I stayed here last weekend and had an uncomfortable and frustrating stay. When we walked into the room it was very cold, so we adjusted the thermostat and as soon as the heat came on the heating unit starting smoking and the fire alarm went off. I called the front desk and they had someone come check on it who suggested taking the battery out of the smoke detector to stop the noise or moving rooms. I asked to move rooms and he said he'd take care of it. When I hadn't heard anything for a few min... Read more

Spent one night at the O'Callaghan Hotel in Annapolis, MD. Hotel was within walking distance to numerous restaurants and historic sites including the Naval Academy and the Maryland State House. The room was spacious, quiet, and was able to easily accommodate four (4) adults. In addition, we took advantage of their Happy Hour and enjoyed a discounted cocktail in their hotel lounge.

Realizing Annapolis is one of the oldest cities in the country I was optimistic. The room was large, bathroom was updated. In our room the wall paper was coming off the wall, the vent system in the bathroom in the room was really loud and no way to turn it off when we wanted to sleep. Tables/night table had a lot of wear and chips taken out of it. Carpet was old but the staff was nice and helpful. I'd give the room just "ok"

Attended the Military Bowl and chose this hotel. Our room was very nice. The location was perfect for a walk to the waterfront and to Navy stadium. The valet was helpful and gave us great eating and drinking choices. The only little glitch was that after the game we went into the restaurant to grab a bite. We sat at a table and waited close to 10 minutes but no one acknowledged us. The staff was more interested in serving bar customers. We walked down the street to eat. We would definitely stay ... We made arrangements ahead of time to have Christmas in Annapolis with our 2 adult children and it couldn't have been better. O'Callaghan staff were friendly and helpful as we got settled in and then set out to explore the waterfront area. We had dinner elsewhere and came back for a nightcap that got extended thanks to bartender Maria! This is a good location and we would stay again.

This was the second time we stayed at the O'Callaghan. We use the hotel as a stop on our biannual trips to Durham, NC from Massachusetts. It is very well located on West St. and easy to get to, important when you've been on the road for 6 hours. The rooms are clean and comfortable and everyone is very cordial. A free beverage (this time it was apple cider) in the lobby is a plus. Although there is an extra charge of $20 for parking, we parked on the street across from the hotel with no problem.

Great place. we were greeted by very friendly front desk Staff. They were more than willing to recommend other restaurants and places to go. The bar was very nice and had great Happy hour specials. We ate breakfast in the restaurant each morning and it was very good as well

Overall, not a very good impression. Our reunion committee dealt with the staff since August. The valet discount was not given to us and the person they dealt with would not be in until Monday. We were told to mention the person's name and that still did not help. The 2 desk people when we checked in were very disorganized & at 2PM many rooms were not cleaned. Food at the reunion (perhaps because of the group ) fair Location downtown Annapolis our room faced the concrete wall of parking garage ... Read more

They charged us $25.00 for checking in early. Parking was $20.00. I have never had an early check in fee. Person who checked us in didn't smile and was not at all friendly. Room and restaurant were fine. Hotel location was good.

we stayed at this hotel on Nov 12, 2016 and had worst experience. The Fire Alarm kept us awake whole night long and when called Front Desk, they indicated they can not do any thing ad did not know how to silence it. Pad $190 per night. what wastage of money. Drive ON, do not stay here, Staff in rude and inconsiderate.
