"The location was very convenient. We booked 2 double king rooms and they upgraded us free of charge to two suits. The odd thing was that the only windows in the rooms faced the indoor hallway, facing the rooms across the way. This is a characteristic not mentioned or seen in the hotel's information. rnAnd this is the only reason why we will not stay again. Being able to open a window and enjoy fresh air is something we treasure... But if others don't mind, than it is a very reasonable deal."

"We arrived at the hotel earlier than expected and the staff was so nice they let us check in early. The rooms were very clean and smelled really good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was so good I booked another room. The location of the hotel was great about 2 blocks from the French Quarter and 1 block from Canel street. We didn't need a car or taxi because we were in the center of everything we even went to the aquarium and the Riverwalk. Great hotel, I will most definitely stay there again!!!!"

"The hotel was very clean, well kept, beautiful.
I did have difficult on my first go around following the directions due to the street sign being gone. Conceirge, was wonderful and spot with tour suggestions. He called and made all the reservations for me. He exeeded my expections.
The room was clean and met my standards.
It was in what i felt to be a same neighborhood. I travel alone and felt no qualms about going out alone at night.
I would definitely stay again.

"This was our first visit to New Orleans. I did a lot of research online to find the best hotel for us, considering that my parents would be traveling with us, and safety was a concern.

The hotel is very bright, clean and right in the heart of New Orleans. We walked one block to Canal Street, took the streetcar down to the Riverwalk and Harrah's. Many of the sites are within walking distance, which is great! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The odd thing was that the only window in the room faced the indoor hallway. Instead of looking outside, our window faced the rooms across the way. However, not having the morning sun in our faces allowed us to sleep in and be comfortable!

A few negatives: 1) the room did not have a refrigerator (for meds),
2) no restaurant in the hotel for breakfast except Starbucks and a Sushi bar,
3) the underground self-parking

We paid $20 a night for parking and it was a very tight squeeze. One evening, my husband drove around trying to find an open parking space, ended up at a dead end and had to drive back around in reverse! For $20, it would have been nice to have valet parking for guests.

All things considered this is a very nice hotel and I recommend it to other NOLA visitors. Even with the negatives, we would definitely stay at the Wyndham Garden Hotel Baronne Plaza when visiting New Orleans in the future!

"I loved the hotel, and everything was just right for us traveling and stopping. It took us almost seven hours to get there, the only thing with a bit of trouble was the parking. We had to walk to town and took a trolly because we did not want to move the van. "

"The hotel and rooms are generally clean and well-kept. There is no hotel-bar, but there is an adjoining sushi restaurant with a bar. This was my first time to stay outside the quarter, and I have to admit that I will make sure to stay in the quarter from now on. Although, it should be noted that the hotel is close enough to walk to and from the quarter. Overall, I'd recommend the hotel again."

"Great convenient location. Atmosphere is more like a school or office building than a hotel, not at all gardenlike - not a plant in the place. Bath was very nice, but it was a strange feeling to have the only window in the room looking out into the hallway. Bellhops are very friendly and helpful, housekeeping is haphazard."

"My only comment is that the rooms have no outside access. The doors to the rooms are all interior and there are no windows. Puts you to mind of an interior room and a cruise. Staff was great, didn't eat in the restaurant."

"The Hotel was great. It was well kept, clean and organized. The room was nice and clean. I wish there was a fridge in the room but thats luxury really. I stayed in a double. I didnt have any troubles walking back and forth to bourbon street which was only 2 blocks away. The price was great per night for the location and being halloween weekend. I would recommend the wyndham to everyone."

"For the price range we were looking for, I think this is as good as it gets. We originally booked a hotel in the french quarter, but after reading reviews we switched to this hotel. It was only 2 short blocks to Bourbon/Canal intersection. I never felt unsafe. Great location. Great price. Friendly staff. 12pm check out time. Clean rooms with cool AC. What more could you ask for? You won't go wrong with this hotel. We had a double room with a view. I did notice there were 'internal rooms' which had 1 bed. I'm not sure I would have liked an internal room, but when you are on vacation how often are you really in a room anyway?"

"A little rough around the edges but if you aren't spending much time in the hotel it definitely gets the job done. Pretty good location between the French Quarter and Garden District. The staff was above and beyond helpful and super friendly. "
