My friend and I took a weekend trip to Solomon's Island, Maryland. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. As hotels go, the Hilton chain is not a bad choice for a relaxing stay. The only thing is that with any very commercial hotel the accommodations are good, but they are pretty "cookie cutter". Nothing unique about this place. However, the rooms where clean and had all of the modern extras one should assume. Our room did have a whirlpool tub with massage jets. My friend used it and seeme... Read more

Attended a family wedding. Rooms were clean and nice size. Nice location to get to all wedding festivities. Nice breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and quiet to sleep. Many stores and restaurants nearby. Ruddy Duck restaurant a nice choice just a walk across the parking lot.

This Hilton Garden is the place to stay in and around Solomons even compared to several competing waterfront properties. And it blows all competition away with its full service breakfast/buffet. The staff is friendly and engaging and facilities are up to date Note: The location shares a parking lot with the award winning and ever popular Ruddy Duck restaurant so an amazing dinner and/or pub experience is only a short walk away.

I went with my daughters to a wedding in the area and the hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. No complaints! It does have a pool but we didn't use it. Plenty of parking and convenient. Good night's sleep. I would recommend it and I would stay again.

I got a very hard bed, but was told they are replacing them. So, if that's the case, this is definitely one of the best hotels for the price out there. Great staff, the kitchen buffet staff was very friendly and accommodating to the kids which made our vacation that much more enjoyable. We loved being near the pool!

This was a destination wedding. Family came from Idaho,Texas,Arizona and Florida. The weather was terrible. So our indoor accommodations were important. We enjoyed family time in the large but cozy lounge in between our exscurtions of wedding celebrations. We met in mornings for breakfast and the menu had something for everyone . It was a pleasure to climb into bed each night as it was extremely comfortable and quiet . Our grandchildren also enjoyed evening swims in the indoor pool while I... Read more

I stay here a few times a year for business and appreciate the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of the staff. If I was in the area for a personal trip I would stay at this facility. Its close to Solomon's Island for a boardwalk stroll after a long business stay.

Wanted a weekend getaway in Solomons and all the popular bed and breakfasts were full. So we opted for this Hilton Garden Inn and we were pretty pleased. It's right off the highway and an easy drive into town and the nearby (and excellent) Annmarie Sculpture Gardens. Seems like a new hotel, though the rooms appeared to not be quite as nice as some other Hilton Garden Inn properties we have stayed at. But even though there was a wedding party down the hall, the place was pretty quiet. The beds ... Read more

Choosing this Hilton for a family reunion was an excellent choice. Our ages ranged from 13 to 70, and I think everyone was happy. Two nice pools, one inside, with a jacuzzi, and one outside. Breakfast was not free, but only $10 and included a waitress and made- to- order hot meals (omelets, pancakes,) as well as a buffet assortment. Very attractive decor, inside and out, with colorful and thoughtful arrangements of seating areas, and fresh cookies after five. Blooming flowers decorated the outsi... Read more

Hilton Garden Inn Solomons is a beautiful hotel, large rooms with all the ammenities for a delightful stay. Their hot breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at a hotel -- includes made-to-order omelets, French toast, plus all the regular hot breakfast items in hotel breakfasts. Lots of good, hot coffee, and even Keurig machines in each hotel room. Staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and well-maintained. This weekend was a nice getaway. Hotel and staff were very helpful. Before arriving, when I called the hotel to confirm our room, the front desk staff advised me of a large group coming in and that my husband and I would be better off on the third floor away from the noise. So grateful! It was a good location for getting to Solomon's Island and St Mary's. They offer shuttle service although we did not use it. The restaurant that shares the parking lot with the hotel was delightful.

The hotel is beautiful and in a good location. The room was very nicely decorated but the shower curtain was mildewed. The front desk staff was not attentive to our requests and needs. We had a problem getting someone on the phone the whole weekend (towels, shower curtain changed) and we left very disappointed!

You get used to certain things like USB power ports next to the bed. This hotel has none of that. It looks like it hasn't had an upgrade since the early 2000s. Nothing was bad, just older. Faucet was stiff, older furniture, etc. They have those air matresses but I couldn't tell if the adjustments did anything or not. I personally don't like sleeping on plastic as it tends not to breath.

The hotel is located about 10 mins from Solomon's Island waterfront. Front desk staff not very helpful. Asked about local attractions and things to do, the staff had no clue. Our room smelled like mildew. We also had a large number of ants in the room. The bathrooms are very dated and have no fan. That may be part of the reason for the mildew smell. A great location, parking and the hotel front desk service was friendly night and day, just a bit slow checking in. This HGI was clean and had no cigarette smoke smells, though the bed was definitely less comfortable than most Hilton Garden Inns we've experienced. If you want a good hotel night stay, stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Solomon's. This is by far the best hotel in Calvert County and definitely beats out all others in the Solomon's area! I stay here often when in the area on business. The facility and rooms are always clean and well maintained. The available cook to order breakfast is better than most of the microwave offerings at the other area hotels. Restaurant service is a little spotty depending on the staff on duty.
