Nice location, next to river edge. If doing business here, it is good place but away from highway. Do not expect sophistication, You are in Maine,so hotel personnel is on little bit rough side, lacking PR skills. Rooms all right, basic breakfast but excellent cook, doing the best with what he got.Quite busy hotel with sport teams recently.

This is an excellent hotel with exceptional staff in every part of the hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. The full breakfast was delicious! Try the corned beef side dish! The location is by the river with walking/running path, which is steps from the hotel.

Good place to stay if you are visiting Bates College. A TV was left on in the room connected to mine by a guest who left early, keeping me awake. The front desk handled it at 4AM. Some rowdy guests smoking by elevators set off fire alarm and other noisy guests in hallway late night. Probably the best place to stay in the Lewiston- Auburn area. Nice pool, hot tub and gym.

Ever since our oldest enrolled at Bates College we've been staying here. We tried a few others, stayed in Freeport and Portland during admissions process, but for value and location, you can't find a friendlier more professionally run hotel. Staff is welcoming and know the area well. Resturant for breakfast is perfect. Knowing the hotel really makes the cross country trek to Visit that much more enjoyable.

If looking for quiet and rest, river view rooms are best as they are in the back and away from the street noise. Besides the view is much nicer. Hotel is not sound proof. During our stay there was a carnival in town. Its generators were very loud. We had to change our room.

Don't pre-purchase the premium internet. It's a waste of time and money. First of all, not only did they have no idea at the front desk how to deal with it, but they made us call the internet company for the hotel and waste our time getting on to it. Only to be extremely disappointed by the speed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They advertise that they're adjustable. But let me tell you no matter what the bed was adjusted to, it felt as though we were sleeping on a piece of plywood. ... Read more

We stayed here for our anniversary along our three day trip through Maine. I had booked a regular King bed room but requested a room with a view via our Hilton HHonors Gold ranking. They upgraded us to a Queen suite with a view without notice. I wasn't too happy about going down to a Queen but we went up to see the room and what the suite looked like. We are definitely not too picky on rooms but my wife immediately said- "this is a weird room". It was not a big "suite" and the Queen bed was comi... Read more

I stayed at the Hilton Garden in Auburn for a week and had a great time. The entire facility is clean, quiet and nicely laid out. My room has a beautiful river view. In the evening, taking a walk along the river behind the hotel is a truly enjoyable experience. Parking is easy and free. The staffs are extremely friendly and respond to my request quickly. I would definitely stay in this hotel if my travel takes me back to the Auburn/Lewiston area.

I had a great stay as a single women. There was someone always walking the property and as I walk a lot, I felt safe being out and about. I was not happy about the breakfast.. where you got nothing for free, it was $10.95 for how ever many times you order... when your small and don't eat a lot this was a bit ridiculous!

Great place, comfortable and friendly. Not up to Hilton standards on easily affordable details. I ran out of toothpaste and they told me I would have to buy some at their pantry. Really? Included a voucher for 500 Hilton points if you spent $25 at their restaurant then told us it didn't count for breakfast. In parts of Maine, modern hotels are sometimes few and far between. It's nice to find something above a Hampton Inn level property this far away from the "big" cities (Auburn and Lewiston are fairly small, not very prosperous cities). The hotel is fine, but not special. The location, overlooking the Androscoggin River is interesting, and much better than the highway, commercial, or industrial views you usually get from this type of hotel (though it is right next to a mid-rise apartment buildi... I found this hotel to be a pleasant surprise. I've always liked HGIs, but this one stood out. There were a few hotels within walking distance of this one, but this was far superior based on only curb appeal. I would stay at this hotel just for the cliff side view of the river behind the hotel . But, the large rooms and friendly staff make it a winner. I will stay here if I'm anywhere near Auburn. It's worth the drive.
