"I love the Place D'Armes. I have stayed here a couple of times and will on any visit to New Orleans. It's a very special beautiful little hotel. a lovely intimate courtyard, quiet. I will make special trips to go there for my birthdays, celebrate the French Quarter. It's my special place."

The hotel is with in walking distance of any restaurant/bar or tourist attraction in the French Quarter/Jackson Square area. Always felt safe walking the streets sight-seeing whether it was during the day or evening. Our stay was for 4 nights/5 days for our anniversary and it was the best. The room was unique, charming and one of a kind in comparison to the chain hotels. We will return and the only hotel for us in the French Quarter/New Orleans is the Place D'Armes. We highly recommend staying there and give it an enthusiastic 4 thumbs up."

Although the staff was stiff and not at all what you expect from southern hospitality, the hotel itself made up for their less than friendly attitude. The location was excellent and very quite. I would definitely consider booking here again. Maybe I can even get the desk clerks to smile...."
