The room was nice and the breakfast was good. The room was on the second floor and looks like it had been recently updated except for the cheap imitation brass towels racks in the bathroom that were losing their finish. The luggage carts were all in poor condition and the outside landscaping was in horrible condition. The ground floor exit door on my side of hotel would not even open. The staff was very friendly.

Overall a good stay. I have to say the front desk clerk was nice when we checked in. We were able to get to the pool before they closed it down for the night which made my kids happy. The room was decent, nothing special, but it provided what we were looking for a good night sleep at a good price. The breakfast was not stocked well, I think that was due to the front desk clerk pulling double duty between the desk and the breakfast bar. The location for us was key just a few minutes from Was... Based on other reviews for this hotel, we stayed one night for our visit to Annapolis. And we were not disappointed in any way. The hotel was clean, modern and well equipped. Our "semi-suite" room had 1 King bed (very comfy) and a sofa bed (ok for kids...not adults). Room had a particularly good computer desk/chair for free Wifi, coffee maker, fridge, safe. Nice TV had lots of stations. Pool and workout room. Breakfast better than most.

There are two traditional hotels in Chestertown. We stayed here to save money since our visit was only one night. Our stay in the Comfort Inn was good overall, but our smoke detector was missing (with wires hanging from the ceiling), and our bathroom lights would not come on fully. Both issues suggest that the staff is not caring for the property properly.

Next door is a Holiday Inn Express, go there. Unless this hotel is half the price and you are on a limited budget. The staff here is friendly. My room was 2nd class. The bathroom was recently upgraded and reasonable clean. The room was mostly clean, but the first night there was dust that disappeared the next day. The carpet seemed sticky. I don't go barefoot on hotel carpet, but at times my barefeet touch the carpet and it felt horrible. One of my pillow smelled like perfume. I had two others, ... Read more

The location of this hotel is very good. It's right near Washington College, where we were picking our son up from camp. The room smelled musty on first entry, but it was adequately clean and the bed and linens were better than I expected. For $100 it wasn't terrible. It was very quiet, even though the parking lot was mostly full.

I would have given the hotel 4 stars but for 2 reasons. 1- they were OUT of regular coffee in the room. Not acceptable for a two night weekend stay. 2- the sheets were so small they separated from the mattress when I laid down. Friendly staff, all else as expected. Would stay, again, checking on the coffee supply first!!!

First of all, this is no longer Comfort Inn but Quality Inn. Secondly they are trying to charge our credit card two days after checking out for a second time (and more than we paid). When my husband called the hotel on Friday to dispute an extra $199 charge on our CC 2 days after check out, even though they found it and said we had two rooms (really? UGH) he was also told they would look into it on Monday. It took all morning to even get someone to answer the phone, As far as we are concerne... Read more
