This was a fantastic hotel that actually felt like a resort. It is close to Frenchmen street with out being too close to Bourbon Street. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Great staff, wonderful room, perfect location. we'll be back!! Comfortable bed and very quiet location. Frenchman street only around the corner. We left luggage for a few hours when we checked out. the only thing that would make it better is if reception and left luggage was on the first floor. They did have people to help carry it though.

Awesome location, with lots of character and charm. Very helpful staff. The property is strategically located close to Bourbon Street and Frenchman street, yet it is away from the chaos of the tourist areas. It was a very easy location to use Uber or Lyft with ple104 nty of space to pull up to the front of the building. The pool area and courtyard really added to the charm and provided a great refuge to drink coffee in the morning. The sound of the fountain in the courtyard added to the relaxa... Read more

As for room by the pool- 113-many have no windows - this room does and you feel like your room is in a private courtyard in that it is the only ground floor room on the pool. Which was one of this hotels nicest features. Room was clean and well appointed. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We had to wait for a pickup past the checkout time and they let us hang by the pool.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite overlooking the pool for 3 nights. The property and landscaping is gorgeous. They have definitely up kept the old time appeal. The room is massive however the bathroom is tiny. The room sleeps 8 and has 1 tiny bathroom. We had no problems with the room itself it was lovely however here are the quirks: -ceiling in the living space has a leak that has not been repaired. Ceiling of suites living room also has cracking. Appears like potential foundation trouble... Read more

Adequate location with private parking, pool, and hot tub. Located in a great neighborhood that was very conducive for romantic walks. Lodging is locate near lots of restaurants and bars that were active but not as energy consuming as ones on Bourbon street.

We had a charming room across from the main house. It was clean and cozy and quiet. One turn to the left and we were on Frenchmen Street where the music filled the streets. Alex, at the front desk recommended fabulous restaurants, some off the beaten track. She sent us to a wonderful, small museum called The Backstreet House...GO THERE! The stay was wonderful, especially thanks to Alex and her suggestions!

We have spent time in nearly every kind of room this place has to offer. We have enjoyed them all.Prices are fair and always a good night's sleep. All of the staff are always friendly. They just really need to make sure the air conditioning filters are cleaned.

Our family of four enjoyed the space that the carriage house room 215 had to offer. My husband and I had a king bed while my kids (ages 14 & 9) each had their own queen bed. It was the big reason I chose the carriage house in the first place. The room was clean and decent with modern furniture and bedding. The floors, windows, and doors are obviously original in keeping with the charm of the hotel. The bathroom is updated with newer fixtures and finishings. Towels and linens were replaced ... Read more

Loved this hotel. Great location, beautiful old building with comfortable rooms, and the staff were excellent. Everyone was so ready to assist us in making our stay a great time. Made my niece's 21st birthday trip a memory that will last forever. Thank you.

We stayed in the Grand Suite and it was just that! The architecture and d├ęcor were stunning! The room was enormous and had everything we needed. The gardens were gorgeous complete with a beautiful fountain and outdoor pool. We were within walking distance of anything you wanted to see in the French Quarter. My daughter felt like a princess in a castle! Can't wait to go back!

The Hotel is lovely. A little tired on the outside, but the rooms are great, large comfy beds, large screen TV's, clean and a location that is close to everything, but quiet. The pool is just big enough to accommodate guests on a hot summer day.

The hotel smelled great. It was clean and everything such as lamps, iron, etc. worked properly. The staff was courteous and gave us a map for directions for parking. It was a quiet stay very close to the French Quarter.

If you're looking for a hotel that's close but not too close to the French Quarter, this is it. It's a short walk to Frenchman Street, the French Market and Jackson Square. Parking was secure, well lit and very reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous with original hardwood floors, transom windows, high ceilings and an incredibly comfortable bed. If you're driving in, ask for a room in the 400s since its directly next to the parking lot and I hear those rooms are more spacious than the ma... Read more

Stopped by New Orleans and I normally stay at some of the big Hotels in the city. But wanted a get away with the Girl Friend and the Lamothe House looked nice and in a great location. I was not wrong, room was very nice, and the AC actually could be controlled unlike some window units in the Big hotels. People were friendly and nice to be able to walk through the french quarter and not have to catch taxi's everywhere.

This was a great place to stay. Close to everything! The staff was helpful and friendly. The room we had was a bit small, but it worked out fine, as we weren't in the room that much. The pool was a great feature during the hot weather.

Very nice, very old. Beautiful furnishings! Loved he pool and the courtyard. The room #117 was as large as an apartment! Everything you need! Was a bit intimidated when we first pulled up. Wasn't used to being in that end of Bourbon, but it was just fine. We didn't mind the walking everywhere. The parking was right across the street and was secured!

We stayed in the Grand Antique Suite (room 101) for three nights and loved it. The room was huge. Extremely comfortable beds. Free wifi. Close to the French Market, literally seconds away from Frenchmen Street, and walking distance to anywhere else you want to go in the French Quarter. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations (try Port Of Call. It was fantastic). Would definitely stay here again. Only downside was my 16-year old was disappointed he didn't see any ghosts after r... Read more

We loved the look and feel of this beautiful historical home. We were not given a room in the main house, but across the street. It worked out because we were right next to the parking area. We would however have to cross the street to get our ice. Not real convenient in the middle of the night on a weekend. There might be a Jabberwocky out there in the night. The main house is filled with original or authentic furniture and architectual designs in wood work and colors. We were sad we weren't... Read more

What a beautiful, charming, NOLA hotel! The location was absolutely perfect being steps away from Frenchman Street. We stayed in room 210 which was a decent size. Very comfortable bed, fabulous linens, and extremely clean. I am a light sleeper, but the room was so well insulated I didn't once reach for the ear plugs. The courtyard with pool is stunning and a great place to end an afternoon or late evening (listening to the local music). Walking distance to the French Quarter and lots of nightlif... Read more

The guest house is located in the heart of the French Quarter. Minutes from Frenchmen Street. Perfect for a walking vacation. We walked from3-5 miles a day. Great fun! The guest rooms were old fashioned beautiful. Lush greenery surrounded a salt water pool and hot tub. Everything was very clean and well kept. Fruit was always available in the lobby. Whi... I bought a voucher for the French Quarter Houses over a year ago and was unable to use it. They honored the amount that I paid for it and used that credit towards a room. I called with a days notice and they had no problems helping me. Michah (I am not sure if I spelled her name her name correctly) was very friendly and helpful. She is definitely an asset to your business. She was helpful both over the phone and in person at check in. We really enjoyed our stay. It was quaint, cute and very cle... Read more

We stayed here after a friend recommended it and how could you say no to the mid week special of a third night for free. The room was small but well appointed and the fittings were modern. The air conditioning was spot on given it was sweltering outside. A cute little pool in the courtyard and a great period feel made this place perfect for a short stay. Conveniently located at the end of Bourbon street so a short stroll to all teh french quarter has to offer. A hidden gem!

After doing research for hotels in the French Quarters area, we decided to choose Lamothe House. The property and description of the House is exactly on how this can be described. The hotel is beautiful and has been beautifully converted. We stayed in one of the houses in the back in room 117. It was very spacious, had a separate little room with a sofa bed and a TV that would be great for kids. Our room was right at the back gate just across the street from the parking lot. It does get a little noisy but it didn't prevent us from sleeping and ear plugs are provided.
