The hotel is conveniently located being next to the international airport and close the the Portland attractions. The hotel rooms (3) were clean and comfortable. The 5:30PM Manager's Special was indeed special. Breakfast was great as was the pool, jacuzzi, and fitness center. And the staff was professional, friendly, and informative. We were particularly impressed with Eevee, a wonderful aid to our vacation plans.

Spotless -- that's the first thing I look for when I check into my room. And, it was! Friend staff. I expect that and the Portland Embassy Suites delivers. Manager's reception was over the top -- along with the typical snacks (cheese, crackers, etc), the chef prepared fiddlehead ferns (a seasonal, local specialty in New England). Bartender Chris is a foodie and had awesome recommendations for local and state-wide dining. He's the hotel's greatest asset!

We found this hotel to be very accommodating to all of our needs. Everyone was courteous and helpful which made for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was great, plenty of variety. I would recommend finding another place for dinner, as the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Loved the jacuzzi, had fun exploring Old Port! Overall a nice place to stay.

We stayed here for a couple of days in early June and one day in the middle of June 2016. The premises are well-kept. There are complementary Wall Street Journals and USA Todays in the lobby. Every night from 530 to 7:30 PM, there is a complementary snack bar with veggies and dip and pretzels and fruit and sometimes a dessert item white chocolate pretzels. You also get a complimentary drink (Cabernet or Chardonnay or a soda) at the bar. In the morning you get the classic Embassy suites full hot... Read more

Older property but well maintained and clean. Nice suites with good working space. Got a suite on the premium floor due to Diamond status. Snacks and refreshments in my suite -- unexpected treat. Nice variety of Keurig coffees and teas in my room. Good breakfast choices in the morning. Not extensive but adequate snacks during the manager's reception, and Chris at the bar is very nice. Last night there was live music that was also unexpected and good!

You will see that my previous reviews of this hotel have been positive. This time was a different story. I booked this hotel, for two different nights on a recent trip to Maine. One was on points and the other was a 'normal' booking. I noticed that I had accidentally booked the points night for a smoking room so I send two emails, one to the manager and another to the person who responds to these comments on TripAdvisor. We stayed for two nights around the 4th of July. The first room they gave us had a cigarette smell, so we went back down and asked for a different room. They gave us another room with apologies and no hassle. The best thing about the hotel of course was the made-to-order omelets at breakfast. Nice clean hotel with spacious rooms. Larry and Carl were outstanding! Very good hot breakfast and free happy hour. Only drawback was the location. There is nothing around this hotel within walking distance except the airport. The noise was not an issue, but it left us with only the cafe as an eating option and the bar didn't open until 5:30.

This Embassy Suites is not worthy of Hilton name. Furniture is worn and has torn upholstery. Windows and artwork haven't seen Windex in way too long. One broken lamp. Five inch tear in dining area shade. Mold and mildew around tub. Veneer peeling from furnishings. Don't even get me started on the crusty brown gunk in the remote. Dropped crumbs on Monday still there on Thursday.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Portland NH. We hadn't stayed at one before this trip. The hotel had live entertainment, a restaurant that served till 10pm , great work out and pool facilities for our use. In fairness we were here for only one night, but I am sure we would have quickly tired of this hotel had we stayed longer. The suites are very small. Two adults and a teenager have very little room to move around. But it is the breakfast area that is really the problem. The facility is near the airport and about 10 min from the downtown area. The staff is friendly and helpful. The building is old, and the rooms and furnitures really need updating. My room had that old carpet smell which was unpleasant. Free hot breakfast buffet with a omelette station. I didn't see anyone who helped luggage and etc. Overall, not the worst but certainly not the best either.

I was s but embarrassed that I had booked an airport hotel for my friend's birthday weekend getaway. I cannot say enough about the staff and accommodations at this hotel. The lobby was warm and inviting. The evening reception and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. But most of all the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodat... Read more

Just came back from a 2 night stay at this fantastic hotel. Everything was great. All the staff were extremely helpful, especially with ideas for dinners and what to see and do. Included in the price was a great nightly reception which included cheese and crackers, veggies and dip and other finger foods, plus drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Also the best hotel breakfast ever with everything being freshly made on site as well as a made-to order omelet station. Although it was not right ... Read more

This hotel has ample room for the spouse who can't sleep through the night (TV in outer room, with a bedroom that is almost sound-proof), or kids so parents can sleep in comfort. Staff is fantastic, location close to the things we needed, book and enjoy. Nice Happy Hour (free) and plentiful choices at breakfast bar.

Stayed overnight, close to airport. Evening drinks was nice and breakfast was excellent with an omelet cook. Did not get to try sauna, pool or fitness though I walked through and all were clean and neat.

A wonderful place to stay while in the Portland area. Good value, nice people, great room. Right off the highway with easy access to the whole area, or to the airport. Great breakfast and managers reception.

Nice suites with microwave, fridge, & absolutely FABULOUS made-to-order breakfast every day. Even though this hotel is located next to the airport, you cannot hear the planes! It's super insulated & blissfully immune from jet noise. Beds are super clean & comfortable. Pool & hot tub are perfect temperatures & great way to unwind each evening. Staff is friendly, warm, & quick to respond to any concern. What a great getaway for a beautiful fall in Maine. Highly recommended if you want a reasonably... Read more

The hotel is all that you would expect from an airport hotel: No frills, close to the airport, neat and clean with a fair price. BUT, the free breakfast with made to order eggs - no powdered eggs thank God -and the super friendly staff place it above the competition. Well done!

This hotel was a bit further out from downtown Portland but SO worth staying here. All suite rooms with wonderful premium floor with many free snacks and drinks. Have a great "happy hour" with free alcoholic beverages and snacks. Awesome breakfast with cooked to order Omelet station. Beds comfortable. Staff go out of their way to make your stay the best. This is rare now days and we very much appreciated it. Hotel is very quiet considering its near a major airport. Ample parking and ... Read more

The hotel was very clean and the staff accommodating and very friendly. The "suite" was small and not at all spacious but we weren't planning on spending a lot of time in the room so it really didn't matter. The beds were very comfortable and the room clean. The sofa couch was "tired" looking but did not interfere with its use. The bathroom was very, very small which made me and the roommates feel claustaphobic. Manager's reception was awesome as well as the on site restaurant and staff. ... Read more

The language on the website mentions a $50 pet 'deposit'. But, actually it's a non-refundable 'fee'. So go ahead and get your $50 worth - let fido make a mess. You will not be rewarded for leaving the room in great condition - the $50 is a NON REFUNDABLE FEE. Don't be fooled.

We were only here one night ... but if we were to return, I would definitely spend more than one night here! Staff was great ... food was great ... room was great! They had a killer free breakfast. They have a guy set up to make omelets! You add what you want in them. I'm gluten free and usually a breakfast is waffles, bagels, muffins ... etc. Never anything gluten free. I had choices! Thanks!

We always enjoy our visit to the Portland, ME Embassy Suites. The staff is always helpful and the managers reception and free breakfast are always great. If you get a chance say hi to Chris at the bar. He can always suggest a place to visit or something to do in the area and you will not be dissappointed. We are looking forward to our next visit to this property!

The time it took for our shuttle driver to get to the hotel was so quick we barely got settled into the seats. The hotel lobby was welcoming with a nice glass-pane waterfall and vaulted ceiling. The counter staff were helpful, The suite-room was fresh and offered a variety of lighting options. The tub/shower unit was clean and had ample water flow. The beds were comfortable. The pool was clean and well kept. The breakfast was wonderful (like all Embassy Suites I have stayed in before). Th... Read more

This was your average, run of the mill airport hotel. There was nothing exciting to share but conversely, there was nothing negative to share. Happy hour was silly...serving only domestic beers (bud light) in a town known for their incredible bar scene. Their continental breakfast was good...wasn't great...wasn't bad. If you're traveling to Portland to experience everything there is to offer on the waterfront, then stay somewhere else. This was a good 15 minute drive from all the action ... Read more

The was an excellent hotel. The hotel is clean, convenient to airport, clean, nicely furnished, with a great breakfast. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. For people wishing to see Portland, the hotel is not downtown, but at the airport so you need transportation into town, but the downtown area is only a 10-15 minute drive.

The restaurant is one of the best in hotel restaurants I have eaten in. I would go to that restaurant even if I was not staying in the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. I liked the layout. Not your typical Embassy suite layout two rooms were side by side adjoined by the bath, instead of the front to back you find at an atrium style Embassy. Thanks for an outstanding stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights as I was in Maine for a job interview. The hotel seems very business-oriented but it had everything you could need or want, really. I enjoyed the pool, and although the hot tub was more luke-warm the first night, maintenance had it fixed for the second night. I would recommend they install an elevator that takes you from the pool to the rooms, however; you have to go through the lobby in your swim suit (or carry a change of clothes downstairs). Breakfast was decent. ... Read more

My husband, daughter, and I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Portland for 1 night recently while hanging out in Portland. It is such a nice modern hotel. Im not sure how old the hotel is but everything looks very new and modern. the main entrance area is very well decorated and kind of fancy looking. Our room was really nice, everything was very clean and modern and in working order. I would definitely stay here again if we ever stayed in Portland again.

We continuously stay at this property due to the value and the service on all levels. The staff makes the experience- hands down, Eevee was fantastic and friendly at checkin, Maxx flipped omelets each morning with a smile and a joke, Joanne poured drinks during the reception with great conversation and we had a quick but positive and genuine encounter with Jess of the housekeeping team. Thanks for another flawless stay with added benefits!

The staff is by far the friendliest and most professional we have encountered. The complimentary breakfast was like no other, there was a wonderful chef who made omelets to order. He not only made delicious omelets, he carried on pleasant conversation with patrons as he handed me the plate he said since I was from Texas he made a small smiley face with Siracha sauce on the side of the plate. The coffee was good and strong, the fruit fresh, all offerings good. The Suites are spacious, the shower ... Read more
