Just got first impression... Outside is nice, right in front of an outlet mall and easy walking distance to the convention Center. We received a very quick checkin (always appreciate this) but when asked if we could upgrade the room and pay for an upgrade, it has been denied...hummm reason being because it was book with that does a bad customer experience with Expedia and leave a weird feeling as we were ready to pay for it and got denied... :-( We have enrol to the OMNI... The room was a lot smaller than expected, the decent wifi was 14.95/24 hours which is super high in my opinion, and being a riverfront hotel I expected a view, but all I got was a window across from mine (which was awkward). All those things aside, it was clean - someone came and cleaned my room every day. I didn't find any dust or bugs in the room - which always makes me feel super comfortable. I didn't spend a lot of time at hotel, but I saw many people lounging around in the cafe + bar so I... Read more

Ice machine on floor hard to find. No vending. Staff encouraged us to spend more money, use room service. Turn off. Couldn't find coffee pot. Assumed they wanted us to use more room service. Didn't look for coffee pot (in cabinet under TV) until second day. Valet parking fee excessive. Fire alarm at 5 am woke everyone up. Dinner in restaurant acceptable but service was too slow.

My husband and I stayed here for our 15th anniversary as a trip to NOLA. I booked this hotel because we like the Omni brand and I wanted something that wasn't in the French Quarter but was close enough to walk or via transportation. The location was easy to get to off of the highway. We used the Omni hotel website to book and used the Park, Eat and Stay package which included valet parking and breakfast for two. So parking was easy and the valet was cheerful in greeting us after a long day of d... Read more

We arrived at 12 midnight due to the drive from outside the state and found the hotel to be really good. However, due to being near the elevator; it was very noisy and there were children at midnight running around the floor. Unacceptable for a 4 star hotel and after such a long drive. The rooms are pretty nice, however, the bathroom is lackluster. The shower was too low and hard to move up. The tile and shower section was an entire wall which would have been awesome except there was not a p... Read more

Great location. Reasonably priced for the level of service and accommodations. Very conveniently located. No self park so parking is a bit pricey, but there's in and out privileges and parking in the heart of New Orleans is always a premium. Near convention center and the Casino. Very good choice for New Orleans. Bar and restaurant are also excellent in case the weather doesn't cooperate or you don't want to roam the city.

Convenient location near the Riverfront Centre and an easy walk to such as the French Quarter and other great names. Good sized, comfortable and quiet room, and reasonably priced. Found reception professional and efficient, but somewhat less friendly than the amazing service we experienced elsewhere in New Orleans. A wonderful city, and this is an excellent hotel.

We had such a nice experience at this hotel. Great value, nice people and decor that was seamless, calming and stylish. Our room was very clean although the doorway was quite narrow. As nice as a stay at the Marriott several blocks down. Great hotel bar where I tried the seafood gumbo. Really nice professional and helpful staff including the valet, bell hops, hotel reception and bar staff. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will use Omni again in the future!

The hotel staff is unbelievably friendly and the hotel is really clean and comfortable! The only issue we had (and it was really minor) was that we used the Pre-Check In option and when we arrived our packet wasn't where we were told it would be and we had to stand in line to check-in. The Cafe staff was very friendly, but service was a little slow first thing in the morning (came down at 6:10), buffet wasn't ready and they didn't have any bagels (were told they were "out").

The room I had was long and narrow. The TV was about 20 feet from the bed. Room # 204. Shower had scum stains and needs to be scrubbed. Bed was comfortable. The A/C ran all the time. No on or off switch. Stay away from the restaurant on site at lunch time. I waited 50 mins for a salad. Ended up cancelling my lunch and walking away. With an unplanned visit to New Orleans over the Labor Day weekend, I booked this hotel on Expedia under their surprise category - that they would reveal the hotel only after I booked it because the price was too low to publish. Regardless if that's true or not, we found this hotel very nice, clean, comfortable and walking distance to most attractions but not in the middle of all the craziness of the French Quarter. New Orleans was packed over the holiday weekend so I was really glad to get such... Read more

My husband and I have stayed here numerous times over the past few years and the staff is super to deal with. The rooms are spacious and beds so very comfortable! What makes this hotel so special is that it is rather small in comparison to other 4 star hotels in the area. If you are an Omni member, you even get free coffee delivered to your door each morning! This hotel was one of Harrah's Casino partner hotels and just recently taken off of that select list. Needless to say,we were very disapp... Read more

I chose this hotel vs the conference hotel because of the great room rate. It was within a 5min walk to my conference and close to many great restaurants. The outlet mall is across the street, the casino is 2blks away, and there is a great hop on/off tour stop located at the casino. The staff were wonderful and my room was spacious. Will definitely stay here if I am back in New Orleans!

Bar and lunch staff were the best part of our experience here. The front desk clerk was never there when we needed him. We were given keys to an already occupied room. The bathroom rug was very dirty. Room had a dreary view and the lighting in the room was low which gave it a dreary feeling. The location of the hotel was excellent-near the wedding party the night before and the actual wedding venue.

We recently stayed for three nights at the start of a USA driving holiday. This hotel was booked in the UK on the advice of our travel agent. It fitted all of our needs for a short stay. It is well within short walking distance of the French Quarter and if you wish to be quicker there is a streetcar stop just over the carpark in front of the hotel. From start to finish we found the staff friendly and helpful. Excellent check-in with advice. Bedroom was large and clean with everything as needed. ... Read more

My wife and I were in New Orleans this past weekend to put her art and sculptures in a shop on Magazine St. We chose this location to stay at because it was conveniently located to everything. Our stay was OUTSTANDING from the time we checked in to the time we left! The staff was friendly and helpful from the front desk to the bar to housekeeping. The room was great and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in before. We will be back often for her art and the Omni Riverfront will be our... Read more

I stayed at the Omni Riverfront about five years ago while attending a convention. I decided to stay their for this trip. The prices were reasonable and it isn't far from places I wanted to visit. I know they've made improvements since the last time I was there. We will now stay there every time we visit NOLA.

By far one of the BEST hotels I have stayed at. Rated by me as #1 in customer service!!! The only thing I regret is not having enough time to really see downtown NO. However, I did venture down Bourbon Street which was a "WOW" moment for me.

Comfort of beds is important to me when I travel, and this hotel did a good job of providing that detail. All the employees were personable and the location was a major plus. It is located away from the noise of the French Quarter but within a short walk to all the major points of interest.

Paid our bill and left husband did not pay attention to the bill. When I looked at bill we were overcharged by 115.00 in parking. My money was refunded quickly just felt this needed to be said. We would go back but really go over bill before leaving. This is a great place to stay.

Girlfriend's weekend at this hotel. We flew in to see what New Orleans was all about and found a great deal on this hotel. It is in a good location directly across the street from a mall and less than 10 minute ride to the French Quarter. The food in the restaurant (breakfast) was good. The downside to this hotel is twofold - 1) the deal was booked because we received an alert upon booking that said, "Book Now and a family of 4 will receive dinner for each night of your stay". Was warned away from close proximity to Bourbon street even though it was quiet time in New Orleans. Could not fault the Omni Waterfront. Good location, over the road from shops and where cruise boats tie up. You also have the waterfront walk as well. Good position to walk. Close to Harrahs Casino just down the road and from there into the main area. Staff are friendly and the layout suits the style of Hotel. Enter the main front door or exit the back door onto the walkway to restaurants/hotels/... Read more

Average hotel with a large room, furniture a bit old. Decent resturant. The position is strategic for the congress venue and for the Riverwalk mall. The French quarter is only 10 min walk and you are out of the stink of the center street. Just in front of the hotel the stop of the typical NOLA street car.

The hotel is close to the Riverfront (1 mile) without being to close to Bourbon St and the noise. Great staff and service in comparison to similar hotels of that level. The hotel restaurant/bar is good except for breakfast. Service was slow when ordering off the breakfast menu and buffet was $22 for less quality than Embassy Suites

You cannot get it much worse: Food tasting non-descript and pretty bad but in rediculous amounts and servers that do not see you until you have to stand up to remind them of you. Not once but several times. The second dot and reason not rating "terrible" was the company with whom we were there.

This is the perfect location to be within walking distance to all of the French Quarter action but having some peace and quiet at the same time. The arts district around the hotel has a great selection of restaurants, coffee shops, and sights. Room looked as though it was recently renovated and was very comfortable and modern.

Very classy and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower had great water pressure! We stayed on a Thursday night so the city was pretty quiet and we got great sleep. No issues with weird hotel room noises or too much quiet (which can sometimes make it hard to sleep). Overall great experience.

We stayed at the Omni for two nights, it was fairly comfortable and the room looked nice but it wasn't really clean, the toilet had black mold all around the inside rim and the carpet was a little crunchy.
