"The Hotel was well located in the French Quarter near Bourbon and Royal Streets, but far enough away from the noise for a good night's sleep. The staff was very accommodating, helpful, and attentive. Bathroom was a little small and didn't have a bar to hold onto in the bathtub. The King Size bed was very comfortable and the TV a good size. The buffet Breakfast at the Hotel was very good."

"The hotel is older but that is what we wanted. The rooms were fine with the bed being very comfortable. We had a balconey on the street side as we requested and it was very nice. Garbage trucks come every morning and are loud. They did not wake us up so not to bad. The street view is nothing to brag about but we did not expect much either. The bathroom is small but functional and water presure & temp was fine. The court yard area is very nice, it would be nice to see the fountain on all the time not just for special functions. The staff was great and helped us out with anyting we needed always with a smile and a can do attitude. The location is great 2 blocks from the party."

"The Maison Dupuy was exactly as I expected. It was well kept and the staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel was far enough away from all the activity yet, close enough to get to everything quickly. The breakfast was excellent and the bar service was awesome. The Hotel had so much more charm than say a Marriott or other traditional hotels. I would recommend this hotel."

"This hotel is nothing special but fine, I would give it a three star. Location is quiet two blocks away from Bourbon Str and convenient to most things in French Quarters and close to Cemetery #1 The court yard with pool is nice. However our room was dirty in all corners and closet had so much dust in it that when my husband removed his sweater from the shelf it was white with dust. No minibar. Bed was very comfy. The staff was fine except for two waiters we had in the bistro...terrible service, one out right rude and the other one incompetent. To sum it up.... OK hotel but there is no feeling of luxury and your are not being pampered. It is not a Luxury hotel as they claim on their website.. We did not expect a Hilton nore did we want one, but we had thought it would be a bit more unique and clean... I guess you get what you pay for....Also our booking included a Jazz Brunch at the Two Sisters Restaurant, We had the reservation for 1.00pm on a Monday, the brunch was lovely but there was no Jazz!!! All in all it was fine but a bit disappointing"

"I loved the location of the hotel--a couple of blocks from Bourbon St. Quiet, very friendly and helpful staff, clean. The only reason I wouldn't return is we could not get the room cool enough. We slept with no sheets on and still awoke in the middle of the night in a puddle of sweat. Then, it took forever to shower it off in the morning because of the shower head. From now on I am picking my hotels by air conditioning and shower amenities! Oh, and there are no vending machines in this hotel. If you want a soda you have to pay $3 for select Pepsi products in the gift shop."

"This hotel is over rated. The rooms are small, views aren't great, and the room had a broken toilet that ran constantly, as well as the toilet tissue holder which was broken from the wall. "Very nice hotel - charming, perfect location. Staff was friendly when we needed them. Pleasant courtyard. We spent little time in our room so the fact that it was a bit on the smaller size didn't bother us at all. No noise, comfortable sleep, walking distance to FQ attractions, courteous staff - all we could ask for. GREAT value. Would certainly return."

"I have to admit we were skeptical about the hotel; we had heard good and bad reviews. However the hotel was very nice. They just renovated and everything was clean and exactly what we wanted in NO.
I highly recommend this hotel. We started out in a balcony king deluxe. This was a great room but a little small for my taste. We went to the front desk and they were very helpful and moved us to a junior suite for our next 3 nights. This was worth it! Large room and balcony was perfect. They pipe soft music through the whole courtyard which was awesome for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Bed was great as well. You are 2 blocks to Bourbon Street, the perfect distance, we did not hear the noise but could be there in five minutes.
Again, the hotel made the trip!"

"The Maison Dupuy provided a great experience for my first visit to New Orleans. All of the charm and character that I was hoping for! The staff was very helpful and always pleasant. The food in the bistro was wonderful. I would most definitely plan a trip back there.
We were moved on our last night in town due to damages from hurricane Issac that required repaire and they exacuated the entire hotel. We were relocated to a hotel which was on Boubon Street. The hotel was much newer but we truly liked the Maison Dupuy better."

"The Maison Dupuy Hotel was fantastic becouse of few things. Firstly, it is located in French Quaters. You have Bourbon street two streets away. You can get to the port in 5 minutes and to French Market in 10-15 minutes. During the night is quite so if you are tired you can sleep. Secondly, staff is very helpfull, proffesional and friendly. They are always smiling and want to help you. Thirdly, rooms are clean and pretty. Swimming pool is isolated from the street.
If you are going to New Orleans it is perfect hotel:)"

"I really like this hotel. It has a great location; quiet; beds were nice. The parking is pricey, but it is on site and covered, so you are not getting in to a steamy, hot car. The big negatives is the bellman and the parking valet, who are the same person. When I arrived, there was no bellman or parking valet. After I unloaded my luggage, the valet took my keys and disappeared, leaving my car and me in the driveway. Check in was quick and I managed to get my luggage into my room. You can not call for your car from your room, you have to go down to the valet stand. He is usually not there; when he does show up, you'll have 15-20 minute wait to get your car. When I went to check out, I called for a bellman and then waited 15 minutes with no luck. Only after I was waiting at the elevator, did a bellman show up. If you don't need the use of a bellman or the parking valet, this is a nice hotel for you. Otherwise, stay somewhere else!"

"This was our second stay at the Maison Dupuy. Our first stay was enjoyable as was this one. It is a few blocks from Bourbon Street but its location is really not much of a walk from any place in the Quarter. Our room was very clean and was kept that way daily by their staff. The entire hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. We had a problem with the toilet in our room and within minutes of a call to the front desk, it was repaired. We ate only once in the restaurant and the food was good and not overly priced. The only negative aspect of our trip was the incredibly high cost to park. The charge for parking was $46 per day!! Our guess is that they really prefer you to leave your car at home. We will more than likely stay there again as we make regular trips to N.O.

"I stayed at this place 11 years ago ! it was better THEN it is now ! ..must be the new management/owner who changed things not to my liking !! They took out the leather comfort lounge chairs in the bar area,, in it's place were dining tables ..while the bar is small at least there were lounge chairs to relax to have a drink, smole, and relax !! Now smoking is not allowed thru out the whole hotel and restricted to a small area in the court yard!!!!! not even the pool area !!! They have dining room but no longer used for breakfeast or lunch !!! ? why it is a beautiful room and guests should be served there. I would say I chose this place in order to eat, drink, smoke and relax however things changed I was unable to do this time around ! So If like me, don't even think of staying there !!!!!! I must say they are having some growing pains, however by no means is it the fault lthe employees were very frendly and thoughtful but limit to the hindsight of the management towards it's guests to enjoy why they are on vacation in the first place..I really cared for this 11 years ago ,but disappointed this time"

"The staff are very friendly and the hotel is in a convenient location. The food in the bar is actually pretty good. But that is where the good stuff kind of ends.
I think maybe some of the rooms have been renovated or are nicer than others based on other reviews that were positive. Our room was definitely not renovated, which is fine, but FYI, not all are.
Our problem was that the room was really not very clean and there was no maid service during a three night stay. When we called and asked for maid service we were told that it wasn't available at that time. (We were out of the room for most of the three days, so not sure why there was never a time when she could come.)
The first room we checked into smelled really bad and the bathroom clearly hadn't been cleaned (things were generally a bit grungy) so we asked to be moved. The staff was really nice and moved us...but the second room, while it smelled ok, was still a bit grungy. Hair in the bathtub drain - the tub clearly hadn't been scrubbed down in a very long time...strange stains on the carpet - kind of damp, the sheets smelled a bit musty...I'm hoping because they just had been on the bed for a while but were clean...rather than because someone else had slept in them but I feel like that latter is more likely. Just not a good experience. I'm not usually that picky, but I do like things to be clean. I would not recommend it."

"The Maison Dupuy is a great value. The location is ideal and the facility is a very authentic French Quarter property. We had no view (except of a wall) and a fridge and/or coffee maker would have been nice, but the bed and linens were very comfortable. An American breakfast was included (one day) in our booking and it was very good. Lunch, on the other hand, was not. The waitress put in the wrong order for one of our party, and it took more than half an hour to get the right order--a hamburger! We had already finished eating before his food arrived. The ahi tuna 'salad' was 4 miniscule slices of tuna on a tiny bit of shredded cabbage for $14. Shepherd's pie was $19 for tasty mashed potatoes. The manager asked us how our meal was and when we told him, he just walked away. Go elsewhere to eat and drink. Overall, we would stay there again, but dine at the many wonderful French Quarter or Garden District restaurants instead."

"My husband and I have stayed at the Maison Dupuy several times over the past 20 yrs. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the hotel's courtyard, and since the hotel is slightly off the main streets of the French Quarter it is quiet. However, it is within easy walking distance of most popular restaurants, bars, shops, and other attractions. We had a slight problem during our stay in July, but it was rectified very satisfactorily. The food, including the breakfast buffet, was very good and prices moderate."

"The Hotel was nice, one of the reasons I picked it was because of the pool, sad to say the pool was not open the first 3 days we were there. As for the Room, it was fine, the bathroom was really small, and they need to do something about their shower curtains. Confused about the price of drinks at the bar, depending on the time of day would dictate the price? Not sure why that would be considering it was soda and non-alcholic drinks. Great breakfast buffet!!"

"I loved the ambiance the hotel. In addition, if you want a real New Orleans hotel, with typical architecture, you can't beat this place. The service was friendly and awesome!!!!! It is obvious that the staff works diligently at making the customer comfortable. During our stay, there was a Flash Flood in New Orleans, and the hotel 'took on some water' in a low spot in the building. Even though the staff was extremely busy preparing for 2 weddings and dealing with flood water (and flickering lights), I still felt they attended to us very thoughtfully. They have a 'business center', where one can look up and print out what you need for the rest of your stay. There's a fitness center, and an incredible sense of history in the place. I loved it;. Loved the restaurant and bar. Very romantic place."

"The hotel was quaint and served its purpose. It was older than we had expected but it was clean. The staff was nice and it was a walk away from anything in the French Quarter. To be honest, we did not spend much time in the room as we spent our time out and about. The room was hot when we got there but once we lowered the temp it cooled off pretty quickly. The only dissatisfier is that they did not have adequate parking. The night we arrived they were hosting a wedding and their underground garage was full. We spent an hour trying to find parking in or around the hotel and ended up 7 blocks away in a covered parking lot. The next day the garage was open but it did not look like it could house our truck as the spaces were tiny and there was not much room to turn. We ended up leaving our truck parked in the covered parking garage. Oh yea, and parking at the hotel cost $34 a night and the covered garage only charged us $17 a night. If you are looking for a place to sleep at a decent price then this is the place for you."

"So, that's exactly it. I read what the other people had posted about this hotel, and I had a way better experience apparently.
Yes, the hallway carpets could use a steam clean. When I arrived after I had read from another that they felt like the carpets could use some cleaning, I was expecting to see stained carpeting, etc. They were fine, and not stained, just could use a little refreshing. When I walked into my queen size room, I was surprised at the space, as it was bigger than I thought would be for an old Boutique style hotel. Everything looked nice, the bed was made up appealingly, and the pillows comfortable along with the bed. The shower could have been a smidge cleaner, yes, but was very close to being as one would expect any hotel bathroom. My linens were refreshed everyday, and the hotel front staff was pleasant. The walk is very close to Bourbon, and this hotel is really to me a great value for how close it is. The courtyard and pool is very nice, and kept up well as was clean. I even got a courtyard facing room without requesting it, and didn't think anything was loud. All in all, very comfortable, very close to Bourbon, and an excellent value all the way around."

"We stayed for three days. Front desk was very unfriendly. We were greeted with 'What do you want?'
We decided to eat at the hotel the first night. The bar promissed a good jazz musician and good food. Sadly the food was at best medium and the music not better.
I bought some water from their snack corner. You have to pay at the front desk. Again the stuff was unfriendly, no greeting and had to wait for a few minutes till one decided to take my money.
The rooms were clean, the carpet had spots, the hotel in the middle of the French Quarter everything in walking distance.

Biggest complaint was that a flat bottom sheet was used on the very comfortable bed. It wasn't big enough and we found ourselves in a wad of sheet and mattress pad each morning."

"The Bed was amazingly comfortable - pillows and comforter were great, everything was white and fluffy - it made up for the other short comings in the room. I loved the balcony, but the room seemed bare... I don't know that it was worth the upgrade, at least the room we had. The tub looked worn, but we just showered and left, the room seem a little old and dated.
The bar off the lobby was great, the Pool was awesome and beautiful for a late night swim with all of the trees lit up... the court yard is very pretty as well.
I would stay here again and I would recommend it but not the upgrade - take the plain room and enjoy the hotels nice amenities."

"Has gone way downhill. Saw a mouse in the hall it ran into a room. I was told engineering would take care of it. Valets were VERY loud in courtyard area in AM.Then they or the taxi drivers were 'fighting' in the hotel driveway over who was taking money away form the other with customers using the Airport taxi, it was crude. The yelling echos in the courtyard to rooms. Bedding looks dingy, carpeting dirty. Found candy wrappers (not from us) under bed skirt. Hot tub was cool. Weird people at the pool area. It was not like this in the past wand we had stayed there 2x before. Front am manager very nice, she tried hard to work on issues. Evening staff disinterested."

"Hotel was very nice, clean, and a perfect walk to Bourbon St. We were a bit disappointed with the front desk staff who seemed annoyed that we were checking in and then when I asked for the best view for the room that we paid for, we were given a room with a view of the wall next door and trash on the roof. We asked for a recommendation for a place to find breakfast at 7 a.m. and were told to walk 3 blocks down to all all night bar called Deja Vu where we could sit in a booth and order food. We got there and were shocked that they would recommend this place EVER to a traveler. The heavy metal music was blaring, it will thick with smoke and there were about 20 people who had obviously been up all night and were still partying. Scary.
The restaurant staff and the bartenders were great and very friendly. We were treated quite well and got legitimate recommendations for food and drinks!"

"We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. Upon arriving the hotel was full of charm. The staff however was not so friendly. They did not inform us upfront of the parking cost (32/day). The hallway carpet is not very clean. The room was old but my only complaints are that the bedding was stained, torn and dingy. I requested new bedding and the new set was much better. It is in a great location. Parking is valet and there is a pool. The cafe that is connected to the hotel had live music at night. "

"Room and bathroom were very small, but adequate. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a nice sized balcony overlooking the street. The pool area was nice, but the pool looks bigger in the picture. The hotel was a great, centralized location; 2 blocks from Bourbon St. Just be sure not to talk away from Bourbon St in the evening, not exactly the safest neighborhood, but there's nothing there anyway.
The only problem we had was checking in. We arrived a bit before check-in time and left our number with the concierge who said they would call when our room was ready. They seemed a little flustered at 4:00 with numerous people waiting around for their room."

"The location was excellent ! Walking distance from all the main events. However the room we stayed had a balcony which was nice , The bathroom was not the best. The tub was dirty and the faucets to the sink was not set up properly when bathing water would run on to the floor needed a tile on the floor at all times. The room did not have a refigerator or microwave which was an inconvience. The duration of my stay I had to request clean wash towels twice.nOverall the trip was great!"

"We stayed Feb 25, 2012 for one night before our cruise out of New Orleans. Did not get a discount, booking last minute and payed premium price. Everything was fine and even got early check in (1:00 PM ). We drove so the valet parking came in handy. Parking is chaos in the French Quarter. For one night the price has worh it to enjoy the experience of the French Quarters nightlife and all in walking distance. Staff was friendly and well staffed for check in and out. Newspaper and coffee in the lobby. All rooms are small due to the architecture of that period. Our balcony was very relaxing. To stay any length of time I would look for a discounted price. The night we stayed was the weekend after Mardis Gras so I knew I was going to pay premium."

"Enjoyed our trip to New Orleans (5th time there for me, 2nd for my partner) immensely! Love the music, history, food, and friendly people. That said, this hotel is definitely not what we have come to expect, after staying in numerous 4 star hotels across North America and Europe. Negatives; The room was small and very dark and dank smelling. The carpets looked in need of a serious cleaning. Despite daily maid service, the bathroom floor remained unwashed in many places for the entire six night we were there. The towels were thin and sometimes quite worn. It took 3 to 4 requests to get what we wanted (ie missing fridge in room was finally brought up, after my 4th request!). Positives; While the front desk staff were not terribly efficient, they were friendly and pleasant. The hotel location is fantastic, and they have a pretty courtyard and pool area. The sense of history is amazing! That said, next trip to New Orleans, we will be going back to Le Pavillion, or trying the Hotel Monteleone."

"First night we had people trying to enter our room at one in the morning. Apparently the room clerk registered other guests in our already occupied room? BURP! The next day, when we returned to the room late in the afternoon, we had to request maid service. Apparently they had missed our room. We assumed we neglected to place the 'please make-up this room' card on the outside door knob? BURP! Otherwise our stay, the staff and the people we meet were all very enjoyable."

"We recently returned from New Orleans where we stayed at the Maison Dupuy hotel. We were warmly greeted by a young lady that went out of her way to put us in a room with a balcony overlooking the court yard. We had to kill some time until our room was ready so enjoyed our complimentary drink in the bar where the bartender made us a Hurricane. Numerous staff members were walking in and out of the bar and all of them greeted us and were very courteous. Once in our room we were so happy with view from our balcony, overlooking the beautiful fountain and pool. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Every day we asked for maid service and loved coming back to our king size bed being made and clean towels. We had an overall excellent stay at the Maison Dupuy and will refer to family and friends!"

"We attended a wedding in Jennings, LA and decided to extend our trip with a visit to New Orleans. We booked The Maison Dupuy Hotel with BookIt.com due to on-line photos and reviews. We were very pleased! We got an excellent rate in the heart of the French Quarter and were within walking distance to everything. Our car was secure in their on location parking garage with 1/2 price valet parking! The hotel and our room was lovely, upscale but not at a upscale price. I would highly recommend BookIt.com and The Maison Dupuy Hotel to anyone planning a stay in New Orleans French Quarter!"

"For a 4 star hotel I wasn't impressed. I got the smallest room in the place, I think because of the package deal. The sheets and bedspread had holes in them. Some of the desk staff were not very helpful. The advertised perks, like a paper in the morning were not available. I would of appreciated if bookit.com knew that the courtyard was being renovated, I would have chosen a different hotel.

"The lovely Maison Dupuy Hotel s a :friendly, comfortable, and clean hotel. A lovely courtyard surrounds the pool and hot tub. The Bistro restaurant has wonderful food at a reasonable price. The small store and business center are additional perks. Location is great, only 2 blocks to Bourbon Street and within easy walking distance to thr Riverfront area. Tour buses will pick you up right at your front door.
Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Friendly bellstaff are always willing and able to help. Be sure to ask for a balcony room as they are more spacious. There are both courtyard and city views.
If you have room service ; I hope you meet the very nice little lady whoe served us. I wish I knew her name as she was awesome!

"Maison Dupuy is centrally located in the French Quarter and has a friendly and helpful staff. 3 minor complaints are: 1) the hot tub wasn't working, 2) we were charged $1a day for having a coffee maker in our room, even though we didn't use it and 3) there was no hotel stationery in the room. Not enough reasons not to return there, but it would have been nice if they had offered to remedy these issues.
We would highly recommend the bike rental shop at 325 Burgundy. The owner is full of useful information, the rentals a are first class and include basket, lock, map and helmets, which many of the other shops do not. Also his prices are lower. He was one of the highlights of our visit."

"Having stayed at the Maison Dupuy last Christmas, we were looking forward to an equally enjoyable visit. However, we were disappointed from the very start:
this year's 'standard' room was measurably inferior to last year's, in terms of value, condition, view, etc. The room was either too cool or too warm, even after our unsuccessful attempts to regulate it, and our 2 notifications to the front desk. The shower handle was broken, making it difficult to control the water temperature. A handle of the bureau was broken, as was one of the two chairs at the table (no armchair). A coffee machine had been added to the bathroom (a nasty practice!) with a note informing us that for each cup consumed, $1 would be added to our bill. The 'free' drink coupon was limited to just a couple of the bar's (cheapest) choices. The kicker came when I asked for a different room and was told that I could have an upgrade - for $200 more per night! Overall, a dark spot on our otherwise enjoyable visit to a terrific city."

"Check in staff were extremely nice and friendly-excellent experience. Then went to the room there was mold on the window sill and on the shower curtain. Oh well close the curtain for the window and put the shower curtain on the outside so it can't touch me. Then to the lounge for our 'book-it' cocktail. The waiter took forever then came back three times to get the drinks right. I could have walked to the river and got one quicker. The check in staff was nice enough to even give us a late check-out as we were late in arriving that evening but we could not leave our car past the regular check-out time.

"I don't know where that picture came from, but, it is not this hotel. Despite that, the location was great. It was close enough to walk to the river and Bourbon Street is only about a 3 minute walk, but it was quiet at the hotel. The courtyard was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We did have a little trouble checking in. We got there about 6:00 and our rooms were not ready. Book It had told me there were smoking rooms, but they were wrong. We were able to smoke in the courtyard though. When we got rooms, one had a leak in the bathroom and the floor was wet. The next room was ok, but we had to take showers because the bathtub looked yucky. It wasn't dirty I don't think, but stained. The hotel information in the room said room service was available until 10, but we called at 9:00 and had a little trouble getting them and when we did, the lady didn't know if we could get hamburgers that late or not. We did get them, but they were not very good and the bill for four people was almost $100. (We got 2 bottled waters for $7 each!) Our rooms were $125 a night. I would have been able to better overlook some of the drawbacks if we had gotten one of the $89/night deals I just saw on Bookit.com. If you do go, be sure to ask for a balcony room."

"We stayed at the Maison Dupuy in two rooms from sept 26-30 and couldn't have been more pleased. I really booked the rooms just hoping for something decent to stay in while enjoying the quarter, but was shocked at how nice this little hotel is. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, beautiful courtyard, friendly staff, and two nice restaurants. Away from the noise but easy walking distance to everything in the quarter. I usually like to stay somewhere different every time I come to Nola but I will most likely be staying here again."

"We chose New Orleans as the location to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. When the hotel we wanted was booked, the Maison DuPuy was recommended to us. We were very glad that we chose the Maison DuPuy, our seven night stay there was great! ALL of the staff were very friendly and helpful, even recommending 'out of the way' restaurants where the locals go. The hotel was very nice and the location was great. The pool was closed one night due to the courtyard being booked for a wedding, but otherwise it was available any time. Thank you Maison DuPuy for helping to make our stay so enjoyable!"

"I recently stayed at the Maison Dupuy as I was in town for a funeral. I enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again. I arrived after midnight, and the night staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, given it is an older hotel, and the bed was great! I had a balcony room facing the street. The balcony was shared by 2 other rooms, but never had an issue. In fact, one evening, I brought up a few drinks from the very nice bar, and sat out on the balcony, enjoying the atmosphere outside (while still watching a ball game on the great HD TV). My only criticisms would be that parking was way over priced (although the valet staff was very nice), and some furniture should be upgraded in the near future - it was looking a little old, and not in the classic sense. That would really make this place shine!"

"Our 3 night stay was wonderful at the Maison Dupuy Hotel. We were in the parlor suite and found it to be very clean and spacious. The entire staff exemplified 'southern hospitality'. After a busy day of sight seeing and adventure we would return to the hotel for cocktails at the bar and enjoy the live entertainment. The bartenders also gave us great advise on where to eat at the 'locals' restaurants. Afterwards we would retreat to the courtyard and let the gas lamps, the tropical foliage and the bubbling water fountain complete setting the mood for the evening. It was as if we were in our own private oasis, very private and intimate. Fresh towels were just a few steps away after a dip in the pool or relaxing time in the hot tub. A nearby elevator provided a great escape back to suite, avoiding the reception area, and helped to maintain that magical mood. We plan on returning to the Maison Dupuy for out next visit to the unique charm of New Orleans.

"My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are clean and staff was very friendly and efficient. I especially enjoyed the fact that there was a balcony and we were able to sit outside. The restaurant was great, wonderful food and friendly service. Would return and recommend."

"The Bookit.com rate was a steal. The bar serves great bloody marys. Room service is expensive and the food is not worth the price. The beds are extremely comfortable. The location is convenient to the French Quarter."

"My trip to New Orleans was one of the most enjoyable trips I have taken. My hotel The Masion Dupuy; the staff was outstanding, the room wasvery nice, the hotel staff was very friendly and curteious. The location of the hotel was perfect. All the attractions we were interested in was in walking distance. Everything was just outstanding. I'm making plans to visit again and plan to stay at the Maison Dupuy. I can't say enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you."

"We stayed for 2 nights. the room was very nicely appointed and the view from the balcony was totally french quarter. we were only 2 blocks from Bourbon Street and within easy walking distance to all of the French Quarter. The first night, the hot tub was way to hot, but it was fixed and great the next evening. we didnt eat at the restuarant, but the drinks at the bar were better than average and the front desk and bartenders were helpful and friendly."

"We stayed at the Maison Dupuy the year after Katrina and it was beautiful. We may have had a deluxe room. For our stay this weekend, the hallways were filthy - dental floss, feathers, and a plastic cup were in our hallway the whole time we were there. The room itself seemed battered and rather sparse (standard room) but was clean. Despite that, I killed a giant NOLA roach in the bathroom at night. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet except for the shouting maids in the morning. They were gossiping at the top of their lungs starting at 8 AM. All in all, it wasn't as nice as we remembered from our first stay. I'm not sure if we would choose to stay here again."

"Hotel was in good location but not the nicest. Small beds, cheap towels, no coffee maker in rooms. Was given directions incorrectly twice and had to back track after running into a local. Requested a couple of chairs to put on the balconey with the table that was there and was never given any in the three days we were there. Would not recommend."

"Friends and I enjoyed a ladies trip to New Orleans this week. We stayed at the Maison Dupuy hotel and were very happy we did. The service was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely done, in a quiet location, but close to Bourbon St. and shopping. The beds are very comfortable, too.
The adjoining Meritage restaurant was a wonderful surprise. All the dinners we ordered were excellent, and the entire restaurant staff provided us with exceptional service. The same is true for their Bistro! I love their Shrimp Tacos, wish i could have brought some home. I will definitely stay there again, hopefully soon."

"We were recommended to stay at thie hotel on our recent trip to NOLA by The Cheeky Chef. We've been here many times before and really lenjoyed this hotel - the pool and terrace area were a nice break from the hectic atmosphere of the French Quarter. The bar tender Forest was very friendly and fully of suggestions of where to go/things to do. We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a get-a-way. We always try new restaurants and this time it was August Restaurant -- fine food and wonderful atmosphere. A repeat for sure"

"Walking distance from the shops, restaurants, and bars... on our first night the bar staff was kind enough to draw us a map of some local music, shops, and off the beaten path 'non tourist' locations. We will be coming back, and we will stay here again. "

"The Mansion Dupuy exceeded expectations. It was conviennent to everything. The breakfast room was a feast for the eyes, with it's colorful artwork and hand painted wall space.. The room was clean and comfortable. This was a very good experience"

"We really enjoyed New Orleans and this hotel. The location is perfect and the trolly ride down thru town was a nice introduction to the area. Also enjoyed the swamp tour!"

"Trip to New Orleans was both great and poor-it rained several days the first half then was clear and sunny and delightful. The hotel was lovely, unfortunately our room looked out on a cement wall but our friends room had a nice, bright window! Some rooms even have terraces overlooking the gorgeous fountain and courtyard.
We really enjoyed Burbon Street, the food and nightlife! Take a swamp tour if going-it was amazing.
The dollar twenty five trolley gives you a good sence of the city, mansions and overall layout of the city-HIGHLY recommend as a place of interest and FUN!"

"What a wonderful place to stay! We liked that it was close enough to Bourbon Street to afford easy access, but far enough away to enjoy a nice, quiet sleep to recharge our batteries! They have a very nice, small pool and comfy courtyard, so you can cool off with a swim or lounge a bit if you want to soak up some rays. King size bed/room was adequate and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have a car, so did not have to deal with parking, but their attendants seemed to do a nice job of taking care of that for guests. We would definitely stay there again!"

"A group of us stayed at the Maison Dupuy in early September. It's proximity to Bourbon St. was the best of both worlds. It was a quick walk to all of the action. But, a nice break from the noise when you really needed it.
The hotel itself could use a bit of updating. We paid for a room with a street side balcony, but it was tiny and asked them to change us to a larger room. The bathrooms were small and had very little sink space, which for the gals can be an issue.
Apart from that, the rooms were clean. The main areas of the hotel were upscale and the pool area was gorgeous. I would recommend this hotel if comfort, affordability and location are a priority. If room size and decor matter, you may want to keep searching."

"Staying at this hotel was very smart. Location in the F.Q. yet away from the hustle and bustle of Borboun St proved excellent. After spending the day on foot with high humidity and stratospheric temps it was very nice coming back to the stillness and quietness afforded by M.Dupuy. Cooling off at the pool before night time was relaxing. The bar and restaurant area had a singer some nights yet we only visited to cash on welcome drink vouchers. We had no interest in dressing up either. In general, this was a great deal and excellent choice."

"Great hotel! Check in was fast, the room had was spacious and had a view. The courtyard was spectacular and came with a great pool with atmosphere. Old world with modern amenities. The breakfast bar was good and filling. I booked the room through Bookit.com and along with a great price came half off parking per day, 2 for free breakfast bar, and 2 free drinks. Excellent value from a top tier hotel close to Bourbon Street."

"My girlfriend and I have stayed in the Maison Dupuy Hotel 2 or 3 times. It is great, its quiet, upscale and really, really nice. The room service is EXCELLENT. The restaurant and Bar are ever so convenient. If it is rainy weather you never have to leave the hotel. The food is excellent and the drinks are just as good. The pool area is great also. At night it is divine. Make sure you get a balcony room, so you can sit out in the late evening! I would recommend the Maison Dupuy to everyone especially if you come to relax and enjoy. The location is great and you just cannot beat it compared to a larger hotel. This place is a laid back atmosphere. You can really let the GOOD TIMES ROLL !!! I will always stay there when I com to New Orleans."

"My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Maison Dupuy. I could not recommend it enough for folks who are looking to be in the heart of the Quarter and want a great value. We found the staff to be truly helpful. The lady at the front desk was a gem- setting up tours for us and answering all of our questions with a smile. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the restaurant connected to the hotel. The red beans and rice cannot be beat! The waitstaff was lovely. Our bartender was so welcoming and friendly- to top it off, he can make a mean Bloody Mary! The rooms are standard, but we did not spend much time indoors at all. The pool is located inside the courtyard- it is relaxing and quiet, not to mention beautiful. We liked the fact that both the pool and hot tub were open until 11pm, it was a great treat to come back to the hotel and relax!"
