This is a nice clean motel. We stayed in a room that included a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave, and a fridge which are standard. They have a nice little continetal breakfast. Breakfast sandwiches, bagels, cereal, fruit, english muffins and a few more things. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I noticed was the outside pool is being redone,

We were in town for my nephews graduation from Thomas College. I called directly to book hotel. The associate was very friendly and helpful. Once we arrived they had set up a table with goodies to welcome the graduating colleges. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay very nice. Melissa, our chamber maid went above and beyond to clean our room and was very very kind. Nikki in the restaurant was top notch customer service and the food was ALL amazing. I highly recommend this hotel as a ... Read more

If you are looking for a no frills clean place for a night or two, this is a good option. We were on a college tour and needed a room that was clean and had two queen beds. Often times you only find double beds. This hotel was a good price for a clean room.

This is a small chain hotel with locations in Maine and perhaps NH. In Waterville, the hotel is right next to the highway and adjacent to a Walmart plaza. I'd compare it to a Fairfield Inn, but with a few amenities that made our one-night stay better than expected. Namely: very clean, queen beds, small fridge in room, fabulous water pressure. If we'd stayed longer, my teenagers would have surely taken a dip in the lovely outdoor pool, sheltered in a courtyard from the highway and parking lot. Co... Read more

Repeat visitor to this hotel to visit relatives with a nice experience each time. Large clean rooms, microwave and good size fridge. Morning breakfast has a wide selection of fruit, yogurt, various bagels, muffins and hot sandwiches that you can eat in the cafe or bring back to your room. And the welcoming whoopie pies are the best.

We visited Colby College and stayed at this hotel. It is conveniently located only a couple of miles from the campus. The rooms are very big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee are complimentary, and there is a nice outdoor pool.

We stopped here with 60 members of our car club and used about 30 rooms. We were impressed with the friendly staff. They handled our group our group quickly and helped our members with their requests throughout our visit. Some evenings have complimentary wine and cheese. Our group enjoyed this. There are several places to eat within walking distance including one in the hotel. We checked other hotels in the area and this was by far the best value. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in th... Read more

Yes this place is old but, in my opinion, it has aged gracefully and it is well kept. I actually enjoyed my one night here. Why I had to think about it is because I have never been in a hotel that was laid out so strangely. The lobby is kind of tucked down in the basement out of the way. Not the warm welcoming room greeting guest when they first come in. The room numbering is also perplexing based on which "U" you are in. The free breakfast was free but really nothing to write home about. ... Read more

My husband is a long haul trucker and I am a travel agent. I was on the road with him and we did a last minute stay here. They offered a great rate for truckers and free wifi that wasn't slow. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The amenities in the bathroom were from Bath & Body Works. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The lobby itself upon checkin w... Read more

I was traveling to Arcadia Maine and it got too late at night so we stopped to check their pricing. The lady at the front desk, Nancy, was very empathetic to do the traveling we did and the late hour, and provided as a manager special pricing. That's paid about $40 or so off the regular pricing. The accommodations were clean, respectful, and for the money a great value. It was also even great that in the morning they had a restaurant right next door, made for a quick breakfast and the continued ... Read more

The hotel is conveniently located close to the 95 highway so it is very easy to find. It is surrounded by places like Walmart or Starbucks so all your needs during your travel shall be covered. Just 1 mile from Waterville city center it makes going to dinner or lunch just a breeze. Breakfasts are generous and good. Our room was in reasonably good condition, outdoor area with swimming pool and whirlpool is also plus. Bit dissapointed I was with the gym, could not use neither treadmill nor elipti... Read more

Friendly, helpful staff really make this a nice place to spend a night. The accommodations are comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to move us to a room which had better access for my friend with mobility issues. There's an outdoor pool, a small exercise room and a "comfort food" restaurant attached to the hotel. Breakfast is included at the inn--with juice, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee, etc. However, as I have an odd diet and just wanted plain oatmeal, there's a Star... Read more

My husband and I made our annual trip north and stopped for the night at the Fireside. Our stay was as good as it always is. The room was very clean and the bed just about as comfortable as you can get! The service at the hotel was excellent and the food at the adjoining restaurant was delicious. We always make it a point to stay at this hotel and other Lafayette properties through out Maine, but I think the Fireside is the best of the group!

Very clean & nice touches from homemade chocolate moon pies at check in to micro wave popcorn in your room. Property is older, could use some sprucing up in the halls & stairwells & not fancy but clean. Big outdoor pool & hot tub. Attached restaurant serves good home made food & awesome huge delicious desserts.

We stayed one night at the Fireside Inn on our way home from New Brunswick. It was a very nice little hotel, beds were comfortable, breakfast was plentiful, staff was super friendly and best of all a nice big grassy area where I was able to throw a frisbee for our dog who had been in the car for far too long. The hotel even gave me a dog bowl and biscuits for our dog and a moon cake for my husband which was appreciated by both. All in all a great choice for the night.

Stayed here for a convention and found this hotel very comfortable and quiet. There is a Continental breakfast served in the lobby, plus there is a good restaurant attached to the hotel. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. It's also a good place to stay if you have chi, judging from the amount of families I saw staying here.

We travel with our four dogs, so as you can imagine, finding accommodations is a major challenge. The Fireside Inn welcomed us and we were so comfortable and so happy with our stays. Unfortunately our stays were very short since they were just overnights en route to other locations. But the room was absolutely perfect for the dogs, and us -- bare floors instead of carpet, spacious room, lovely bathroom, wonderfully comfortable beds, and right next to the exit for easy outdoor access to grass ... The Fireside Inn and Suites in Waterville, ME, is a medium sized older hotel that has failed to make the updates and improvements that today's travelers expect. The carpeting was gaudy, worn, and out-of-fashion, as was the wall paper. The woodwork was scarred and nicked. The staff at the "front desk" if you can call it that were not very friendly nor professionally dressed; their help was marginal, and their answers short if not curt. The "breakfast" was very minimal and the area only had thr... Read more

After long days on the road, this place is a real treat right off the interstate.. Complimentary whoopie pies for everybody, clean room, good wifi, excellent channel selection on the TV, friendly folks. Big plus: Governor's Restaurant in the same building, open 6AM - 10 PM with recognizable, normal food at normal prices (no artisanal fol-de-rol at artisanal prices). Real supper (stuff yourself 'n' sleep) if you get in a little late, real breakfast if you have to leave early.

if you have trouble with stairs, don't bother with this place. the reception area is down some stairs from ground level and then back up. I booked from an online site and when i checked in the couple in front of me was given a price $60 cheaper than mine. The hallways had clumps of dirt in main hallways when we checked in and out. The toilet seat had multiple cracks. There was BARELY enough water pressure to get wet with in the shower. the backside of hotel rooms are close to I-95 I would never ... Read more
