You cannot get any closer to the airport than this. It is relatively new and well maintained. The hallways are brightly lit. The lobby is small but pleasant and cheerful. Front desk staff are friendly and efficient. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have full amenities. Cooked to order breakfast was included in our rate. There were also other options in the small buffet. It is easy to get in and out of the hotel but downtown is not within walking distance.

We needed to be close to the airport and have a shuttle. The hotel is great and the hotel shuttle ran 24 hours. We really enjoyed the 24 hour shuttle as we arrived late and then left early to the airport.

The hotel was easy to find. The staff was very welcoming and helpful when we had any questions. The room was large and very clean. Even though we were near the airport our room was quiet and we were able to sleep just fine. The buffet breakfast that was included with our room was very good. The food was fresh and hot and the staff was great.

There was a fire in the night, guest dryer caught on fire, these things happen, however the front desk staff was completely untrained and unprepared. They were trying to find a manual to figure out what to do. They didn't know how to ensure safe evacuation or who to call. It took the fire department more than 15 mintues to arrive, if this had been a more serious fire this would have been dangerous.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn next to the Portland Jetport last week while traveling for business. I have stayed at several other Hilton Garden Inns throughout the Northeast and in Florida. This was by far, the best experience yet. The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean (with so much attention to detail that the tissues were folded into a flower atop the tissue box), the breakfast was fresh and tasty, internet was speedy, and for the brief amount of time I was in the... The hotel is very nice but the pillows in my room were horrible. Even my youngest son hated the pillows. They were WAY to soft. We tried to double and even triple up the pillows but that didn't work. Due to the softness of the pillows we all had a very bad nights sleep. If you choose this hotel maybe bring your own pillows.

The hotel is right across the street from the airport, you can probably walk to the airport. Luckily, is a small airport and there isn't a ton of air traffic. There's nothing nearby the hotel, there's a bar at the lobby. Is not too far of a drive to portland, so that's not too bad. Everything else is average - cleanliness, amenities, etc....

This property is typical of a well-run Hilton Garden Inn. After a long drive we were happy to relax in the clean, comfortable indoor pool and hot tub. The next morning our breakfast (not included in the room rate) was very good with an attentive waitress. We did not notice any noise issues with aircraft although the property is on the airport property. We stayed here because the rate was half that of any downtown Portland properties and you can drive to the downtown area in about 10 minutes.... Read more

I chose this hotel due to its close location to the Portland Airport and an early flight home. The hotel is so close I was able to walk back to the hotel after returning my rental car. The hotel is clean and the staff are very nice. I had dinner at the hotel which was good, but a little costly for a salad. They have a shuttle that runs 24/7 which is a nice convenience. I suppose that "bargain" is a relative notion, but this place could only be called one by contrast to the other, absurdly more expensive, motels that were available in the area. Our room was fine, but nothing distinctive, and not any different from decent motels that one encounters elsewhere. You'd think that for nearly $200 per night breakfast would be included, but no, that ran an addition $11.95 per person. And in an age when "going green" has become pretty much the norm, it was disappoint... Read more

We live 2 hours from this hotel and chose it because it is so close to the airport you could walk it if you didn't have luggage, and the van service is on-demand instead of at set times, such as hourly. We had a 7 AM flight out which would have meant taking a 5:15 AM scheduled van from the Choice Hotel, but a van we ordered at 5:55 AM from Garden Inn. Yes, I care that much about my morning sleep to pay $30+ extra for 40 more mins of it. We left our car for 3 days as part of a Stay 'n Park pac... Read more

Stayed here overnight to be close to airport and catch an early flight. Location is great and super close to PWM. Even though you are so close to the airport, the noise was not bothersome. Hotel is fine and they do have a bar and kitchen which is open from 5-10pm. It was nice to grab a beer to relax. Selection was decent and price for it was moderate. They also offer a breakfast, but we had to catch a 6am flight so we did not get the benefit of this. My only drawback was the bed. It was sup... Read more

trying to call the shuttle was frustrating as the phone would ring and pick up but then would loop around to the front desk. It did that about 3 times so I called from another board at the airport and had the same issue. Called from cell phone when I was finally able to get thru. I mentioned this to the front desk person on 10-7-2016 but she was unfazed.... which she was when I complained to her about the empty pantry when we returned on the 13th. (oh and the mislabeled frozen bars). The lobb... Read more

We stayed overnight while waiting to pick up friends flying in the next day. With the airport right next door, it is a convenient location and the 12 noon checkout helped quite a bit. Courteous staff and a quality room made this place a good choice. While we did not purchase a full breakfast, it sure looked good.

Stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much - being so close to the airport I was afraid our room would be noisy but nope! quiet as a mouse and didn't hear any airplane noise. Pool is fun and hot tub is very relaxing. Breakfast is much better than the standard hotel fare - they make your eggs to order and the rest is buffet - a nice change. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, clean and neat. It was an easy shuttle from the airport. Later we took the shuttle to a restaurant that the hotel recommended. Great recommendation. This is a good staff, very helpful. I would stay here again.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here last Saturday night in preparation for a flight home on Sunday morning. Our room was large and well appointed. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. It was a cold rainy evening so we ate at the hotel restaurant. The food was good. Much better than expected. Our only issue was that the bed had some type of memory foam mattress that was made us too hot.

We were really impressed with this hotel. The accommodations are good - typical - but very clean, comfortable and quiet. The lobby bar was great - friendly staff - and the dinner food coming out of the kitchen looked great - we almost cancelled our dinner plan to stay in. Breakfast was really delicious - made to order omelets that were perfectly cooked and, as ordered, full of fresh veggies. The bacon was yummy too. The staff - from check-in, lobby bar, restaurant to check-out - were help... Read more

Great location but the rooms have absolutely no insulation between the rooms. We could hear every word the next door neighbors said. We had to call several times to get someone to come. The security person was on break and no one else was available. Even after they came, the people in the next room were still extremely loud and we could hear them very late.

The Hilton Garden Inn at Portland Airport is a very nice place. Clean, friendly, professional, and a great place for a morning or evening meal. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Soft beds and a great shower. We stayed a night after landing at the Portland Airport, before driving to Bangor the next day. On the return trip we spent another night there so we could catch a plane back to California on our last night in Maine. The hotel is only a few minutes from the airport. So there is no way to ... We stayed one night here prior to an early morning flight home. The hotel is within a short walking distance from the airport, but they also provide shuttle service too. We found the hotel to be quite nice, Clean comfortable & quiet rooms with very friendly and helpful staff. It's also a short drive to downtown if you want to explore the waterfront shops & restaurants. We would easily return here.

This hotel is not inside the airport terminal which I was surprised. There is a shortage of parking, some cars park on the grass. Great atmosphere when you walk in and GREAT BREAKFAST(not complimentary ). Outlet in my bathroom didn't work and bathroom shower had a kinda squeaky floor. 16 min from downtown Portland, 7 mins to Maine mall

Very clean, check in was easy, breakfast was excellent. Room is basic and very comfortable, though it is near airport, we don't hear any noise and just 15mins drive to downtown. Price is great and we will definitely love to stay here again!

You don't get any closer to this airport!! Enjoyed the hot tub pool was a little cold for a November night! Didn't get to spend much time there but everything was nice. We found small papers under the curtain which tells me it wasn't cleaned appropriately but otherwise good.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Veterans Day weekend as a weekend getaway to Portland. We frequent Portland a few times a year, and this was the first time we stayed at this hotel. We booked it online and got the most incredible deal for 2 nights- very affordable. Hotel is very clean and has some nice modern touches in the lobby. Room was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Only downfall of the weekend was not having our room serviced after we asked the fro... Read more
