When I checked in the young lady was very nice and greeted me as a platinum member. I asked about breakfast and was told that it was not included which I was surprised as Platinum members usually get a complimentary ticket. I was told that if I asked a manager in the morning that they would comp the meal. I went to my room and rested for the night. I was in room 220. It seems that all of the even number rooms back up to the highway which is very loud. Ask for a room that is not next to the ... Read more

We arrived on graduation weekend for the Naval Academy and the hotel was very busy. The front desk was very accommodating and was quick to answer any questions. The rooms were in good shape but could some TLC. There is some wall paper that needs to be repaired, carpet that needs to repaired with carpet not fully adhering to the floor. The corridors were very warm and stuffy. The hotel has a restaurant inside the building but we did not eat here so I am indifferent on the food in this locat... Read more

Wanted a nice weekend getaway with my wife. Thought this hotel, being part of IHG would be a good choice. Wrong! Entering the hotel one would assume it to be very nice. We checked in, went to our room and was disappointed. For a king room, this was very small, no mini fridge, smelled of mold/mildew. The decor was outdated, room not as clean as it should be, the counter in the bathroom too low, I am 6' tall. Certainly not up to the standards I would expect from this hotel brand. We hav... Firstly, we booked 2 rooms to be adjoining, we were told by Mgmt they had none avail., they came up with 2 rooms but not double beds as we booked, so unfortunately someone had to sleep on the sofa. In addition the breakfast is terrible that you have to pay for b/c its not included. Sunday the day we check out the fire alarm went off early in the a.m., we couldn't get down the stairs in a timely fashion because there were senior citizens that could not walk down the stairs and the hotel had no a... The staff & pool were great, as were the room darkening curtains. Good location near many restaurants and shopping. The bed was comfortable. That's about it. Now the negatives... Carpet in the room was pretty badly stained. There was a lot of hair stuck to the bathroom ceiling, which was low. Room was smaller than average. Breakfast not included, but I did expect that being a Crowne. There was very loud noise (construction?) above my room on the 6th floor between 3-5 pm. It was quiet at night, b... Read more

This is a tired hotel. I know that the message is that reno's are coming. Yes, this may be true. But in the meantime, if you stay here now that is irrelevant. Our first room on the 3rd floor was very smelly. We were in there for about 10 minutes when we just couldn't take it anymore and had to request a different room. It smelled like rot, mould, some sort of leak. The staff were accommodating and moved us to another room that didn't smell as bad on the 2nd floor. It was adequate. The... Read more

Traveler beware. Do not be fooled by websites ranking this hotel as 4 star or even higher. Once you pass the impressive entrance, you will enter into an aged and worn hotel. Our first room and TV issues, so we were moved. The second room had a drain in the bath floor that wreaked like a dirty urinal. The next morning the fire alarm went off, with the daunting loud speaker announcement that this is not a drill...begin evacuation now to your exists. I asked a worker where should we go.... Read more

This hotel was very convenient for the purpose of my trip. It is close to a mall and not too far from downtown Annapolis. If you are going to an event or sporting event at the naval academy, this hotel is close to that too. My room was very comfortable and the price was good compared to the other hotel I stayed previously where the furniture was falling apart and the price was too high for the quality. I only stayed because there were no other rooms. Anyway I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza.

We arrived several hours early, and checked to see if anything was ready. We were given the option of 2nd or 3rd floor. I asked which was nicer and if they were renovated and was told I would need to wait for the 5th floor. No problem! We weren't in a hurry and it was so worth the wait. We shopped at a few nearby stores (there's plenty!) and ate at Mike's Crabs and the room was ready. It was clean, comfortable and very modern. There was an envelope with my name on it and a crystal bowl o... Read more

We stayed at the Crown Plaza last night as walk in customers. We had come to Annapolis when a special baby was born at the medical center less than a mile away. I was happy that we were able to find a place with a comfortable bed and lots of nice fluffy pillows. I was disappointed though that the shower wall grout was dirty and a previous guest's dirty wash cloth was still hanging in the shower. The desk attendant was pleasant though and willing to arrange a room quickly as apparently we look... Read more

We got a last minute hotwire special here for $65 plus tax. For that price have absolutely no complaints. However if you are paying full price I would feel differently. The close proximity to chains and a mall are great and it is about an 8 minute drive to the downtown area. There was no ice machine on our level as it was being refurbished, the shower kept leaking out onto the floor, and the tv was a bit troublesome. Nothing that would be very off putting for a great price!

A year ago I was at this hotel (formerly called Sheraton Annapolis Hotel) for a three-day and reviewed it with its worn hallway carpets, slow elevators, and just an old look of a great hotel on the other side of the hill. The most recent visit confirmed the name change, but little else changed. Now they charge for the morning coffee in the lobby. They have new luggage carts that are more user friendly, and the staff is warm and helpful (but isn??t that expected?). If you were to put the hot... Read more

I have been at this property before, when it was a Sheraton. Not a whole lot has changed with the new owners. First the positives. Lots of parking (and it is free). Close to a lot of stores and restaurants. There is a big mall across the street. I am not a "Mall Person", so I went there once. There is a much more interesting outdoor mall near by, which I encountered two years ago. Better restaurants and a more interesting crowd. I think it is called the Annapolis Towne Center (you know ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and if we could have changed hotels, we would have. It's extremely dated, which I could handle, but our room must have been directly above one of the event rooms and the walls were so thin that the headboard on our bed was literally reverberating with the bass. No sleep at all. Also, given the fact that the water from the taps was brown that night...gross. We asked about the issue with the water and were told that it was a city water main break, which was n... Read more

Me and my fiancé stayed for two nights. I was really excited in staying here however that all changed when we arrived and noticed we could not take a shower or use the bathroom becouse there was brown water coming out of the faucets, shower and bathroom. I have stayed in alot of hotels in different countries and i have never seen such a thing. Other than that customer service i give 5 out of 5. The room was nice. However i will not stay here again.

This hotel is nice in terms of lobby and service. But it is too cheaply made in that the walls are so thin that I had the worst night of sleep in as long as I can remember. I was put in a room with an adjoining room so we had a connecting door. The couple next door came in late and at 3 am woke up and engaged in a very loud hour of fun. I felt like I was in the room with them. Had there been a child with me it would have been incredibly uncomfortable and awkward. The door between the two rooms d... Read more

Reception was very helpful and friendly. The lobby area appealing and quite nice. Our room was comfortable and provided a good nights rest. It didn't quite live up to my expectations of a Crowne Plaza but mostly I think it just needed freshening. If the soiled carpeting was replaced, I would probably say 4 stars. This is another time I would vote 3 & 1/2 or a good rating.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for one night while in Annapolis shopping for a boat. The room was very nice and clean. The staff were friendly and the lobby area was very welcoming- we especially enjoyed the cold, fruit-infused water upon arrival. We did not eat at the hotel as it is quite expensive and there are so many places nearby to suit any budget or taste.

I stayed here back in April after a very long day of my work in Annapolis. I paid about $115 for the room which I thought was reasonable considering it is Annapolis. I checked in around 2 AM and as I was making my way to my room, I noticed how dark, old, and soiled the hallway carpet is. The walls in the hallway needed some painting job. From the second we walked through the door, this was a beacon of light after a long and treacherous journey. We traveled over 1000 miles due to a death in the family and arrived at another hotel, which was the absolute worst hotel experience we ever had. We got a free room with our points which we could only use here or the Holiday Inn and it was full. Reading the reviews I have to admit I was nervous. Honestly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. The lobby is beautiful, parking is fine, and it's close to everything. The room was decent - not fabulous but adequate. The bathroom was small but very clean. I have no complaints. A fridge and microwave in room would've been nice.

When I had made the reservation I noticed that the hotel is right off of Route 50 and I thought it might not be that great but it's surprisingly nice. The front desk staff was lovely and the lobby is very nicely decorated. Our room was perfect and even though our window faced Route 50 the traffic was not that noticeable. Downtown Annapolis was very close and there was plenty of shopping near the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel at the end of August, 2016. I was in a wedding and needed to be close for events. I arrived and the hotel entrance appeared clean. We stayed one night this past weekend for a race. We stayed in a suite on the second floor. They had jacked the prices up really high because of the big running race and it was not worth the price! Hello, My stay was supposed to be until 7th of DEC but I will not be staying any longer? This has been absolutely ridiculous!
