I stayed at the Hampton to attend a meeting there ( the meeting was actually at another property) and everything was outstanding. As a regular to the Hampton brand, the experience was a bit above the average because of the location. Just a few minutes drive to the top of Cadillac mountain and one of the best views in the Eastern US. The staff at the hotel were relaxed and diligent at the same time- no small feat to accomplish. You'll have to go someplace really special to beat the location and... Read more

Only stayed one night, but, as a beautiful property situated on a hilltop that offers dramatic views of the harbor on one side and the mountains on the other, it beat my expectations for Hampton Inns in almost every category. The breakfast was what one expects to have at a Hampton Inn; however, new in 2015, the eating area and everything else related to the layout, design and space of the property Is much nicer than I have seen at any other Hampton Inn. Beautiful hotel hidden off the major road so it is nice and quiet. Spacious rooms, wonderful views, great breakfast spread, convenient lobby computers and for families with small children they have an adorable play area. Just a few minutes from downtown shopping and restaurants. We visited last year as a family and this year for business. Great hotel all around!

So we just got home from a 4 day visit @ Hampton Inn. I did like that the hotel was new, which meant it was clean. I was not impressed with how noisy it was(very thin walls and floors). I did like the hotel, but I think my next visit to Bar Harbor will definitely be at a water front hotel and not just a water view hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights after a week in Chicago. Flew into Bangor late evening so didn't get to Bar Harbour until well past midnight on a wet and windy night. As soon as we got into reception the long journey was forgotten as we were immediately welcomed by reception and directed to free tea, coffee and cookies. We spent six nights at the Bar Harbor Hampton last week and it was a delightful stay. The rooms are spacious and bright and the staff is absolutely wonderful - probably the best staff I've encountered at a Hampton Inn. Our room had views of the bay from both windows. The hotel room was super clean and even the bedding had been laundered. The bathroom, specifically the shower, was the cleanest I have EVER seen and my husband and I travel quite a bit. There were plenty of places to plug in electronic devices. Clearly the rooms have been well thought out and planned. The hotel lobby and common breakfast area were clean, well light and inviting. Beautiful area in Acadia National Park but we didn't have time to explore. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. Parking was jammed. Breakfast was insane given all the people and kids. Would likely pay to eat elsewhere. Will go back for sure.

We stayed for a week while visiting Acadia National Park. The hotel is very clean, almost new. We liked its location, isolated from the crowd in Bar Harbor, yet close enough to the city center or the park. The free bus stops right in front of the hotel and takes you to downtown Bar Harbor. The complimentary breakfast is pretty good. The kids also loved the cookies they had available in the lobby ever afternoon. Very happy with our stay at Hampton.

While the hotel is new with crisp and bright decor, I think the cost per night was too high given the location. I choose to stay at Hampton Inns based on the price to value ratio and in this case I did not think the cost was warranted. In addition most Hampton Inns have a more significant front lobby/lounge area which is missing in this hotel.

Checked in by friendly staff and can't pass up the warm cookies most Hamptons have. The room, mountain view, yes you could see Acadia Park. Layou of the room placed the tv on the side wall in the middle, watching from bed not really practical for two. We weren't there to watch tv but layout could be better, thus was a king bed room. Now the lights... Read more

Hotel was beautiful and new. It is only opened 6 months. They close for the winter and open late spring. The rooms were clean, staff very polite and accommodating. The shower heads had nice pressure. I would definitely come back again

Loved the Hampton in Bar Harbor, Maine. Excellent location, new/clean rooms with great ocean and mountain views. Best hotel I've stayed in the last 5 years. Being a newer hotel makes a big difference. Beds were excellent - large room with large bathroom. Loved it! Highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms were in short supply when we planned our late-season vacation to Bar Harbor, so we "settled" for a Hampton Inn, which is our go-to choice for business travel. This is a brand new property on a mountain ridge west of town, with easy access to Acadia NP. Our room was "mountain-view," slightly less expensive than harbor-side, but we still had a lovely view of the woods and the water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they provided information about the shuttle running into tow... Read more

Great Location. The folks at the Hampton Inn were so nice. The front desk gave great handouts from restaurants to hiking trails. The Island Explorer Bus stops at the Hampton Inn which makes it so easy to get around Bar Harbor. We took the bus to Hulls Cove Visitor Center in Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. We got an early start to go hiking each morning and it was great just to go downstairs to get breakfast instead of having to go into town. The hotel is new and clean.

The Hampton Inn, Bar Harbor, is on a beautiful piece of property, very close to the Ocean, you can choose a room with ocean view, minutes away from Acadia National Park. Our room was exceptionally clean and very quiet, the beds were very comfortable. The people running the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We choose Hampton Inn because we are never disappointed!

When we drove up that hill and saw this Hotel we definitely were in awe. The hotel itself had only been open for four months so it still had the newness odor. The front desk employees were so kind and sweet and gave us maps and tourist places to visit. As everyone has already noted it was very close to Acadia Pk, and we had a view of Cadillac Mountain from our room...
