Don't get me wrong -- I appreciate a bit of style and the fact that the hotel goes out of its way to avoid being another cookie cutter chain. Nice touches like the funky lobby seating and well appointed hotel bar were nice touches. The rooms were reasonably outfitted. However, there are some simply bizarre elements of the hotel decor such as a looping video of a man dancing with a chair in what appears to be a burnt out area of New Orleans in the lobby by the elevator bank (!). This would be... Read more

Of course there are lots of hotels in NOLA but compared to others this one is very competitive. Rooms - comparatively a bit small in US but okay for 2 persons, breakfast was wonderful and provided a lot of option. Quiet and safe area to stay but everywhere is convenient in walking distance.

Friends and I decided to do a trip here just because we have never been. The journey was long but this hotel was great! We loved everything about it. The cab ride was $30/2 people but $15pp for 3 or more to/from the airport. When we got to the hotel we were greeted and everyone was really nice. We were able to get early check-in and was given a room on the 21st floor. Hotel had a really basic but nice decor, the room was small but very hip, everything was clean. The staff, especially Jermaine and Danny, were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay special. From upgrading us to a suite, to walking us to the restaurant where we had reservations, their attention to detail and customer service was outstanding. The property is well maintained and well appointed. We would definitely stay here again and again! Kudos to Le Meridien New Orleans and thank you for all that you did to make our experience unforgettable!

This is a lovely hotel. It's fairly small and has an intimate feel to it. My sleep room was very comfortable. It's an easy walk to the French Quarter as well as a trolley that goes to the Garden District. The staff was wonderful...especially the concierge Danny who went out of his way to help us successfully orchestrate our NOLA adventure. I would recommend consulting with him before you head out to explore as he provided great tips about tour companies, transportation options and self-guided ... Read more

Perfect location to Harrahs Casino, we literally walked across the street and we were there. The Hotel is very nice and clean although the rooms were kind of small, the showers are glass enclosed and really nice. The Bell Hops made our stay! They were all very polite and helpful and weren't ALWAYS looking for a tip even though we gave them one every time. The front desk was neither here or there; they didn't go out of their way in hospitality, but they weren't rude in any fashion either. The hot... Read more

Good Location if your going to New Orleans to gamble at Harrahs, and event at the Superdome or to the French Quarter. The staff was exceptional. Very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was great. The bathroom was small. Valet was great. My only real complaint is there was no room coffee maker which was a bummer.

I really enjoyed my stay at Le Meridien primarily due to the helpfulness of the staff, cleanliness, and very welcoming feel. This isn't a 5-star property like the Four Seasons, but dollar-for-dollar it's an excellent choice. Just far enough from the Quarter to have easy access; very accommodating staff, and a choice bar for cocktails. The staff recognized me after only a few hours of being in the hotel, and they truly took care of everything. I'm staying again on my next trip! The downside is so... Read more

Stayed here for our two year anniversary and were very very pleased with our stay. We were able to check in early around 12pm and got a room with a view of the river and Harrah's next door. The room was a bit on the smaller side and the bathroom was cramped, but I really enjoyed the style of the room and the hotel I'm general. Bed was very comfortable; it was a dream coming back to it after a night on Bourbon St. The bar downstairs was ideal. Perfect spot for a mid day cocktail or night cap. T... Read more

Le Meridien is located in a perfect spot in downtown NOLA. Most, if not all, of what you'd want to experience in the city is within walking distance of the hotel. It's my understanding that it's a new hotel, and that definitely shows! Really clean room and amenities including a pretty sweet rooftop pool. 5 night stay in June - we had to change some plans and picked this hotel on the spur of the moment mostly based on location and price (got a rate for $125ish). It worked out well. The hotel has a very modern and stylish feel, we stayed on the 22nd floor in a King, the room was spacious enough with a great bathroom, bed was comfortable, TV was huge with a lot of channels. I had a wonderful stay at the Le Meridien Hotel. Very stylish lobby with influences of French 1950s design featuring designs and inspired design by Serge Mouille, Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouve. This all taken a notch up glamor ladder with some bling, chrome and brass. The lobby was great to sit, relax, chat and just people watch. The standard room where i stayed was ok. I'm not a snob, but I am a SPG and this room was a bitter disappointment.! Stayed here for two nights on business and found it to be a perfect hotel. There was a movie being filmed during my stay so parts of the property were off limits; those I experienced were great. The bar had fantastic service and some refreshing cocktails. My rooms, albeit small, was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. Location is great and noise from the street was surprisingly minimal. The hotel is lovely with the auto doors welcoming you but the little things left undone spoiled it for me. The amenities are good but offering me a free bottle of water and then not replacing it when I use it was quite a turn off, the housekeeping staff left a cleaning clothe in my room for 2 days even though I reported it at the front desk. After they finally responded, they told me the cabana rental package for 2 people was $300 and you could choose from either 3 Bud beers or 3 Bud lights. For $300. I think this is off brand for the Meridien. After I got this rate, I tried to call and understand the rationale for this "deal". Everytime I call, I ge... Read more

This hotel is beautiful and modern, the facilities are very comfortable. Everything is doable for the right price... I really enjoyed it, however everything is extra! Internet extra and expensive, a decent coffee extra... It said breakfast included but not the buffet just some very poor continental breakfast at the bar... Parking for guest but with a charge. So take that into account when making your reservation. In location wise it is super well located. Quite area yet super close to where all ... Read more

I travelled on my own with my three little kids in tow. We had an amazing time. The location was perfect â?? only a short walk to the Riverfront, Canal St., or St. Charles streetcars and the New Orleans ferry. Pedicabs are readily available too in front of Harrah's by Canal St. The hotel itself has beautiful modern decor, although minor maintenance issues need tending too, i.e., our toilet paper holder did not close properly. The staff were all incredibly professional and friendly. The concierge... Read more

I've visited New Orleans dozens of times and stayed in many different hotels. This one was a bit disappointing. On the plus side, it is in a good location and the staff was quite friendly and pleasant. On the down side, the room was quite small. We were unable to close the shower door tightly, so water leaked all over the bathroom floor with each shower. The rooms were clustered on each corner, so that 3 rooms were together and their doors were almost touching each other and you could hear ... Read more

Stayed from August 5 â?? 8, 2016. Traveling with me was my wife and 9-year old daughter. This is a very nice hotel with recent renovations. The check-in staff wasnâ??t the friendliest, but bellhop, valet, housekeeping, were very welcoming and made up for it. Overnight valet parking at $45/night is a bit expensive, but I guess if youâ??re paying for peace of mind and security for your vehicle, perhaps itâ??s a wash. Blends modern design and the unique character of New Orleans. Loved the art in our room just wished there was more closet/drawer space for us. Parade passes right in front of hotel. If coming for Mardis Gras, make sure you call ahead or know your wait in the city to the hotel because all streets in the downtown core are closed. Very expensive valet parking in Mardis Gras (same as everywhere else) so we were advised to park in the casino nearby (walking distance). Great parking deal considering... Read more

Very nice hotel. Lobby, restaurant and location were all the positives. Room (superior, high level floor) was the downside. The interior was alright...bathroom a bit small. Major downside -- we were on the 18th floor and it was still incredibly loud through the window. Major train noise (whistling/honking) at all hours of the night and you can hear every ambulance/police car in the city. Kind of surprising for being so high up. I stayed at Le Meridien for 5 nights late August the personnel at this hotel is wonderful specially Kevin who was wonderful from the minute we arrived. The room we got was in an angle and the entrance was a bit awkward and it felt a bit on the small size for 2 people. It's a beautiful hotel with a lovely lobby & restaurant. The hotel staff were terrific & keen to help. Room was clean & comfy, the shampoos & shower gels top notch. Breakfast was one of the best I had in New Orleans. It's close to the French Quarter too. My only criticism is the closure of the restaurant on weeknights - we had to have room service once, but it was fantastic food brought up with a table etc in a timely manner. Recommend ++++

Great location centrally located in the heart of New Orleans. Roughly 5 blocks from the super dome, cafe du monte, Jackson square and bourbon street. The beautiful hotel was recently renovated, rooms were spacious with all the amenities one might need. The staff was unbelievable in giving us an experience that would make anyone want to return. They went out of their way to ensure we got to see everything in New Orleans we could. We will be back soon.

Across from gambling, the French Quarter, the edge of downtown, this hotel lets you be convenient to most of NOLA. The pace varies from lively to frenetic - this is not a quiet get away hotel, but this is not a quiet get away city. The room we had was comfortable, especially the mattress.
