My husband and I are staying here for one night on my way to New Orleans. We arrived at almost 11pm, exhausted from a 9 hour drive. If I wasn't so exhausted, I would probably have left for a different option. For $100/night, I expected a lot more. In my opinion, it's maybe worth half. It seems to be a rundown motel thst was very minimally updated and got a new name. I'm shocked the brand people at Wyndham allow their name to be on this establishment. The woman at check-in was not friendly by a... Read more

At checkin the girl didn't seem to be happy and inconvienced for us to be at the counter. Was in room 329. Patch job on the wall different colors. Curtains partly broke off. Carpet stained and discolored. Small tv. Walls were paper thin and could hear everyone in the hotel. Including the group of bikers that rolled through at midnight. I usually don't complain and a lot of these small things don't bother me but for the price I could have went farther down the road for a better rate and better q... Read more

Friendly staff, everyone who worked there was friendly and offered assistance. They even had bell boy carts for customer use, something you don't find in many hotels anymore. Room was clean and there were no odors anywhere in the hotel. Definitely would stay here again.

Once again I had an excellent stay. Have family in the area and I always stay at the Microtel in Pearl River. It can be difficult to find a nice place to stay when staying in small town Louisiana, but the Microtel is a life saver. Never had a problem of any kind. Plus I save money and get my Wyndam Points. Always clean and comfortable. Staff have always been great. Give it a try

Had to move from room 301 to 302, because there was a buildup of something that could only be described as mold and bird droppings mixed together. Is was disgusting. The room I was moved to had the same exact thing, except less of it. They need to check this out because it was absolutely disgusting. I would have moved again had it not been so late, but we just turned the AC off and sweated because that sounded like a more healthy alternative. The breakfast was less than appealing, but it was fre... Read more

I came here Friday July 29th- July 31 room 130 upon checkin the lady Marissa was so sweet and I think her customer service is awesome she made me feel very welcome but after that everything went downhill. We did NOT have our rooms cleaned the entire time we been here or even offered toiletries we had to keep asking the front desk. Saturday we left all day and asked to have our rooms cleaned and we got back at 11pm to find it hasn't even been cleaned. The lady at the front desk handed me sheets a... Read more

We stayed a week in August at Microtel in Perl River and had a great time visiting New Orleans and Slidell. Not much to do in Pearl River and the only reason I did not give them five stars is because I was missing a pool. The motel is simple but clean and very friendly staff.

After being flooded out of our house with 3 children, this was the closest hotel from where we live. We were willing to overlook the dead hornet that our cat found on the floor, the other bug that she found the next day, the internet being out for most of the day and the tv going out the first night we arrived, we were still happy to be in a room. What happened to us should never happen to anyone. When we checked in they said that smoking is allowed at the exit stairs on each floor. So, on our 2... Read more

We were in South Louisiana to assist with flood relief efforts and traveled between Pearl River and Baton Rouge. It's a bit of a drive, but there are no decent hotels to be found in BR right now. This hotel was nice, the breakfast was pretty good and the staff was friendly. Food options are pretty limited in the evening so if you are running late, get something in Slidell before you check in. There is a gas station next door which is a good option for quick snacks AND....a drive through daquari ... Read more

There is no way in the world this place deserves three stars. It is a low-end, cheaper property next to two gas stations that falls into the category of a Motel 6 or a Super 8. There are no frills at all which would be fine except that the room had a dampness and a smell that was disturbing. It came from being musty and mildewy. On the positive side the beds were comfortable and the front desk staff was friendly. If you choose to stay here, go in with your eyes open and don't expect much.

The front desk clerks had terrible customer service skills. Their attitudes were as if I was "bothering" them by checking in and out or by trying to get a problem resolved. Parking is LIMITED! More like, first come first service.

When I checked in at the front desk, I asked the manager for a suggestion for a good fish restaurant. Her answer was: "I don't eat fish, so I don't know". Just what I wanted to hear after driving 678 miles! That was it, and she walked away. Great hospitality, NOT!

Great customer service but there were tweezers and a purple pill left on the floor of my hotel room. I have 17 month old that puts everything in her mouth. I can overlook the wrinkled, lumpy bedsheets and the stained bath towel, and the suspect carpet. I just can't overlook pills and sharp objects being accessible to my toddler.

We use the Microtel for guest overflow when my family visits our relative I'm Parl River. The Purple Cow is right next door for gas, beer, etc. The Jubilee is also nearby for "heavy duty" grocery shopping. The rooms are nice if you need to double up and a suite or two is nice to have for visiting late night or early morning. This location seems to be getting more popular in recent years but they keep things clean & working.

After being on a long journey with a dog on my lap, this hotel was a dream. It was clean and perfectly located. The hot breakfast was a plus but not the reason we chose it. Finding clean, well taken care of properties that are pet friendly can be tough. Our pet is old and bark free so we never 'mess up' anywhere we stay. Overall, an excellent experience.
