After my night at Rocky Gap, I was not disappointed. The hotel check-in was seamless. My lake view room was well-maintained. The staff was courteous, efficient, and caring. We enjoyed the sports bar area for dinner where service and the food was good. The breakfast buffet has variety and is so YUMMY. The casino is small but machines seem well-maintained and staff is available for problems. This casino is off Route 68 which gives easy access to Interstate 99 north to Altoona, etc. It is no... This hotel/casino is right next to Rocky Gap National Park. The park is truly lovely--multiple hiking trails, campsite, a lake to fish or kayak on. That's the good news. The hotel/resort could use a serious upgrade. Our room was very tired looking--older furniture, worn carpet. They seemed to be a bit short on staff--everything took a little longer than it should including check-in/check-out, breakfast seating and dinner dining. To be fair, we aren't big gamblers so the primary draw (the casin... Read more

Booked the stay and play package and had a very nice stay. No complaints about anything. AAA 4 diamond must mean very good but was not blown away by room. It was very good but not extraordinary. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a bite at signatures. Food was good but again nothing spectacular. I will definitely go back great evening at the casino as well.

Rocky Gap has something for everyone. I have visited a few times and plan on continuing to visit. Its about 2 hours away from Baltimore but worth the drive. The casino is very tight but fun and very clean. The staff is super friendly; and service is awesome. Just wish the comps were better.

My initial reaction to this property was total amazement. Itâ??s stunning, itâ??s absolutely beautiful in such perfect natural surrounds. Check in was easy and staff were really helpful, rooms were clean and well maintained from what I could see. Pool and gym were both good, plenty of water activities to do as well as hiking around the lake with beach areas. Most of the guests seem to come here for the casino, but if thatâ??s not your thing you can by pass the casino entrance in the lobby qui... Read more

My in-laws got a free room so they gave it to us and they booked another room for the $99 stay-and-play combo (you get a room plus $99 casino credit, so basically, your room is free). Unfortunately, this is only applicable during the week so we stayed on Thursday. Rocky Gap is a beautiful place. The grounds are beautiful. One hiccup was that they seemed to be doing work on the parking lot, so parking was somewhat tight. We had adjoining rooms, which was nice. However, the resort is not that ba... Read more

The resort is in a very picturesque locale. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the food is very good. The casino is fairly small by comparison to others we have been to but adequate. There is a separate smoking area apart from the main casino which is a big plus for non-smokers. We have been there twice and will go back next chance we get.

I took my daughter and her 2 teen age daughters. There was something for all of us to do. The food was good and the room was nice and clean. Nice pool and lake with pedal boats for the teens. Slots for the adults.

Drove up from Columbia, MD for an overnight golf trip with 3 of my buddies. Round trip travel was flawless. Just about 2 hours from Howard County. The grounds are beautiful. A huge lake with beach, paddle boats and canoes. We Played a round of golf upon arrival and before check in. Pro shop...nice, golf carts w/GPS and all the balls you can hit at the driving range. The golf course was beautiful and very well kept. After golf we checked in to lovely clean rooms, check in was a breeze and with... Read more

This resort is pretty nice. It offers most of the amenities that similiar resorts do. It does have a nice pool, clean rooms, awesome golf courses, and a casino. The property is absolutely gorgeous and sits right on a beautiful lake. My only real beef with the trip was the casino. I play a lot of table blackjack and like to visit different casinos. The first time I was here, I had a blast, and won some money. sometime prior to my second trip, they changed the tables up and removed the "21+3" sid... Read more

I can't wait to go back. Our room was extremely comfortable and the food was great. Especially their crab cakes. It was our 42 Anniversary and had a blast. The golf course was spectacular. The casino was larger than expected. The dealers were very helpful teaching me about the table games.

Please keep in mind that we travel extensively and I am comparing it to other hotels with casinos. Rocky Gap Resort is in a lovely area with beautiful views of mountains overlooking the lake. There is a state park right next door with a beach which is also a lovely place to spend the day. It gets an A+ for panoramic beauty. We received an invitation in the mail for a complimentary two-night stay and decided to give it a try. We made the reservation two-months earlier. We drove 8 hours to ... Read more

This resort is a nice, quiet, relaxing spot in the mountains and on a very pretty lake. The rooms were clean and quiet, the facilities were nice, albeit a bit awkward in design...but once you figure out the layout...you will really enjoy yourself. The pub area was fun for dinner, and we sat outside with live music on the water! Everyone seemed to be having a great time and very relaxed. Food was good for the price at the pub. The full restaurant was nice, with a more dynamic selection of food, ... Read more

I received an offer from Rocky Gap for 2 nights accommodations in a suite, 150 in free slot play and 50 in dinner comps. We gamble around the US and to our surprise we recently heard about this place several hours from us but we never had the pleasure to visit. We were greeted at the hotel by a wonderful, friendly young lady named Ky. Such a pleasure joking around with her as she efficiently checked us in and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The resort is located in a stat... Read more

We decided to take a short trip during the 4th of July weekend. We expected large crowds and slow service. I was pleasantly surprised with this resort. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to find areas to relax and enjoy the facility. I will definitely return

Great place to get away and relax and get back to nature. You can camp out, play in the water, gamble, golf or just relax. The food is great and not that expensive. They have refrigerators and microwaves in the room. The rooms are also large and have a great view. You can even take a nature walk around the lake if you want. A little bird watching also never hurt anyone either.

My husband and I just spent two days of our anniversary celebration at Rockey Gap the grounds are lovely If you are not into Casinos, beware if the weather is bad...ours was and thus we did not get a chance to use the trails or the boats. Inside the resort there is no leisure space to relax and read. We stayed for three nights, and this was a great getaway for us. There is a casino (small but adequate), spa, golf, and lake activities. Try the paddle boarding for something different. The staff is very friendly, and there are three sit down restaurants on site. The resort offers some shows and other entertainment as well. Rooms are basic, with fridge and microwave. Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner (really poor quality), lotion, and bar soap. Lake view room is worth the extra!

This was our second trip but definitely not our last. I would give 5 stars but the jacuzzi was broken, and I think they need a restaurant for breakfast besides the buffet. It's a lovely place to stay. The rooms are nice, the golf course is challenging, and the food is always good. The park itself is beautiful and there's lots of outdoor activities.

I love Rocky Gap! I have loved it since I was a kid, although it is quite different now than it was back then. The casino here is small but the machines are new and they are constantly changing. My husband and I have won 4 jackpots here! The drinks are not free, which is a major downfall. However, the casino is smoke free which makes up for the drinks costing me money!! My husband and I only stayed one night. We arrived after a rather long day of tourist activities and driving, a lot of the day spent in the rain, so we were a bit tired and dreary upon arrival. Convenient location off I-68 exit 50. The resort parking lot was pretty crowded, probably due to casino only guests in addition to hotel guests. Valet parking was encouraged but we declined which seemed to be a bit of an issue with very tight rules (only allowed to bring one cooler onto property - 6 pack-... Read more
