This place is LOVELY!! From the staff to the room to the view... Job well done!!! The price is worth every penny and the experience is memorable in all the right ways... The connecting Ruth Chris Steak House was an equally wonderful experience!! And only a $6.00 taxi ride to or from Fells Point... Shuttle stops at 10:00. Can't wait for our next visit... Job well done Ascend!

We could not have picked a more perfect location to stay in Baltimore's Inner Harbour! Great water view, conveniently located across from the Aquarium and near great shops and restaurants. Connected to 2 great restaurants-McCormick & Schmidt and Ruth Chris Steak House. Serves a nice breakfast buffett (not included in regular price) and fun mid-afternoon appetizer/drink social hour. The hotel is user friendly, not overwhelmingly large, friendly staff, clean and colorful décor.

I would not recommend this unless you are not planning on sleeping before 2 am. There was a loud party on the first floor that you could hear all too well on the third floor ( there are only 3 floors and the sound echoes through the atrium). When that ended you could faintly hear live music from down the street that lasted even longer. The rooms are okay, but not great. About like what you expect from a Sleep Inn or cheaper hotel. There are no refrigerators (and only 1 ice machine). Then the... Read more

I stayed at the hotel for business over the Memorial Day weekend. I travel a good bit so I think I have a fair understanding of hotels and policies. The room did not have mini fridge, microwave, blanket, gym and really no on site room service type arrangement. If your traveling with kids I have no clue what you do. I ordered a pot of coffee which came with 2 mini danishes and a saucer of fruit. It was 12.95. When I got the bill it was 12.95 plus 5.00 delivery fee plus tip. The hotel had what... Read more

Stayed here for memorial day weekend and I really liked the hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff were super friendly, the location was perfect. The hotel is right next to the aquarium and all the restaurants (Ruths Chris, M&S, Phillips, Chipotles, Family Meal, sushi place, sandwich place, bars, etc). When we checked in, we were there in time to attack the free chocolate fountain. The buffet breakfast was $15/adult and free for both of our kids... nothing crazy, but it had "make your own" ... We stayed at the Pier 5 overnight to see a concert at the Pier 6 Pavilion. Definitely the place to be for a sold-out show! The front desk staff was very accommodating and let us check in early. I had requested a room with a view and was not disappointed. The room was clean, not very large but it did have some nice amenities. Stayed here for three nights. Great, helpful staff. They really multi-task, Bartender one night, omlet Chef the next day. The hotel needs some updating, rooms and facilitiy. Only a few rooms have balconies and those are not worth it. See Photo. The Amphitheater next door is extremely loud and concerts go on until 11 pm. I ate in one of the banquet rooms. The food wasn't bad. The staff at checkin and checkout was very friendly. We stayed at this hotel for my husband's birthday and we had a great time. The hotel is right on the Baltimore Harbor and our room had a harbor view (very nice). The hotel is the perfect location, it's walking distance to the restaurants and entertainment. There was also an outdoor pavilion next to the hotel that was having a jazz festival. This hotel was wonderful. Vibrant colors, professional staff, good food, and rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location at the Harbor was convenient to all of the shops and sightseeing places. The water view was great!

Good hotel, great location on the harbour. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable with a good view of the harbour, though fixtures and fittings were a bit dated. I did feel slightly ripped off however, because on Booking.com they advertised 'free' Wifi. BUT this 'free' facility is part of 'guest services' charged at $9.95 per day. This includes a 'free' bottle of water (used 2), a 'free' newspaper (never had one) use of fax and printer (not used).

Had a business stay for 4 nights that was outstanding. Perfect location - convenient and right in the heart of the inner harbor. But the best was the service. Dan, Shawnette, Christine and others treated us very well. They were outstanding and helped to solve problems. Would absolutely come here again for business or with family!

Lots of great things here. We were on the third floor which required our door key to access. Upon entry the room was open and very comfortable. We over looked the coast gaurd ship. The walls are a little thin and the hotel is pet friendly. I learned this by the constant yipping of our little doggy neighbor. Beds are large and the pillows were so soft. Breakfast was very good. The omlet station chef was skilled and made my omlet to perfection. I was unpleasently suprised with my $38.90 per night... Read more

Really great location. Very kind valet. Enjoyed Crabby Hour hosted by Keisha and Cory. Keisha and Cory were the standouts at this hotel, extremely congenial, pleasant and eager to please with drink service and cooking demonstration. Interior of hotel needs attention. Wallpaper coming off In bathroom, chipped paint. Definitely not a luxury hotel but got a great night's sleep in the heart of Baltimore.

We stayed at the Pier 5 hotel last weekend for a one-night trip to visit family. I couldn't have been more pleased with our room, the staff were all wonderful, and the room service breakfast was out of this world! The location was perfect! You can walk to everything you need and right across from Little Italy, too! We had such a great time with a spectacular harbor view. Even though there was a wedding at the hotel last Saturday, you wouldn't have known it - so quiet in our room. I can't w... Read more

I have planned 15+ meetings at this hotel in the last 6 weeks or so and I have nothing but great things to say. We haven't been the easiest group to work with and they have been flexible and very accommodating to our needs. The hotel is also in a great location, right in the inner harbor, which made it very easy for all of our guests to get to. We pretty much had our choice of hotels to work with for all of these programs and I couldn't be more happy that we selected the Pier V hotel!

When staying at any hotel there are certain expectations in cleanliness and hospitality. When staying at a pricier niche hotel the bar is set higher. Pier 5 met and surpassed many of my expectations on our visit during the weekend of November 3rd through the 6th. This hotel was bustling with activity 2 weddings and a conference. The staff was still able to attend to the guests with a calm and professional demeanor as if you were the most important and only client. A special shout to the staff ... Read more

Property is very nice and modern. Room was huge with a very nice view of the harbor. Great service. Breakfast buffet was standard and not too over priced, but you can do breakfast better someplace else just not as conveniently.

Great Chef, Christine who taught my 11 year old daughter to make sushi. She also was the chef for morning meals that made our breakfast excellent. We also had the pleasure of having been served by a staff member by the name of Tyrone who waited on us as if we were the only guests in the place. He was very professional and courteous. We would highly recommend Pier 5 as a stopping point for any visitors visiting the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Respectfully submitted by Jim Carson

Came up to visit family and friends, even though the hotel needs a renovation the staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. The breakfast looks updated from the website. The lobby was nice but the rooms definitely need an update compared to other hotels.
