The lady at the front desk really knew her job, she was excellent. Rooms were very clean. Near the highway, but very quite.Beautiful place to stay, would recommend to anyone. Close to restaurants too.

I was driving from Pesos TX to Birmingham Al. Its ok for a one nighter. The rooms have not been updated in years. The whole hotel including the rooms smelled like curry..... Bathrooms were nice. Carpet in the bedroom had a piece cut out of it and you could see the concrete. If i had to stay here again I wouldn't.

We wanted a place to stay close to my parent's home while visiting over the Easter vacation. We needed a handicap room being that my husband is in a wheelchair. We also travel with a service dog and even though all hotels have to accept service dogs many hotels don't like too! Our room was GREAT...very clean...the very accessible for my husband! The staff was GREAT!! And the price was GREAT!! Very affordable. We will definately stay on our next trip to Cankton, LA!! Highly recommended!

Stayed both ways on trip from AL to TX- and will return. Clean, comfortable, easy off and on to I-10, but very quiet. Brunch was good with biscuits and cream gravy, waffles, bagels, pastries and fresh fruit. Plenty of fresh made, good coffee! WIFI over all w/ good charging outlets in rooms. No problems. Tammy (mgr.), and Tiffany (eves), were a pleasure to deal with. I'll be back!

This property barely got the 3 star rating. Personnel was friendly. Had good TV, but other than that, it was exactly what we wanted at the time. We were stopping in Scott to be with relatives that came in from another direction. So we were in our room very little.

Some appearance and breakfast area was disappointing, but It looks like construction on the first floor. I hope this will improve when finished. My stay was great with customer service.

We travel across country a lot and are often looking for hotels at the last minute. After driving for two days we decided to stop near Lafayette but were a little un easy as to the area. We had a ton of stuff in our car and on the roof. We pulled up to the HOJO and at first thought it was a back woods storage dump. We sat in the parking lot taking it all in. Air conditioners piled to the side, garbage dumpsters full to the brim outside and boxes, boxes everywhere. The price was right and we were... Read more

When construction is done - this could be a good property. There were massive garbage dumpsters all over property, and garbage everywhere. The doors were not secured. There was overt alcoholic drinking in the pool with kids around. The tables by the pool were filthy, chairs were dirty, hallway was cement with no carpet yet. Once you got in the room is was better - as this had been completed. I tried to get a rebate given the circumstances but they said all of those discount rooms were gone. The ... Read more

We stayed here in April for a baseball tournament and were slightly disappointed after reading the reviews. We had late evening games so really just needed a place to crash until the next morning. There are pros and cons so I'll lay them out here for you so you can decide based on your preferences. The pros were the staff.. they were extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was also really good with lots of great/hot choices. The location was safe and close to a fantastic seafood/steakhous... Read more

Clean but had a musty mildew odor. Front staff nice. Only reason we stayed there is because it was pet friendly and in good location.

My only complaint is when my daughter got out the pool she ask the front desk for a few towels to take a shower and they told her they didn't have any, they refused to give my daughter towels she had to wait until after check out and take a shower when we arrived back home. I was very disappointed with the customer service. The tub was stopped up and the shower water did not go out.

Clean and Well Managed Hotel. Tammy at front desk was very accommodating. Breakfast area was a little small. Hotel is in walking distance to great restaurants - don't miss Candy Land across the Street if you have Kids or young adults.

The hotel was more of a motel. The place was old smell like a cigarette butt. This place was more of place where people take hookers. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Sorry

It was a nice place to stay but the only thing is one of the housekeeper Casey was by the pool not acting professional and she was asking guest for liquor and then she went upstairs and slept with a guest bc the guest came back and said how easy she was. Then the guest said i wonder if all the housekeepers are like that.

Booked two rooms at this hotel. One room was fairly clean and in good condition. The other needed cleaning in the bathroom. Looks like the cleaning crew forgot to clean the tub therefore we did not use it. Location is easy to find, right off of I10 but a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot. Ok for a one night stay since we were just passing through. They did have a light breakfast which was ok too. Don't think I would stay again because of the tub issues. But the lady at the front desk ... Read more

Not bad at all for the money. Friendly staff. Our room was clean, bed comfortable. We needed a last minute pit stop and we're just needing a place to sleep for a few hours. Breakfast is small, but it served its purpose. There is a musty odor but we would stay again if needed.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past to give it a try because it is Wyndham related. This time it was not my first choice. I had issues with getting local cable channels on the tv. The tub wouldn't drain (hair clog) the buttons on the AC were busted up and the light came through the window at night.

Booked non smoking room. When I arrived late after working all day and driving for 4 hours was told only room available was smoking. First Staff said there was another room that someone else hadn't turned up for. But when I went to it door didn't open and girl from reception came running up to say someone was in that room. Looked at only room available which smelled of smoke. Corridor outside smelled too. Had to find another hotel. Would only suggest consider staying here if you smoke. Staff don... Read more

I was fortunate in having stayed there during the recent historical flooding of the area. To my surprise, even though I-10 was closed due to the flooding, the Hotel and surrounding area was free of water. I was promptly welcomed by the receptionist immediately upon entering the hotel. She accommodated my personal request in having a room downstairs since I am disabled. I found my room to be very clean and it was obvious to me that the housekeeper pays attention to detail in her cleaning. The ... Read more

I stayed at this HOJO for nearly two weeks since they're pet friendly. The management, desk, and cleaning staff provided excellent service. The breakfast was mediocre, but it's what I expected for the rate. The decor and beds are beginning to show some age. Good value for the money. Clean, comfortable, and a good value.
