We stayed one night as we travelled to northern Maine. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. The hotel and our room were very clean. The bedding was awesome - which we had this at home. Breakfast was great - eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and pastries with all the drinks - coffee, teas, milk and juice.

We were a family group of 7 Aussies doing a mini road trip of New Hamshire & Maine, and Biddeford was a convenient place for us to stop on our way from the mountains to the coast. The Holiday Inn was great, very clean rooms, and spacious for a family of 4. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool, and my son & husband utilised the lovely green grass out the front to play some gridiron! It was a very quick drive to a few restaurants, we went to Applebee's, and the included breakfast was good. I can't... Read more

Nice hotel, great staff, good breakfast, good room, terrible parking. When we arrived after getting off of a flight to Portland, the parking lot was chaos. People were parked absolutely everywhere - in the entry circle, on curbs, etc. There were multiple semis and trailers taking up a lot of spaces. I understand the need for them to park, but there simply isn't enough room - there needs to be separate parking. Overall a good experience, just frustrating sometimes.

The room was extremely clean and well appointed - microwave and mini fridge/freezer which I didn't expect as well as the coffee maker. The breakfast was delicious and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I arrived early and the desk clerk allowed me to check in so I could get some rest after a long drive. The only negative was booking through trip advisor which was $25 more than if I had called the hotel directly to book!

We started looking far too late to start looking around for another motel. That's on us. Our fault. Our AAA gave us an ungodly rate of $142 (w/tax $155). For a Holiday Inn Express?? We were still given a lousy room next to an ice machine, and when we complained they said they were full. All we can advise is; DO NOT get a room next to the noisy ice machine. Guests use it all night and no sleep. Rooms would normally be fine at this HI but to charge a top rate for a noisy room is unacceptable. Thi... Read more

We had originally booked some place else, but due to unsatisfactory conditions we decided not to stay there and looked up hotels anywhere near. This one came up so we booked and drove the half hour. When we arrived the guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. We were surprised at how big the room was! Everything about this was a huge upgrade from where we'd originally booked, and we only booked at the first place because it was close to the beach... Read more

As most holiday inns it maintains most of the quality of the corporation. Beds were firm, rooms were clean, BUT it appeared the bed sheets were either over washed or just stained. They were clean. We were upgraded because of our point level to a very nice spacious room. Breakfast was the usual. Nothing great, but the standard express breakfast as all the properties provide.

Overall all was above average at this Holiday Inn Biddeford. Beds were comfortable, the room clean and it was quiet.Breakfast was slightly above "average".NO PETS are allowed.which is a big plus for us Location was very good, considering we did NOT wish to room in the heavily populated summer resorts areas.Marginal way in Oqunquit is only a half hour away as is the renowed Lobster Shack at Cape Elizabeth and about 40 miutes to Nuble light house and Foxes restasurant. at York. In short, we were... Read more

Thanks Kathleen for taking care of us! We rolled it late at around 930pm and got a room - specifically asked for one with a fridge as we had some groceries. Settled in an hour later and realized the fridge wasn't getting colder - Kathleen came up with two ice buckets filled with ice and even pulled out the fridge to check it, but could find nothing wrong. She offered us a room change but we decided to make do with the ice buckets. Even though things didn't quite work out, we were impressed by ho... Read more

The best feature is the breakfast, which is included. It is worth staying there, just to use the pancake machine- it's like magic. No noisy neighbors, and beautiful rooms, which were cleaned well everyday. The only difficulty is limited seating space for breakfast. I would recommend increasing the seating, or extending the time to 9:30 or 10:00 and/or providing trays to take the food upstairs.

Stayed here and visited Portland, Old Orchard Beach, Kinnebunkport and Ogunquit. This place was no more than an hour from each of these on Rt. 1 (not the expressway!) It was clean and updated. Breakfast was weak. Prefab eggs are unacceptable for the price we paid for these rooms. Sausage was gray. Both were never more than luke warm. Stopped trying after a couple of days...

Freshly renovated hotel located in close to portland. Just a quick 20 minute drive. Very nice rooms. Good small pool. Yummy breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I were heading to here or Portland. I prefer this one because it includes breakfast and the rooms are cleaner.

This is one of the best, cleanest & very nice breakfast options for a Holiday Inn than in any place I have stayed. Just as nice as Hyatt or Hampton. Kinda off the route but close to everything! Well worth the money spent. Front desk was extremely nice. Beds the most comfortable I have slept on and bathroom was spotless. I am picky and they met my expectations. You can tell the owners also have High expectations and the staff cares for the place like it is their own. Thank You Holiday Inn E... Read more

This was your basic good Holiday Inn Express. Clean. The housekeeping was quite attentive to detail. Sheets seemed extra crisp/fresh (that's a compliment). Microwave and decent sized mini-fridge in the room. Wireless internet reception good. AC worked well. Free buffet breakfast included eggs and bacon, a nifty pancake making machine, plus the rest of the usual offerings. The eggs seemed to be of the microwave type - omelettes with Velveeta-type filling. (I typically try to avoid highly-pr... Read more

We booked two nights here in mid-August as it was the most affordable option we researched. An easy 30 minute drive up to Portland as well as easy access to cute coastal towns such as Old Orchard Beach, Kennebunk, and our favorite, Ogunquit (head down to Perkins Cove). This HIE was not originally constructed for this brand, but they have done a nice job over the last couple of years renovating the entire property. Our location on the third floor next to the elevator was perfectly quiet. The brea... Read more

Location outside of Kennebunk port, Maine was just about 8 miles. Since we like the Holiday Express inns for road trips this was perfect. The accommodations were spot on. Clean, comfortable and courteous managers and employees. Only problem was, since we are semi retired and not used to crying babies and loud families, I did not sleep till past mid night??but, the manager did offer to change our room. So, my fault , I just did not want to pack up.

Our stay here has definitely upgraded my opinion of this chain. I chose it for price and location. It is not far from a lot of the attractions, while easily accessible from the interstate, although it is a little hard to find, as signage could be improved along the main roads. Reception was friendly. Room was nice, with plenty of space, and in excellent condition. I was very pleased with the room. My only complaint. (which doesn't influence my rating because it goes with the chain) is that I ... Read more

I stayed here for business recently and was surprised that it was so pleasant, as I usually stay at Hilton properties. The room was large and had separate space from the beds with a chair/ottoman/desk and kitchen type space with a refrigerator, microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. The location is close to the highway and is down behind a medical center, so not hard to find. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. There is free parking, a small, but well equipped gym, indoor heated pool, free b... Read more

We recently stayed overnight at this Holiday Inn Express near the Interstate. Our stay was completely satisfactory --- speedy check-in and checkout, and sleeping quarters & bathroom of our room were clean and nicely appointed (within the context of this kind of lodging). The room includes a desk area that is large enough to use, if you had such needs. We had a room on the top floor away from the entrance area, so very quiet. Room is equipped with an undercounter refrigerator and a Keurig c... Read more

We stayed for 5 nights at the Holiday Inn Express. We like this part of Maine very much and the hotel is well positioned for visiting Portland, Kennybunkport and the surrounding area. There are a number of chain restaurants, a Walmart Superstore and Market Basket 5 minutes away by car. Our room was on the ground floor. It was a good size quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hot buffet breakfast in the morning was fine. We did have a problem on one of the days concerning room cleaning. T... Read more

The Holiday Inn Express in Biddeford is by no means a luxury hotel, but it is comfortable, very clean, and is very well run. We were there on a Saturday night when the hotel was full, but everything was well organized and breakfast the next morning was substantially better than one might expect. Overall, the room was quiet and comfortable, and the overall hotel operation demonstrates that the owners/operators pay a lot of attention to details. We will definitely stay there again when in the a... Read more

This is perhaps the nicest Holiday Inn Express we have experienced. The room was very large and well furnished. It had a nice microwave, mini fridge and well-working AC and Heater. Very clean, exceptionally comfy bed and pillows. Towels were thick and fluffy. The only negative was the dim bathroom lighting. I reported it to the front desk and the young man apologized and said he would have it checked.

This hotel needs some more updating to bring it up to the Holiday Inn Express standards. Still has a cheaper Comfort Suites feeling. Our bathroom toilet was wobbly on the tile floor....the tub was very dirty looking (not sure if it was hard water built up) I didn't want to touch it...there was dust on the vents on the ceiling in the bathroom...and the door opened right up on the toilet with a 1-2 inch clearance. So moving around in the bathroom was difficult. There was an older woman there ... Read more

This was our first time staying at a Holiday Inn Express property and were pleased with this location. We selected this hotel because of it's proximity to Portland and Kennebunk. The rooms were large, clean, and quiet. Our room had a fridge as well. I think families of 4 or 5 would sleep comfortably here, the rooms have plenty of space. If we find ourselves traveling to the area again, we'd look to stay here first.

We stayed here for the last 3 days of vacation. Wonderful stay!! Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Check in and out went smoothly. Friendly , helpful staff. Breakfast was kept full and had a good variety on all 3 mornings even though the hotel was completely booked. Lived up to IHG standards and more.

I have stayed at many other Holiday Inn Express hotels and this one was great as HIE always is. Clean, neat, friendly and very comfortable..Everything you expect from IHG and HIE. If you need a hotel in this area, why not stay here.

This hotel is out of town which is reflected in the price but is easy to get too and there are many eating places near by. Note the hotel has no restaurant. Service and experience were first class. This app insisted on a limited number of letters but there is nothing more to say, it a good hotel and location.
