"I was very upset with the hotel room. a very poor quality mattress. ac unit outside window that kept going on and off ALL night!! room smelled like smoke. power outlets not properlly covered. and onethat was would not hold a charger to charge the cellphone. I have stayed in many hotels in New Orleans but I would have to say this was the experience I expected!!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel with few complaints. It is an old hotel with updates! We stayed in a suite so having a micro wave in the refrigerator area would have been a plus as well as something to drink in the (mini bar) that is described in the amenities. Also we didn't get any robes that were also described in the amenities. We had excellent service and the entire staff is so thoughtful and friendly. "

"We were very pleased with The Lafayette. It is only 4 or 5 short blocks to the French Quarters and about a 10minute walk to the Mississippi riverwalk.. The hotel is clean andd service is good.It would have been nice to have at least a basic continental breakfast, but despit of this we would certainly stay on our next visit."

From the West follow I-10 East to New Orleans/Slidell. Exit Poydras St (234B) on the left hand side and continue straight to St. Charles Ave. Take a right and the hotel is on the left hand side.
From the East on I10
From Slidell/East New Orleans follow I-10 going west. Take the Canal Street Exit (235B) exit and take a right and go to St. Charles Ave and take a right. The hotel is on the left side.
From the West on I10
