"I stayed here for 6 nights when I came on business trip to NIH. I chose this hotel primarily for three reasons - proximity to a Metro station, free wi-fi, and free continental breakfast - but also for proximity to the NIH campus. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay but it was August and rates were high everywhere. This was in fact the best deal I could find in the area. The room was exactly as pictured online, and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I had four pillows that seemed to cover a range of firmness/softness - very luxurious! The bathroom was small but perfectly adequate, with shelf space for toiletry bags. Lots of hot water, and the shower worked well. The hallways were a little muggy (it was August) but the room was fine. They have shuttle service to NIH, which I didn't take because I wanted to be there at 8:00 a.m. (at the time they ran at a little after 7:00 and again at 8:30), but since it was only a 15 minute walk in a straight line I got my exercise that way instead. I could equally have taken the Metro which is only1-2 blocks away. Breakfast was standard hotel continental and was a bit of everything - perfectly satisfactory. I could have free bottled water any time, and apparently more chocolate although I never asked for it. Staff were helpful and friendly. The courtyard looked like a comfortable place to sit and read, but I was on business and needed to work. Would definitely go back."

"Pleased overall - sowhat disappointed with the parking - lot was full every time i attempted to park and had to wait for a staff person to arrange a parking place- $30.00 was excessive - if there were enough spaces the charge would be O K-"

"This hotel is somewhat old. My room was fine, although the carpet was old, and there were four non-matching lamps and other random decor. But the room and bathroom were clean and the towels and linens were nicer than a lot of places I've been. I was disappointed that the noise in the hallway and above me could easily be heard, the TV in the next room that was on all night kept me awake and I was awoken in the morning by the passing traffic. I had no problem parking, but it was February, not exactly high season. The parking when I stayed was $15/night, which is very reasonable for the Washington area. Staff was friendly. The big advantage is proximity to Metro and area shops."
