds are beautiful. One hiccup was that they seemed to be doing work on the parking lot, so parking was somewhat tight. We had adjoining rooms, which was nice. However, the resort is not that ba... Read more

The resort is in a very picturesque locale. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the food is very good. The casino is fairly small by comparison to others we have been to but adequate. There is a separate smoking area apart from the main casino which is a big plus for non-smokers. We have been there twice and will go back next chance we get.

We stayed for three nights, and this was a great getaway for us. There is a casino (small but adequate), spa, golf, and lake activities. Try the paddle boarding for something different. The staff is very friendly, and there are three sit down restaurants on site. The resort offers some shows and other entertainment as well. Rooms are basic, with fridge and microwave. Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner (really poor quality), lotion, and bar soap. Lake view room is worth the extra!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Rocky Gap Casino and Resort, it was pretty much what we had expected from reading previous reviews. We arrived at 2:45 pm and were unable to check into our room until 4 pm. We used this time explore the facility and have lunch. The pool was nice, would have preferred more open skylights to enjoy the sun. Great patio seating with gas fire pits to enjoy the beautiful setting of the lake and mountains. Nice hiking trail around the lake from the state park next... Read more

The room was nice and had a great view. There was a microwave and frig int the room. The TV was a big flat screen. The only thing the carpet needs to be update. The casino was fun, but they have to many of the video games and not the other slots.

The best bed I have ever slept on. And quiet inside the room. And might I add the best sheets. The food was hit or miss. Wish there were more choices. Very clean, tons of slot games...like tons. Must come back to try the golf course which is stunning.

My wife and I definitely enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Rocky Gap. The entire staff was very helpful and courteous. We dined in all of the restaurants. Every server exceeded our expectations. Our housekeeper, Sara, was very nice and helpful. The valet parking team went out of their way to help put our bags in our vehicle. We will definitely return!!

This was my first time at a casino type resort and I wasn't sure what to expect. The parking lot was crowded, so we took advantage of the valet parking and bell hop services. Even though the resort was hosting Rocktoberfest and there were lots of people, we never waited for an elevator, waited to be seated for a meal, or found ourselves in crowded situations. The hotel side was extremely clean and quiet. The beds were wonderful, as was the lake view. Each staff member we encountered was lovely a... Read more

We stopped here for the final night of our long weekend trip. It is located just East of Cumberland MD in a small state park. The hotel is located on the Habeeb lake, which is a small resorvoir. Its quite beautiful and have several beaches and you can rent canoes and paddle boats. We stated in a king room on the 6th floor. The room is generous size with modern amenities including a flat screen tv, a microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot. The room was clean and quiet. The casino itself is a li... Read more

We played video poker at the bar and the bartender was so nice. It was our first time there and we had some promotion points. He was very nice and took the time to help me install those points on my card. I found the place clean. Only problem is very small parking lot -- use valet parking, like we did -- we did not wait long for our vehicle to be returned but it was not a very busy night.
