"The hotel was in a great location. We wanted something that was reasonable. It didn't have to be super posh. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast in the morning was nice. They have waffle makers which were a plus. It was in a quiet area so you didn't have the noise of traffic or people. Good size room and bathroom. The pool and exercise area was small but nice. The pool is heated so you can go in at anytime. I would highly recommend it."

"We had several issues while at the hotel, however, the front desk staff was very attentive, friendly, and made earnest attempts to correct. They did not, however, honor the meal voucher that was supposed to come with the reservation from Bookit.com. Ultimately, Country Inn did not provide the voucher, however, Bookit.com promised to refund us the amount promised. We have not yet received the refund, but will check after the next few business days to follow up on Bookit.com's performance.



Overall, the hotel was nice, the staff was helpful. Mostly, they were actually the nicest front desk staff we had encountered at any hotel we have stayed at in New Orleans. Night staff was not as professional as the day staff.



The breakfast had many options, so something good was able to be found, although I would not recommend the eggs, and the coffee was just ok. It was also a full hotel so the breakfast area was crowded and noisy.



Overall it was a nice hotel, however, we prefer a few of the boutique hotels. For the first trip with our kids, it was a good option as they didn't overcharge for the kids, there is a small heated pool, and the breakfast & cookies were a good perk for traveling with the whole family.



In warmer months, I believe the courtyard area with small pool would be a nice outdoor area within the hotel complex to relax. Although a chain, the historic buildings did add some character.



Parking was high, but you expect that in New Orleans unless you find a deal with parking included. Good location as well.

"We stayd at the Country Inn for 4 nights in November. We had a pleasant stay. It is a great value in the French Quarter as it is priced less than some of the surrounding hotels. It also had a rustic feel that we really enjoyed and was convienently located 2 blocks from French Quarter (thus avoiding the late night noise).
The room was a bit small but it was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that all the pillows were down and I specifically requested non-down pillows as I am allergic. I called the hotel beforehand and they assured me that they had synthetic pillows, yet they didn't have it for me when I arrived and each time I requested new pillows the housekeeping staff kept giving me down ones. Finally I got one foam pillow which looked like it was sitting in a dank closet for the last few years. But if you are ok with down then you won't have this issue."
