After desperately needing a new hotel, I decided to stay at the midtown even though I had read horrible reviews and noticed it was placed in the notorious Tulane Ave (a very dangerous, and unsafe neighborhood). I was greeted by a very nice lady at the check in, who promised me a room change the next day (was going to stay for 2 days) as she stated 'I wouldn't even stay at the fourth floor'. I was placed in a windowless, lightless room that was honestly very dark and depressing. The next day, I w... Read more

This place is a total nightmare. Cockroaches in the carpet, a strong odor throughout the building, rude staff, broken elevator, and lots of mold. Despite the fact that we didn't spend a single night in this hotel which we had 3 nights booked at, we were denied any sort of reimbursement. Avoid this place at all costs. The conditions are so bad I am honestly surprised the building is legally habitable.

I think it is probably safer to sleep on a street corner than it is to sleep in this hotel. I reserved this hotel on Expedia looking for a cheap hotel to spend the night before my early morning flight out of New Orleans. The saying "saving money costs money" could never be more true. Driving to the hotel I noticed the neighborhood itself was not the nicest of places but I figured that I would be fine in the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel I was disappointed by the reception area but I let it p... Read more

Friendly staff. That's about the only positive thing I can say. The place is falling apart. There was mold and water damage in every corner of the room. They keep the AC completely off, so walking in was like getting hit in the face with about 90 degrees of disgusting smelling air. It took a good 2 hours to get the room cooled off to a near-comfortable place. The hot water in the shower lasted for maybe 15 minutes. The tv didn't work. And on the way out I noticed the last time the ele... Read more

Old dirty carpets in hall and room, very musky odor, very unsanitary . No ice machine and microwave available for guests. I booked thru Expedia. The Property Manager very rude, she needs customer service class. Also a dirty pool, I was very afraid to use.The housekeeper/maid were very pleasant.

Holy God this place is a nightmare. The first tip off is the rules at the front desk. No guests after 9 pm, "ABSOLUTELY no refunds," etc. Blood stains on the way in, mold everywhere, the elevator certification expired in 2013... I could go on but you could just Google this place to see the previous hotel OWNER was MURDERERED ??.
