With the exception of my check out experience, we had a great stay. The rooms are clean and updated, beds are very comfortable, breakfast was above continental, easy access from highway and room staff is friendly and accommodating (front desk staff could be more welcoming and accommodating), but two thumbs up!

The room was clean and comfortable, however it was not equipped with a micro-fridge or a microwave. Hotels costing far less have these items standard in every room. Their solution for things that have to be refrigerated was to bring items to kitchen to be stored in their refrigerator, and you come down and request the item you want. Not acceptable solution. Next we asked if we could rent the two above items at extra cost. The answer was a curt "we don't do that". This is customer service? We ask... Read more

We brought 40 eighth grade students for their DC trip. Check-in was fast and efficient. Warm cookies were out! Room set ups were perfect: boys on one floor, girls on another. Rooms were very spacious - everyone said their beds were comfortable. Breakfast was o.k.. Even though other schools were there, the food stayed plentiful. They could open a meeting room when it gets too crowded. Students swam in the pool one evening and there were nice big pool towels. There was even a life guard.

1. Diamond status ( no welcome gift recieved upon checkin). 2. Assigned an incredibly tiny room. Asked for upgrade. Told couldn't be done because changing rooms was "to hard"! After insisting we were reassigned to a handicapped room twice the size. 3. No room service the next day. This has been hilariously the worst Hilton experience ever!!!! Will never stay here again!

This hotel served our needs as we were in our conference. We would recommend it to others. In other places where we have stayed, our accommodations were a little bit better. We had refrigerators and shuttle service, which made it much easier. But the ones that handle the planning and accommodations for the events is no longer doing it. The hotel was beautiful and well kept. The service was great, the staff was great. Blessings to you and much success.

Military Members, Please refrain from staying at the Hampton Inn at Camp Springs, MD (5000 Mercedes Boulevard, Camp Springs, Maryland, 20746). I am a military member and was recently directed to go to Andrews AFB for a short 20 days of temporary duty. There were no rooms available on Andrews AFB for my official travel there so I choose the Hampton Inn for its reputation. I chose a rate of $131 per night instead of the maximum per-diem rate of $179 to save my unit‚??s travel budget $960 (plus ... Read more

I love the new Hampton look! I wish all the Hamptons were this nice! The rooms have a nice updated look. New furniture, tile floor in the entry-way, walk in shower, gorgeous breakfast room on the main floor. The hotel even has a shuttle to take you within a 5 Mi radius, which is great, since there is not much around within walking distance. I would imagine this hotel gets a lot of military business, since its close proximity to the base. The shuttle will take you to the closest metro stop.

Overall the experience was *ok* ... great room, clean, quiet area and no big issues at all but the staff (particularly at check in) was completely uninterested in our stay. It was late - around 3am when we arrived and I think the front desk was sleeping. We had to buzz several times to get inside. We did call prior to let them know we would arrive very late. A very good alternative to the high-priced DC hotels, but customer service is lacking. First, the good. The hotel is in a safe neighborhood within a 10-minute walk of the subway. Rather than walk or take the hotel shuttle, we mostly drove to the subway, parking in a lot that only cost $5.10 per day (can pay with credit card upon exiting). This is a well kept property. All room appointments in great shape. The staff is friendly and helpful. Clean and safe, as all frequent Hampton Inn patrons expect. Perhaps the only downside is having restaurants close by. For the life of me I can't understand how having a cluster of hotels in close proximity is not a great food service demographic. This was an energy efficient room the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This was important to me because my last two stays at a Hilton hotel were undesirable. One was the Doubletree Hotel in Largo, Maryland and the other the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bowie Maryland both rooms smelled and the one in Bowie the shower curtain had holes in it and the sheets had a stain.

If you'd like to see what it's like to sleep in the middle of the interstate, then you should definitely try staying at this Hampton Inn. It's facing I95 and it's absolutely amazing they have the rating that they do. When picking hotel, I noticed its proximity to the interstate and relied on prior reviews. However, I had 0! sleep bc you could hear every single passing car on that interstate loud and clear. When we complained to the attendant, they offered no apologies and told us they had no... Clean, quiet, 1st class breakfast. Service was personable, cheery, everyone seemed to love their job. The breakfast lady waited for my son to get down stairs before she closed. The lobby was very pretty.

It was an ok stay. The rooms are a little smaller than many other hotels I have stayed in. The hotel was ok, pretty much average. It is a nice place to stay while traveling. Really no negative comment.

The people at the hotel were very helpful and friendly when needing help with things. When it came to help in the business room, the front desk help with no problem at all and was very willing to help.

I stayed here for business and chose the hotel because it was about 20 minutes from where I was working and the rate fit my budget. They hotel is very clean and nice and met my expectations. The only downside is that there aren't many food options around the hotel. I believe there is a Red Lobster and Ruby Tuesday not to far but there isn't much else without venturing off a bit. If you're looking for something quick to grab you don't have any options. If you're in the area it's a great place... Read more

I would not have stayed here if my family had been with me. Low income housing project half a block away. Gang members hanging around out front. Bullet proof glass between desk clerk and lobby. It's so bad, they hide behind bullet proof glass, but don't put on their webpage that you could die here, just walking from your car to the room. Room was nice. Clean. Employees efficient, but distant. Will never stay here again.

Very clean. Friendly staff and accommodating. Breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn and Suites including waffles which the kids loved. Indoor heated pool was a bonus. Location is just off the interstate near the Air Force Base. No noise from the highway.

I had room 501, which was at the very end of the hall. Everything was decent (king size bed, desk, flat screen tv, chair, spacious bathroom). The breakfast was ok (waffle station included), but I would appreciate some vegetarian options; I'm limited because I don't eat sausage, ham, bacon, etc.

If you don't want to use the pool during weekday hours, it is a good place to stay. I stayed here while my husband was working in the area and my plans were to use the pool and fitness center daily. The pool does not open until 5pm weekdays. Never have I stayed at a Hampton that had this rule. The restricted times should be listed on their website.

A great place to stay as well as a prime location for Andrews Air Force Base as well as Washington DC for tourists. You are even close enough to the National Harbor as well as Virginia. I highly recommend your stay here for business as well as for your leisure with your family and friends.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed my stay. The bowling alley is a little dated, but it was a nice treat to be able to roll a few games. The indoor putt-putt golf is the most amazing I have seen at a hotel.

We had a great experience at our stay on 11/17-1120. The room was nice but smaller than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this Hampton Inn. I recommend you try this hotel. The rate we received was good.

You can tell that the ownership cares when they put Friedrich HVAC units int he rooms as these are superior and extremely quiet. Fitness room had the weight/pulley/high bar machine as well as cardio. Breakfast area very neat and good fresh fruit choices. Location just a tad back in a group of hotels; driving to restaurants required. Proud to sit amongst many US military at breakfast as well!

Great stay, clean and very friendly staff. Free breakfast was better than I have had at other Hampton Inns. The free shuttle to local sights and the convient location to the metro made this the perfect hotel for us. It made it easy to travel to DC and the National Harbor which was minutes away a great Place to visit.

This Hampton is pretty new (built in 2014). I stayed in a king room with a wet bar, fold out sofa and desk/office area (large) and I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel is located close to Andrews AFB and it isn't far from Washington DC (about 15 min). I would recommend the hotel to family and business travelers alike.

If I return to DC i will be staying here again. I enjoyed the experience and customer service. Most of all the location was easy to get to places. I used the metro to get to DC and I felt safe at all times. I am a city girl so if you get intimidated easily maybe riding the metro should not be your thing. Just enjoy the drive into the city and the traffic.

Hotel was nice overall but I was surprised that there were no shops, restaurants, or grocery stores around. The closest grocery store that I found was a 15 minute drive away. Check in was fine but if you use echeck in, be aware of the rooms not being as large as you see on the map. Due to the shape of the building many of the rooms are smaller than you see online and I happened to check into one of the smallest rooms. Also, my SO got extremely ill and we needed a late check out and were in the p... Read more
