My family and I stayed here for two nights when my nephew got married. Our little sub-group ranged in age from 15 months to, um, over 55, and the hotel proved to be in a terrific location for all of us. Shops and restaurants across Wisconsin kept us fed and amused between events, and that part of Bethesda is also a short ride to other fun things to do.

The staff appeared competent and welcoming. However, I had to ask about perks being a Hilton member. There was an unpleasant odor in the lobby upon arrival but it was gone the following morning. But the same could not be said about the sock like smell in my room which lasted 2.5 days.

Only stayed one night, but that was a seamless night at a good price, plus 3X points. This is my second stay at this facility and both have been enjoyable. The shower and water pressure are marvelous, on the 6th floor anyway. That detail is a biggie for me. Mattress comfy, quiet, ample elevators, convenient parking ($$), and Bethesda rocks. Will choose again and again as long as family brings me to the area.

Have stayed at this property once before in 2012 and found it to be very good then. However, my return trip in May 2016 found an entirely different experience. We selected the room we wanted (a view was part of the consideration) in advance using Hilton's check-in app. My wife arrived ahead of me at 2:45PM and was told the room we pre-selected was not available. Check in time was only 15 minutes later than her arrival. When she went into the room the front desk assigned to us, she found bur... Read more

This hotel did a great job accommodating our students and chaperones on this trip. The staff was very gracious with the kids. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. The breakfast staff even set up extra tables for our group because the breakfast room was crowded with regular business travelers. The hotel store was also convenient and not to expensive for snacks and forgotten items

I usually stay at another chain of hotels, but this trip was for business and this was the recommended hotel. I could not be happier - the rooms were extremely clean, the staff everywhere from front desk, bartender, waiter/waitresses at breakfast and dinner, and even the lifeguard at the pool was friendly and helpful. I especially liked that you need a room key to get the elevator to your floor for security purposes.

Hotel has an excellent location. Maybe, because I stayed on a weekend, they were short staffed. The room was nice enough, but the toilet did not flush. Also when I checked in I was given keys that did not work in the elevator. Hotel is in the heart of a very busy Bethesda, Maryland.

The staff was helpful and professional. They need to expand the TV channel selection. The channels are very limited and I could not find either a Nationals or Oriole ball game. There is a good desk and chair if you need to do some work and a nice coffee machine. The bathroom was clean but they still have material curtains which gives the bathroom a stale smell. This hotel, once located, is convenient to the metro. The room was comfortable. The staff did only what they had to and were not super helpful. The cost of breakfast did not match with what was offered and it was not well maintained. By the time you pay for the rate of the room, internet, parking, breakfast, etc. you end up with an expensive bill for an average room and experience.

This is a perfect location for me. I got there late, had dinner, went to bed, got up early, walked to work. Complimentary bottled water. Very clean. They booked me while I was driving. I stay there often, like when it snows and I don't want to drive home.

I stayed at this location for 1 night on business. I was greeted by a pleasant front desk staff that thanked me for being a Diamond member but also asked me numerous times how she could help me with my stay. The rooms are big and quite comfortable. Room service was attentive, quick and polite...which certainly got my attention. They were also helpful in booking a car to Dulles. Overall I really thought the staff made a great impression and showed their dedication to customer service. I just wish... Read more

This was an adequate stay at a local hotel from the event we were attending at Bethesda Blues and Jazz. Great food in walking distance and lots of covered easy parking. There were some things that could be nit-picky about , but mostly was satisfied with overall, one night stay.

In downtown Bethesda, MD, this hotel is in the midst of whatever you need. It is an older property but has been updated as best as can be. Rooms are as spacious as the property allows but no fans in the baths, limited outlets, etc. However, the rooms are more than adequate and the staff more than make up for the age limitations of the property. The staff are eager, friendly, engaging and helpful. The General Manager, Tamara, is stellar. A welcoming atmosphere and accommodating attitude. A... Read more

I have been staying at this hotel once a month while in town on business and I like the ease of check in and LOVE the self parking (stayed at the hotel across the street once and had to wait in a line for them to bring the car around.) The staff is friendly, the rooms are always clean. I will suggest to set your desired bed firmness as soon as you arrive. I like a soft bed and it needs time to adjust to the new setting if it has been on the hardest setting.

This was our first time to Bethesda for a soccer tournament. Our entire team stayed here. It was about 40 minutes to the soccer fields at the polo grounds, but was worth the extra drive. The fields are in the middle of nowhere. The hotel was right in the middle of Bethesda. Hundreds of place to eat all in walking distance. Plenty of common areas for the team and parents to gather in the evening. The rooms were pretty basic, but the beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure. ... Read more

Great hotel and locale. Convenient for both business and personal travel. Worth staying again. Breakfast was nice. Good staff. Nice to stay at the holidays to shop in Bethesda. Good restaurants in walking distance. Beautifully decorated. Easy to DC.

This property is located in the heart of Bethesda, within a few blocks of the Metro stop and some fantastic restaurants & shopping. Rooms were clean and what is expected from the HGI line. My only issue was that I reserved an accessible room with a walk-in shower for one of the folks traveling with me. Not only was that room not available, but the only semi-accessible room was on a different floor from me. That created hassles throughout the week in waiting for elevators just to move from floor ... On a visit to our family for Thanksgiving, we stayed at the Hilton for two nights and were very pleased with the room and overall experience. We especially enjoyed the Buffet Breakfast. My wife had an omelet made for her that she really enjoyed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, well worth the room charge and highly recommend.

We had a really good night's sleep here. We requested a quiet room and were rewarded with just that, on a high floor. The bed was comfortable, there were many choices of pillows, and the room was clean and pleasant. We appreciated the in hotel dining as we were too tired to roam out by the time we arrived even though this hotel is centrally located in Bethesda and there would have been many dining choices. All in all, a very good experience and we would use this hotel again.

A fairly average Hilton Garden Inn in a nice location in Bethesda. However, I gave it a rating of Poor because of an unusually bad experience with the hotel restaurant. The first night, I ordered a dinner that was quite good, and the next night I went back and ordered the same thing. After waiting nearly an hour, during which I several times asked the waitress when I might expect my food, without receiving a satisfactory answer, I went to the front desk and explained the situation. They offered... Read more

I got in late at around midnight and the staff was extremely helpful getting me checked in quickly. The breakfast was good and a decent price and the rooms were huge and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in Bethesda!
