Stayed here for a weekend in January. Very good location, right off the highway! Comfortable stay and great buffet breakfast. Sort of sad that the pool was closed :( Obviously this hotel is convenient to Augusta and surrounding towns! We used this as our base to go to Sunday River and Sugarloaf to ski. The ride to the mountains were actually breathtaking! Winding roads through the country with no one else in sight. But that's besides the point!! Stay here!

The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. They gave me a suite which was nice and had plenty of room. It is a typical Fairfield, nice but nothing special. The location is less than ideal. Nowhere to walk to except a Chinese buffet. Augusta is an odd city with very little to enjoy. Most restaurants and bars are actually in Hallowell Maine requiring driving or a cab.

After a long day of traveling, we were looking forward to relaxing in our hotel room. The person who greeted us at the front desk was quite pleasant. From there, the visit declined. The room was quite dated, we struggled to get the closet door open, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We woke up the following morning with very sore backs. We will try someplace else the next time we are in Augusta.

This hotel was recently renovated and met a high standard of comfort and convenience. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. And it is very accessible to I-95. What's not to like! The price was below what one would normally pay for this grade of hotel.

Stayed at this hotel over the course of several days for a business trip. The hotel is fairly new - and looked very well kept up. There is a small indoor swimming pool. The gym is well equipped and even had headphones available for use with the tvs mounted on the equipment. The room is one of the nicest I have been in recently with plenty of counter space in the bathroom, nice looking furniture, and more than adequate lighting. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the s... Read more

Hey, it's a Fairfield Inn...the target market is a nice, clean, reliable, predictable, safe, good quality hotel. This hotel met those expectations for its market segment. The truth is that while it is really not that special, it meets or exceeds the requirements that you have for the reasons that brought you here. Front desk was nice and courteous and the breakfast buffet was very good.

This is a very comfortable, conveniently-located hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. Rooms and all common areas are immaculate. Room was good size and had a mini-fridge, which is a nice convenience. Small gym has ear buds and antiseptic wipes. I didn't have breakfast, but it looked better than average. I would stay here again.

Got a block of rooms for our wedding. Another couple got a block the same nights and they were quoted a lower price so many of our wedding guests used the other couple to get the cheaper room, therefore leaving us with the bill for the suite. No big deal about paying for the suite but when we got there it was FAR from a suite. It was more like a regular size room divided by a wall. It was very strange. We knew there were updates at this hotel but would not stay there again. The front desk manage... Read more

Stayed here for a few nights. Nice clean hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pool and weight room are excellent. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Same thing every morning. Compared to many hotels that offer complementary breakfast this hotel does not have the variety.

Had to look for someone at the front desk at check in. Not so friendly just adequate so unusual for a Marriott related hotel. Our room was well appointed, clean and beds comfortable. The room was missing a microwave which is standard with what we requested. Didn't matter as we were so tired from traveling all day. There was noise in the halls which woke us. Look like medical people at shift change.

This was a perfect hotel about 40 miles from Rockland which I visited for Lobster Fest. It was an hour drive to the high school/middle school that provided the free transportation to the festival. The room was clean as well as the bathroom! It had a fridge, plenty of towels. The hotel also had an area for working out, a pool. The rate was pretty reasonable as well.. If you can get your hands on one of those magazine that lists all the hotels (i found one in the Denny's on my last day) you can p... Read more

Stayed here for a family shopping trip and was very pleased with the hotel. Hotel is very, very quiet which we appreciated with younger kids. The pool is small but never busy. Kids enjoyed it. The breakfast options were pretty small however. Would definitely stay again.

My family stayed 2 nights at this Fairfield Inn in Augusta. We wanted to visit Acadia National Park and knew that it would be an almost 3 hour drive from Augusta. Jarod and Eric at the front desk were extremely helpful in taking the time to show us the best possible route, which was indeed long, but beautiful and worth it. We also recommend visiting the state capitol building which is short drive from this hotel. Our room was generally clean, but when we inspected the beds- linens and mattresses... Read more

Everyone was extremely helpful. Eric at check in was very helpful. Very happy with the room. Clean sheets, clean bathroom and clean room. Was on a one night business stay. I'd definitely stay there again. It's a bit expensive, but from what I was able to research, all of the hotels in the area are expensive. This one was on the low end of the higher than normal prices. Easy on and off the highways, yet quite place to stay. I typically stay at Marriott hotels as a rule, but this one was... Read more

The hotel has been remodeled, and is being well maintained. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was quite helpful in recommending restaurants apropos to our interests. Considering price and amenities this property offers is an excellent hotel/motel option for a visit to Augusta.

When people complain about service, they need to visit the Fairfield Inn in Augusta, ME to find a great place. The assistant on duty when we checked in was friendly and informative. We were upgraded to a mini-suite (Marriott reward members !) which was great since we were going to be here for four days. When we got to our room, another staff member was nearby. As we opened the door, the TV was on and I questioned her as to why. Turns out she is the facility's manager and couldn't be more fr... Read more

We appreciated the upgrade to a small suite (Marriott Gold) which allowed us to spread out a bit. The room was clean, spacious, and up to date. The front desk was very helpful and provided dinner options and directions to a restaurant not on their suggested list. While the breakfast staff was pleasant, there were not many gluten free/low carbohydrate choices.

Been on vacation for 12 days staying at different motels each night. This motel is nicely decorated, current and modern very clean, and friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast was better than any previous that we have encountered. Our room was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The motel is sitting far enough off the road that traffic noise is not an issue. Great stay.

This hotel is fine, but could be much better with a little more management effort. The room facilities are in need of updating in certain areas. For example, all hotel baths/showers should have a safety bar (mandatory in new hotels?) - this one did not - compounded by a slippery bath/shower floor. Next, the bath counter mirror was falling out of its frame, and the frame was coming off the wall. When management was told, they apologized and said renovation of the bathrooms were underway - but had... Read more

Thank you all for a most relaxing night. We did not want to do our trip to Bangor all in one day and chose to break the journey in Augusta on our way home. It was a good choice. Our room was clean (obviously recently redecorated), breakfast was good, internet was accessible (and included in the room rate unlike the more "upscale" Marriotts).
