Very hip, very stylish. Comfortable room, which was next to elevator but still very quiet. The room was a little spartan (one chair, teensy table, no desk, no dresser, no closet, but plenty of hanging space in dressing nook) good lighting, comfy bed and huge bathroom. The first hotel room I've had in a long time that didn't have a coffee maker (do all the hipsters bring their own?) and I could have used a grab-bar in the shower. Everyone on the staff was just great, cheerful and eager to ... Read more

Spent one night this weekend at this hotel. It's in a fantastic location - two blocks to the harbor. Valet parking was convenient, a little pricey, but my car came back in perfect condition. We were on a high floor, room 1009. The room is large, even if sparsely decorated... small table and chair in the corner of the room, only one nightstand and small little shelves on the other side, big flat screen TV on the wall directly across from the comfy king size bed. Didn't hear any noise from the str... Read more

Good comfortable rooms in an oddly themed but fun hotel. We had a corner room so plenty of windows. Good, free coffee for all hotel guests each morning. The live shows they did in the lobby were fun to watch for a few moments in passing most nights. Only thing that would keep me from staying here again was one weekend night I was there, they had a local band followed by a DJ, local band was fun to watch and the place was pretty packed with locals and it was a big wait as a hotel guest to get... We loved this hotel. Was initially thrown off by the lack of a front desk but we were quickly greeted and even though I had made an error in booking our two rooms it was quickly remedied and at a better price! Love the carpet free room. The bed was super comfortable, in fact hubby wants the same mattress. Too bad we forgot to look. We arrived on a scorcher of a day but the room was almost too cool. We tweeked it and by the time we returned from dinner it was perfect. Location was super c... Read more

Im afraid that this hotel is seriously not worth the money that I paid for it. Ok- we booked for memorial weekend- when prices were going to be a little more than usual- but seriously, they are running the hotel on a shoe string at the expense of customer services. I arrived very tired from a long haul flight and was directed to check into a machine. I turned this down and instead, insisted to speak to someone to check in. This happened and was quick/ efficient but not the best of initial welco... Read more

This a lovely hotel that works on so many levels but lets itself down at the same time. Pros: The staff are excellent especially Kionte, what a treasure he is, it is located very close to the Inner Harbour and the mattress was the best I have ever slept on. Wooden floor in the bedroom and bathroom was very nice and AC worked well. Fantastic shower. Check in and check out were painless. Cons: No storage closet in the bedroom, had to live out of my suitcase which was unexpected. No fridge but wa... Read more

Fun lobby. When you walk it's unique, open, and cozy. They occasionally have bands or comedy shows in the lobby on the weekends. They also have a game room which is open 24 x7 for guests to enjoy company. The rooms were modern minimal, and spacious. Big thanks to Chianti at the front desk who was warm and jovial my entire stay.

Very stylish, new and modern. The room was HUGE with nice hardwood floors and tile custom shower. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Chianti at the front desk. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the harbor where there was lots to do. Free bike rentals which was convenient and cute. The only downfall was that there was no fridge in the room.

Hotel RL was a great deal! A 20 minute walk along the waterfront to Fell's Point. The room was immaculate, the staff was super friendly! The room was very recently renovated and had a huge shower and modern bathroom. The bed was perfect and the sheets were fresh and soft.

The place is located a block away from the inner harbor in the heart of the city. Overall i thought the experience was ok but here are my valid gripes: 1. The front desk is run by a kid in high school who has not gotten their braces taken off.. don't get me wrong, I'm not age discriminating but when you tell me you can validate my parking in the garage...i expect it to be validated the next morning. The room was neat and seemed to just be redone. It had a more modern feel to it. Large bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness room was good, nothing much different than I have seen anywhere else. Overall it was a good stay. I was in Baltimore for a convention and the hotel was close to everything; the inner harbor, the convention center and the stadiums. I was able to walk everywhere.

Hotel is in the midst of one way streets, so if you're not familiar with the city and you end up in the wrong lane in busy traffic you may have to go around the block a time or two. Valet's were extremely pleasant and prompt with our car, Kiante at the front "desk" was super helpful and always smiling and conversational. If you are looking for a trendy, modern, minimalist, hotel in the downtown area then this is your hotel. If you are looking for a cozy, warm environment then I might try somewhere else. The location is great but street noise is a bit of a problem, however I'm sure that is the case for many hotels in the same area...we awoke to a street fight outside the club across the street around 2am...well my fiancé woke up, I was passed out drunk. The room was very spacious and the pull down bed was a great addition. There was no drawer space and a little would have been nice -- not everything hangs well and you may not want to live out of your suitcase. Otherwise the room was great, very modern and clean. The location of this hotel near the Inner Harbor was fantastic. The hotel staff was very friendly as were the parking valets.

When we walked into the RL hotel, it looked like a trashy prom party was just ending - a foreboding of what was to come. A fellow patron looking to check in asked "Is it like this every night"?, echoing my wonder of what sort of loud churlish ambience is contained by the attractive exterior of the building. Our room was right next to the street, meaning loud arguments, cars backfiring, cars without exhausts going for joyrides - we had to cover our heads with pillows and even that wasn't quite e... Interesting use of lobby as an artists' space. No real front desk at which to check in. Very close to Inner Harbor. Would definitely recommend. Even though we didn't take advantage, I like the option of having bikes to borrow. This hotel really seems to cater to active couples and families.

The hotel overall is fine. The spaces are small but nice and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy and quick check-in. The location is on average good. There are not many places around for a good dinner, you need to walk a bit or even take a Uber. The rooms are good size with a very large bathrooms and nice amenities. Daily breakfast is good and unpretentious. The RL its the perfect place to sleep and take a shower. In the rooms I was missing a small table or small desk to work.

Beautiful bathrooms, nice beds, location allows you to be at the water in no time. Definitely some great takeout near by. The lobby is a great place to get some work done and the free coffee in the morning is tasty! The only thing that's weird is that there are no desks in the rooms, so if you want to work there, you need to hunch over a small side table. But good rates and location and vibe. Recommend.

Let me start with this...the only highlight to this place are the pillows! View- We were promised a city view. What we got was a parking deck and watching the street walkers pick up johns in the morning hours. Sure its a view of part of the city (we were in the city and could see out a window), but do you really want to advertise it? Service- By far one of the worst parts of this hotel. The gentleman who checked us in, Kionte, was very helpful, as was the rest of the staff. The rooms are spacious and clean and well appointed. My boyfriend and I were visiting Baltimore for the weekend (2 nights) for an annual festival that we have attended the past 3 years. The last 2 years we've stayed at a Hampton Inn at Owings Mills but this year we tried* to save a little money by staying at the RL in inner harbor using a promotional code through the festival. Hotel RL Baltimore Inner Harbor was a comfortable, very well-run hotel that I would recommend and stay in again. The location was not exceptionally beautiful, but if you want that, you'll have to pay significantly more to be directly on Pratt/the Harbor. Hotel RL in Baltimore at 207 E Redwood St, Baltimore is a nice new addition to the market. This is a simple concept, boutique, relaxed casual, but classy hotel. The new rooms, new restaurant, new amenities, new, new, new don‚??t hurt as well.¬† The restaurant and bar features a nice happy hour special.¬† The same area turns into a breakfast caf√© with espresso bar in the morning. The hotel features valet parking, or self park.¬† There are several common areas to lose yourself and study or cat... Read more

Very hip hotel, I particularly liked it's style and decorations. Staff at desk and restaurant were very nice and went out of their way to give good service. Room was big and comfortable and had everything we needed, nice wooden floors and a glass door to the bathroom albeit not clear see-through. As this was a short stay we didn't get to take full advantage of everything hotel has to offer but will on our next visit to Baltimore. Close to shops and restaurants. Would recommend to friends.

Can't say really anything too bad! -Hotel let us check in early. -Told us where cheap nearby parking was. $24.00 -close to everything - cool room -good location -friendly staff ****Now know this in the same block there are a few hotels that are over 50% more money, the one thing they alllll have in common is the large construction that surrounds all the buildings makes it quite noisy. I slept better knowing I didn't blow the extra money for the same inconvenience that all the hotels cannot hel... Read more

THE most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever experienced in a hotel. So much so that we checked both, photographed the tags, and are ordering our own. As for the room, very unique and interesting. LOVED IT!

First impressions on walking in are a mixed bag. I like the look of the foyer with its mini stage and seating and the cafe looks okay. The check in computers don't work, annoyingly you can go through the whole check in process before being referred to a member of staff (why not just turn them off?). We get checked in by a member of staff which is fine but I note that the dust around the key card printer is half an inch thick. The entrance to the elevator is also grubby. Sadly the cleanliness... The hotel was beautiful and trendy. From the lobby to the rooms. The staff were incredible. I showed up to find out that I had made a reservation for the wrong night. The front desk staff took it upon themselves to do whatever it took for them to switch the dates and found me a room on the spot, no charge for anything. The man named Keonte even went as far to offer my husband and I a drank at the bar. Incredible!

I love visiting the Inner Harbor, and there are only a few places I will even consider staying at. All have to be walking distance to the harbor most of all. Hotel RL came up on a search. I had stayed at Red Lions before. Never had a problem with them, and this was no exception. But this was a far more modern one than I have ever been in. Check ins are done without a traditional "desk," and have mobile iPads. There is a little coffee shop downstairs with the hotel "dog." Great staff. N... Read more

We were only in town for one night for an interview and the hotel delivered. The front desk was extremely helpful (even gave us a free toothpaste since I forgot mine). Let us check out a bit later. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was huge and modern.

When my coast to coast flight was cancelled due to bad weather, I suddenly needed a place to sleep with my family. We were pleasantly surprised by our spacious room, and enough beds for 5 of us to sleep! The toiletries in the bathroom smelled wonderful to my travel weary nose too.

This is a chic hotel with spacious rooms. The pictures that I have posted should give you a sense of the size of the room. The bathroom is very large and nicely laid out as well. However, there are some drawbacks too which prevent me from rating it more highly, the biggest being that the attached restaurant is very underwhelming. The first night I was here I had dinner at this restaurant and I got a seriously burnt sandwich that I just couldn't finish. I know that at most hotels, restaurants ar... Read more

We felt very welcome from the time we checked in. It is a short walk to the inner harbor and there are an abundance of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I absolutely loved the location and urban vibe of this hotel. I loved the interior style with the mix of modern, industrial, mid century, and contemporary elements. The staff was really friendly and they provide a great check out time! During my first night stay, I suffered in a 30-40 degree cold environment in room 514 because the heat in my room was apparently not working, but after I was moved the next day, my stay was awesome! (and warm! lol)

The staff was warm and welcoming and the room was spacious and modern. The location was key as a launching point to many of Baltimore's wonderful sites and destinations. Wished we had stayed longer and would definitely recommend and stay again. The bikes they loan were helpful too. If I had anything negative to say, the room temperature was a little warm and we couldn't figure out how to change that, but we also didn't ask for help.
