Just a quick stay but the room was clean, bed comfortable, and breakfast was solid. Front desk staff was new, but they were friendly and very willing to help. Liked the comfy chair in the room and coffee was a step above most hotel offerings.

Front desk staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The room was very clean with all the amenities one would need for an overnight stay. We appreciated the happy hour snack and yummy cookies after dinner. The beds and pillows( I am very fussy about my pillows) were very comfortable. The property is quiet and conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, etc. Excellent breakfast for a hotel chain. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here on a recent trip to Bangor because we had stayed here previously and found it to be very good, clean and centrally located. This time, we were very disappointed. When we travel to the USA from Canada we like to pay cash for everything instead of putting it on our credit card. This is to do with the exchange rates charged by our Canadian bank. We have an American $ account we save USD for trips so we don't have to pay high exchange rates. We always reserve with a credit card but tel... Read more

This past weekend, we wanted a quiet night away to spend time shopping leisurely. We always head to the fancy names with pools, but this was a no frills night. However the surprise was on us. This hotel hidden behind Toys R Us was WONDERFUL. We were greeted upon arrival and even checkout. Our room was on a top floor and extremely quiet. The beds were so comfortable, I could have spent forever! Continental breakfast was included, unlike MANY of the other Bangor hotels. It was....simply put... Read more

We stayed here upon our arrival in Bangor while heading towards Bar Harbor. It was a great hotel and seems to be well kept from what we saw. The hotel actually offers some snacks throughout the day including some cheese and crackers in the afternoon, as well as cookies in the evening! Luckily we made it in time to have some cookies. This hotel is right off the highway, so finding the location is not an issue. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast selection was very adequate. We only staye... Read more

We overnighted here on the way to New Brunswick, Canada. The lobby was clean and quiet and the desk clerk was pleasant and gave us helpful suggestions about local restaurants. He invited us to visit the breakfast bar that evening for warm cookies and milk. Our room was immaculate and looked like it had been recently updated. In fact, the entire facility looked like it was aggressively well-kept. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was remarkably quiet. The free breakfast was good and ple... Read more

This is a comfortable and clean Hotel. Staff, especially Trevor, were very helpful at check-in. Breakfast consists of eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereal, fruit, pastries. Even though it is close to the airport it is quiet. It appears that this hotel has been updated recently.

Loved this hotel - great price, free wifi, free milk and cookies at 7pm, free coffee, free parking....comfy beds, clean rooms, great staff. Just loved it here!! Free breakfast was delicious and hotel is close to the mall where you can pick up groceries or go out to eat. Location is fabulous if you are road-tripping.

When I arrived at this fine property, I was road weary from riding the Harley all day. The staff recognized this quickly, and facilitated in getting me checked into a clean, comfortable room. I was given all the discounts I was entitled to without question. I was served cold Lemon water to help me recover, and then offered a snack of cookies and milk. I truly felt welcomed!

While this spot is not in the greatest of areas, it can boast a clean very comfortable bed and soft pillows. The decor is current. The water pressure is good. The breakfast a couple of steps up from what you expect at these chains. There are restaurant around ; a Mexican one,is right next door. But the area is not pedestrian friendly at all.

We stopped in Bangor as we traveled home and we were lucky to find this hotel. It was inexpensive, offered a ASA discount, and included breakfast. There were freshly baked cookies and fruit which welcomed us, along with the front desk staff. The room was large and had a table, coffeemaker, microwave and mini fridge. It was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of space in the breakfast dining room and many choices for the included breakfast, including Greek yogurt and Kashi products. The hot... Read more

If you're visiting Bangor for business or vacation, the Comfort Inn at the Bangor Mall is a terrific place to stay. It's right off I-95 (turn at second light, otherwise you're back on I-95!) you can walk to the Mall and restaurants, personnel are friendly, knowledgeable, extremely helpful. The parking is easy, our king bedroom was spacious w/ a large bathroom, all sorts of plugs for electronics and plenty of pristine towels! On our way from NY to Prince Edward Island Canada we wished to visit Acadia national park. As we came from St. Johnsbury VT and i drove a while we decided to find a place to stay around Bangor Maine for two nights . we saw on the I pad that out of town on the opposite side from where we came from there are a few hotels one near the other. we tried Hampton Inn but there were no vacancy. the people on the reception were very kind and made 2 calls for us and told us that on the comfort inn there is... The hotel was as clean and well maintained as others have posted. The staff is exceptional. Even the cleaning crew are very friendly. One of the crew rode down in the elevator with me and asked if we were enjoying our stay. I sensed he really was interested and cared that we had a good stay. The only problem is that the breakfast is very good and finding a table for a family may require a wait during the peak of breakfast rush. So far it's the best moderately-priced (breakfast included) hotel I'... Read more

Stayed on a stopover between Halifax and Albany. Room was quickly changed when first one had a toilet that was running and wouldn't shut off. Desk was very helpful advising me of the location of a post office drop box with a very late pickup for a letter that had to go out ASAP. Appreciated that room had both a microwave and refrigerator with a freezer. Free light snacks available in the evening. Above all the breakfast was better than at most Comfort Inns, with fresh biscuits and muffins and f... Read more

This place felt super upscale, like a hilton. The halls and entry were blah and plain but the room was deluxe! Super clean, great sheets and covers and pillows, nice bed, lots of handy outlets, bathroom was shiny and clean and inviting. Not much water flow and the tub was crazy slippery but I find if I put a hand towel down on the tub floor it stops my feet feeling like they're going to slide out from under me. I was very very happy here. SO much comfortable room for the money. And the room was ... Read more

Typically Comfort Inns are good, basic hotels that one can rely on for clean and comfortable stays. This hotel offered some great extras: cheese and crackers during 'happy hour', then cookies and milk before bed. The staff was wonderful and enthusiastic. One complaint though. All of the housekeeping carts were lined up and left in the hall. Why??

From the time we entered the reception area we where treated with warm smiles by two young men.. They had us checked into our room in the fastest and quickest time we have ever been served. The extras with this hotel with the cheese and crackers in the afternoon to the morning breakfast was the best ever. Our room was spacious and very clean and it was one of our best stays ever in any hotel.. Kudos to the Comfort Inn in raising the bar in hotel standards

We must have gotten a lemon of a room because I was disappointed in this property. Furniture banged up. The inside of bedroom door has outline and holes from a previous night security chain installation (it wouldn't take that much effort to fill the holes with wood putty and paint over the discolored areas.) Room had a dampness to it. Wrote it off to a damp carpet. Had a stand alone closet that took up too much of the floor area. TV centered in front of one bed making it difficult for person... Read more

Let's start by saying that I am a "Hilton Snob". I usually try to stay at a Hilton property because I know what to expect. On this trip, my first to Bangor, I was encouraged to stay at Comfort Inn because of other people's experiences and the closeness of it to the mall and outlets. Lets just say, I'm glad I experienced it, but probably will look at other hotels my next trip. Upon arrival we were given a room fairly quickly. We had booked on advance purchase a month earlier which I would rec... Read more

This is our first trip to Bangor. The front desk staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. We wanted a nice meal after a long day of air travel, and the recommendation of "High Tide" was perfect. We enjoyed the river view seating, lobster and oysters. Upon our return to the hotel, warm cookies, milk and coffee were available in the lobby. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Overall, we were very impressed

We stayed here on our last day of vacation before heading for home. We had had a long day on the road and the ferry from Nova Scotia, so we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel. We had stayed at a few other Choice Hotels during our vacation and we especially liked the Ascend level (Chateau Saint John and Chateau Bedford). When we first arrived at the Comfort Inn at Bangor, we were immediately struck by how centrally located this hotel is. For example, there is a Starbucks, mall with major retailers, and a very neat bookstore all within a 3-minute drive radius. Further, it is very close to the University of Maine at Orono where we dropped off our son for graduate school. One of the great selling points of this hotel is its complementary breakfast that offers hot food options (eggs and breakfast meat) along with ... Read more

Nothing special, older place. Recent carpeting in hallways. Rooms have updates but alot of wear and tear on the place. Continental breakfast was poor and very minimal. Price was competitive . Check in and check out was very quick. Room was dated, and for a suite the room was small with no special amenities. Something odd was clock radio was next to tv on TV stand where you could not reach it next to your bed.

Love the people in this hotel! We had to get medical care for one of my kids early in the morning. The staff was very understanding and allowed us a late check-out, and then later booked us for a second night on very short notice. The breakfast crew went out of their way help people. The hotel itself is clean and convenient, as well as reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it!

Very good hotel for a stop in Bangor on the way to Canada. We came in on a very late flight which was delayed. We arrived at 2 am. Night staff was very welcoming, suggesting we drink some juice and eat fruit at the breakfast bar. The rest of the bar doesn't open until 6 am but it was refreshing after a grueling trip. Large room, good bed, nice bathroom. Just what we needed. We stopped there again the night before our flight out. Had dinner at UNO's around the mall -- a Chicago pizza chai... Read more
