"I wasn't aware that the hotel was doing renovations. There was lots of loud bumping and hitting throughout my stay. The hotel lobby was torn up with plastic, lights and caution tape around it. The property was a lot older than I expected it to be. The telephone in the room looked like it was ready for the dumpster. I did enjoy the room and the staff was great. They were very helpful in all aspects of our stay. Will look to stay with them again."

"On a recent weekend trip we had to book last minute for an artist's reception for a piece I had in the Femme Fest exhibit. Prices were high b/c of French Quarter Festival, but we found a room here that we could afford. Some of the reviews from people that stayed for the FInal Four were not so great, so I was worried. But it was amazing...prompt valet service, a nice, huge room, very clean, very professional & super friendly & helpful staff. We wanted to grab lunch in the quarter, but weren't ready for our bags, so the front desk kept our stuff (including vluables) in a locked closet until we were ready to get the car from valet. I would totally stay here again!"

The telephone in the room looked like it was ready for the dumpster. With the amount I paid for the rooms, I expected a lot nicer hotel. I was not very happy. I used the valet service and when I got my car two days later, it had an extremely large amount of debris and water spots all over it. Again I was not impressed with conditions. Don't know if I would ever re book this hotel"

"We rode the Amtrak train into New Orleans on Friday and had to stay overnight before we could board the Carnival Triumph on Saturday. The Parc is conveniently close to Harrah's Casino which provided our one night stand entertainment. The hotel room was very clean and nicely appointed. It had a real closet. However, the bathroom lacked a counter area. There was no where to place your toiletries. We were on the sixth floor which provided an excellent view of the St. Charles streetcars. I must say the carpets in the hallway were wrinkled and worn. However, the carpet in the room was much better. The elevator is located in the bar so I can only imagine the difficulty of navigating through it amongst revelers on Saturday night or any other 'party' night. The room was non-smoking so my wife had to go downstairs several times throughout the night (she has insomnia and only sleeps for short periods) but she didn't feel threatened while standing outside the building. The cafe (no free continental breakfast) in the hotel served delicious food at standard NOLA high prices. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to store our luggage after we checked out while we ate in the cafe and waited to go to the cruise terminal. I wish I had booked this hotel for the three days we stayed in NO after the cruise instead of the other one!"

From the West follow I-10 East to New Orleans/Slidell. Exit Poydras St (234B) on the left hand side and continue straight to St. Charles Ave. The hotel is on the corner of St. Charles Ave and Poydras Street.
From the East on I10 / Slidell
From Slidell/East New Orleans follow I-10 going west. Take the Canal Street Exit (235B) exit and take a right and go to St. Charles Ave and take a right. The hotel is on the left side.
