Hampton Inn and Suites Baton Rouge Port Allen
2755 Commercial Drive, Port Allen, LA US

Start your visit to the Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge/Port Allen with a short stroll to the West Baton Rouge Tourist Information Center, located next door to our hotel. It's a great place to learn a little about the history of Baton Rouge, the Mississippi River and the Intracoastal Waterway. From there, cross the river into downtown Baton Rouge and soak in the sound of live zydeco music and the flavors of authentic Creole cooking in the lively restaurants and pubs along the waterfront. Tour the medieval-style castle that was once the state capitol building of Louisiana. Before heading over to Tiger Stadium to cheer on the gritty L.S.U. football team, make a stop at historic Nottoway Plantation, the largest plantation home in the south, located just down the road in White Castle. Grab your golf clubs and tee off for a round at either City Park Golf Course or Webb Memorial; both public courses are conveniently located just minutes from our Baton Rouge hotel in Port Allen, where you'll find friends in bayou country.

We were going to pick up our granddaughter from college for the summer and wanted a place close to the campus. It was very clean and nice. Room was rather small but had all the amenities. We were not pleased with the internet service. Other than that, it was very nice.

We live about an hour's drive from Baton Rouge, and at least once a year, we travel to our Capital city for business or pleasure. The Port Allen Hampton is our go-to spot for our over night trips/weekend get aways. It is just off I 10 at the Lobdell exit. This makes it close enough to Baton Rouge, but far enough away from the congestion of the inner city. You can show up at almost anytime of the day and get a room. The staff is courteous, friendly and very helpful. The complimentary breakfa... Read more

I had the luxury to stay at this hotel on May 7th, 2016 checking out on May 11th, 2016 to embark on my journey to Miami for a few days before heading back home. I found this hotel to be REMARKABLE! It was clean, safe and the staff was EXTREMELY friendly, unlike my encounter at the Holiday Inn in Miami on Le Juene, where I encountered the MOST RUDE housekeeper ever. I can definitely see myself and my family coming back to this hotel on my next travel to Texas. It was amazing!!!

Booked this due to it's close proximity to my client. Was a bit apprehensive when I saw a line of semis parked across from the entrance and realized my room was on that side of the hotel, but was pleasantly surprised that I heard nothing - including the drivers leaving in the early mornings without disturbing anyone. The room was comfortable and clean and met my expectations. I did walk the property would say that the pool is one of the smallest I have ever seen. If you want to swim laps f... Read more

Great hotel in the better part of a crappy town. A minute off the interstate. Typical Hampton breakfast. Fitness room had treadmills, elliptical AND free weights. Probably the best fitness room in a Hampton I've seen. And noting was broken.

Hampton Inn is always my first choice when I travel to different locations in the states. Each time my experience are well satisfied. It's very quiet and clean room. I like this brand and I'd like to recommend to my friends.

Rarely do you find a bad Hampton Inn. Some are better than others but all generally are good. No exception here. Supplies all you have come to expect. Breakfast is provided and it has enough variety to please all in the family. Clean room, minimal noise. Recommended.

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in this area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's closeness to Baton Rouge is helpful. Great eating and dining places in Baton Rouge, we always try to eat at Mike Anderson's when in town. The hotel is kept up, both inside and exterior are always clean, Just a great hotel.

Good value and a clean hotel. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of warm, cold and dry options for our morning meal as we prepared for the rest of our trip. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

Exceeded expectations, Was met by the staff in a friendly and helpful manner - was given a room as requested without any problems. The room was clean and neat and adequately equipped. The breakfast was a standard variety and was satisfactory. Overall a good good value. Not in Baton Rouge, but close enough and probably better for the pric.

First room had mites in bed. moved to another room and at 9:30 PM new guest were issued keys to our room and attempted to enter. it took 3 trips to the front desk to get a workable room key. The sheets were dirty and had a red stain on them. My family and I would not stay at this location in the future. the comforters were worn and frayed on the ends. felt like something was crawling on me.

I've stayed at this property several times. The staff is very friendly and the hotel has all the fine amenities you'd expect from a Hampton Inn- clean, spacious rooms; business center; 24 hour coffee; free breakfast; spacious lobby area. Some rooms have adjoining doors with a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom. If you are unfortunate enough to have one of these rooms, the folks next door can hear every word. If you are an affectionate couple who plans to vodeo-do-do in your room and you have an adjoinin... Read more

The room was good the bed was comfortable. However we did have problems with the TV and lack of hot water in the room. The TV was fixed after to calls to the front desk. The hot water did get fixed but after we had taken luke warm showers. The staff at the desk were friendly. They had a continental breakfast but we did not eat it as our granddaughter wanted Waffle House which is just around the corner.

The only complaint I have about this location is the ants around the trash cans outdoors. Room was clean and as described, breakfast was standard (and employees were helpful). It didn't feel like the safest part of town, but we had no problems. Location was convenient to restaurants in Baton Rouge.

Pros: Clean room, friendly staff and reasonably priced for the area. Gray area: Breakfast is free, but is very bland. Powdered eggs etc. Cons: The management allowed a party to go on until after midnight in front of the entrance with loud people and alcohol. Not a very appealing atmosphere or wise hospitality decision. Also, when I arrived there was an altercation going on between the manager and a customer because the customer felt the manager had been disrespectful to his wife. Base... Read more

Our Family Reunion host hotel was the Hampton Inn & Suites in Port Allen and every detail was handled with care.. Mr. Ron Cooper was instrumental in handling all of our needs and had everything set up on time‚?¶ The rooms were clean and the bed was firm which I loved. I would like to thank the entire staff for handling my whole family including my 88 year old Mother, brother, cousins and Aunts with kid gloves and your hotel gets the white gloves‚?¶AWESOME Stay and will be back!!!

We were in Baton Rouge for business and this was the only Hilton property with an available room due to recent flooding. Turned out, this was a great place to stay (except for having to cross the bridge every time we went into town). The staff was helpful and friendly. The room staff did a great job cleaning! Good location for me. The price was drive up to $193 due to the LSU Football Game, but that is understandable. I would not pay that high of a price for this hotel, under normal conditions. The bath tub was slippery and I can see someone slipping and falling if they are not careful. The breakfast was OK, but not as much variety as I am use to with Hampton Inn.

Excellent service, great attitudes and a helpful staff. I was really impressed with my stay at the Hampton. Check in process was flawless and the food at the breakfast bar was plentiful and of excellent quality. Considering my stay was during the LSU-Alabama game makes this hotel even more of a prized. I have stayed at Hampton Inn hotels numerous times and always had a great experience, not this one though.. We arrived at the hotel around 2pm on Friday, check in was quick, and that was the only positive..
