In New Orleans for a wedding and what a wonderful stay. This location is so convenient to the French Quarter, shopping, the river front fun, Harrahs and museums. Easy access from the airport or driving from I 10. The staff was wonderful from check-in, great information on things to do, even housekeeping and room service were timely and friendly. I was at the hotel for a conference and stayed thru the weekend for fun. The week day vs. weekend vibe is very different. During the week the hotel is occupied by many professionals who are in town for one of the many conferences in NOLA, and on the weekend the hotel is occupied by weekend partiers, softball/baseball families, tourists and on this weekend a high school prom. In the weekend the halls are noisy at all hours. Security is hit or miss. On the weekend evenings a security booth is... Read more

Sheraton Hotel is good quality and is next to the French Quarter of the city. Within walking distance of Bourbon Street and the Port of Mississippi. Bourbon street had dozens of pubs and restaurants. One I recommend is Daisy Dukes for oysters.

Hotel is average. I really did like the street view except for the extremely dirty windows. Would have scored higher if I could have enjoyed a clear view during my stay. Conference rooms were good and to be ecexpected. Great location to the French Quarter.

Our room was clean and spacious, the bed was really comfortable and we had a great view of the Mississippi. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location was perfect with a short walk to the French Quarter and of course Bourbon Street only a few blocks away. The trolley is only a few steps away from the front door. We was allowed into our room even though we arrived at 10am which was a real surprise bearing in mind it was Memorial day weekend. Overall a great hotel.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. It was beautiful. Nice, clean, hotel front desk staff was helpful and polite. The room was nice and spacious. The hotel was also only 3-4 blocks from affordable parking garages. However, there was no in-room wi-fi and the room service was completely out of our price range. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was incredibly close to bourbon, Royal, and the river walk. It was also nearly a straight drive down Magazine Street to the Audubon Zoo. I g... Read more

Location: great; workout area: great; room service: very slow (30 minutes late) but was hot and very good when it arrived; employees: very friendly; ice: not available, machine broken; Internet: minimum of $12 per day; parking: $40 per day. I found the Internet fee almost insulting when parking fees are already $40, but that is NOLA. If I had not gotten a deep discount on Hotwire, I would have been pretty upset. However, I would stay here again simply because of the location. If I got another go... Read more

We stayed in NO for 6 days on a business trip. Company covered expenses. Would I stay here on my own dollar, probably not. Very spendy. Rooms were $250/night, add an additional $14.99/24 hours for wifi, $40/night to park. We stayed on the 28th floor. There are 40+ floors. The elevators are quick, thankfully with 6 of them going at once. The hotel has a pool that we visited. Very small, only 4 ft deep at max. The rooms were nothing fancy. The room was great, comfortable, and the customer service was excellent. The free breakfast was big with lots of comfortable sitting. We were upgraded. All that said, the internet was not free, and the parking was valet only. You're not allowed to walk to your car. I forgot my phone charger and the valet guy had to go get my car, drive it around, I had to give him a tip, and he had to re-park it, just for a charger. Great location for walking to the French Quarter.

I have stayed at this Sheraton a few times and it is always a good experience. Staff goes out of their way to take care of you. This is a great location to the FQ. I dinged them one star for their wifi, as this is a big deal to me. I am a network engineer and I always get calls to fix something. One of the necessity of the hotel is it location: not far away from Conference hall (15 min on foot) and 3-5 min from city heart - French quarter. Unfortunately there were no vegetables and thought the staff during breakfast was kind, but sometimes forgetful :).

A very nice hotel in a great location -near Bourbon Street one way and the Riverfront the other. Reception staff were very friendly and check in was quick. We were on the 10th floor with a river view. The building next to the hotel had two very large extractor fans on the roof that were making quite a noise. Both of us are very light sleepers so we decided to ask if we could move to a quieter room. This was my first time to New Orleans. Our room was comfortable and clean and the air worked well, we were on the 40th floor so had a great view. The staff were helpful and informative. There's something about the Sheraton which irritated and that's the greed. No free wifi, a fortune to park, and one plug available in the room. The shower was poor when others were taking a shower. I don't like huge corporate hotels- they lack intimacy and are not person centred. Our travels from Minneapolis to New Orleans has been peppered with some delightful accommodation - this 3 days stay wasn't a great choice. It's very centralised and has good access for everything locally which is a s... Read more

Visited this hotel for the nice with my husband and 2 kids. Very nice and clean hotel. Staff was very friendly as well. Unfortunately, the walls/ceilings/floors are paper thin. Ended up checking out at 3am because I could hear the television in the next room all night. Even made 2 calls down to the front desk to try to resolve it but to no avail. Even the outside noise at the 42nd floor was extremely loud. Pool and their appetizer hour were disappointing as well.

This hotel is huge, was here for a conference and it was absolutely suitable for that purpose. Stayed the entire week and enjoyed a lovely visit in NOLA with my husband coming along for the trip. The rooms are very dark and old, but have great views if you are high enough. The lobby and bar are beautifully done and there is a large restaurant the floor above which is pretty accessible. This is a large hotel located conveniently on Canal Street. The positives I experienced was excellent meeting rooms with attentive staff with good banquet meals. The negatives I experienced were long wait at the front desk, billing issues unresolved, not the room that was guaranteed, arrival at room with trash left around from previous guests, dog barking across the hall, and not good sound proofing between rooms.
