The location of the hotel is convenient, right off the interstate and near places to eat. The hallways smell of mildew... very odd and over powering. We got back from dinner late and we were exhausted. I moved a pillow and found a pen cover under the pillow. I thought it was odd but figured the housekeeper just dropped it. No big deal. Then I pulled back the covers and found crumbs. For real... CRUMBS! At this point I didn't feel good about tracing back through the mildew smelling hallwa... Read more

The hotel has been updated, lobby area is modern and clean. The hallways are a little dated, but clean enough. Rooms are decent for the price. My kids enjoyed the pool and we liked that there was a restaurant/bar right in the hotel. Our room was nice & quiet even though we were on the 2nd floor and people above us. Bathrooms could use a little more updating, but they were clean. For under $100, this hotel has a lot to offer. It's not the Ritz, but I felt like it was better than expected a... Read more

Nice lobby that has recently been renovated and the rooms were okay - nothing extraordinary. Small bathrooms. There is an outside courtyard that looked like it would be nice when open but it wasn't even in mid-May. In this day and age, I am really offended by places that charge for breakfast. Here you could do the buffet for $11 and for that price and a family of six you might as well go out. One nice thing is that it is literally 25 feet away from a Dunkin Donuts so that was convenient for... Read more

Stayed here with friends on an unexpectedly busy night on Bangor due to graduation. The staff was helpful in suggesting an alternative to the restaurant we originally planned to go to but arrived too late to make it. The shuttle was available quickly and took us to Kobe Ninja House near Bangor Mall. It took a bit for the return shuttle due to an airport run but we amused ourselves at the bar of the restaurant. The back entrance and elevator were the major things that let us know this was an ... Read more

After trying some of the other hotels in the area and not being pleased I gave the Holiday Inn a try. I'm glad I did and this is where I will be staying on my work trips to Bangor. The front desk staff quickly found my reservation, had already printed my paperwork and door key, and for being a rewards member they gave me a snack bag with a bottle of water. This hotel is a great value for the money.

I booked this online before leaving Minnesota. I prefer to stay in the Holiday Inn family and was hoping that there was a HI Express we could stay in. This was the best I could do for the location. We wanted to explore a bit of Maine and then needed to head to Quebec to take a cruise. We spent two nights here. They were still renovating the place and we had to enter via a side door, but that was pretty much the only big issue we had with the place. The place is big and fortunately has a res... Read more

Holiday Inn - Bangor was a great place to stay. There were four traveling in our group ranging in ages from 25 to 78. I had reserved two rooms for one night. Upon arrival, they had reserved adjoining rooms for us which was very convenient. They had a full-service breakfast, and the service was great. We were signed up for the Stephen King Tour the next morning (0900-1230), and the tour van was picking us up at the hotel. The staff gave us a late checkout at 2 pm so we didn??t have to worry ab... Being from the West coast, we are very turned around here, so do a lot of re-dos trying to find certain places, but the hotel is right off of I-95 right next to Dunkin Donuts. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, our room had micro and fridge in it and was nice.

Staff is friendly. However, the property seems somewhat weathered. Many areas are way past due for replacement. Room close to the dirty side. There is a small decent typical hotel fitness center to utilize, however, they do provide passes to the large full service gym next door at no charge. Location is decent to surrounding places of interest.

We stayed in Bangor to see a concert at the Darling Waterfront and the hotel was close by, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. The hotel offered a shuttle every 10 or 15 minutes to the waterfront, and also picked us up fairly close to the venue which was awesome. I used to stay here when I was younger. It wasn't bad then. I came to town because my mom was sick. When we got to the hotel although I had a reservation they said the room they had only had 1 bed. It was supposed to be 2. I slept with my daughter and my mom had to sleep in a cot. The cot was HORRIBLE!!! It hurt her back. Even though it was just a one night stay on our way to Bar Harbor, we found this Holiday Inn to be very nice. It's easy to find off of I-95. It's one of the older Holiday Inns built around a central courtyard but it's been completely updated. Furnishings are all very up to date. The grounds have been professionally landscaped and they are beautiful. Front desk staff was knowledgeable and helpful. You won't be disappointed here.

The Holiday Inn Bangor was a beautiful hotel. The lobby was very modern and well fitted. The rooms wer very spacious and welcoming. One problem, our shower head was leaking water and getting into the floor, flooding the floor. The flooring in the bathroom is also very slippery. The breakfast was very good. I enjoyed the waffles and potato pieces. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an affordable stay, going to Bar Harbor or going fishing.

This was a very short stay for us arriving at midnight and checking out again at 7am. It was just about a place to sleep for us. They have done a great job freshening up the common areas but the rooms need much more effort. The carpets were worn and dirty and the bathroom fixtures were rusted and broken. It was a low cost room and you get what you pay for. Hopefully they will continue the upgrades into the guest rooms. The front desk staff were very pleasant at check in.
