We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! They went above and beyond to make us feel very special for our anniversary. We had wine, fruit and a chocolate covered Oreo waiting for us. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. The staff was very helpful, accommodating and nice, it's in a great location and clean. Very impressed! We look forward to staying here again in the future!

This hotel is perfectly located just outside the Quarter. Walking distance also to the WW II museum. Very good mattress in a very comfortable room. 75 cent oysters during happy hour from 3-6. Only thing missing was free breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

We booked this hotel from Hotwire, so it was a surprise for us. It was a very pleasant surprise. This hotel was first class all the way. Very helpful staff, from the time you get out of your car till you leave. Don't get anything from the fridge. Look closely at the prices.

Erik Fabacher, the Front Office Manager greeted us and welcomed me by name and thanked me for being a loyal IHG member. We had one free night (thanks to the IHG Mastercard) and I paid for the 2nd night. The hotel was running a promotion and I received an additional 600 points for my stay. Yippee! After about 5 minutes being in the room, the Executive House Keeping Manager stopped by to make sure the everything was perfect. We were given a spacious room with a balcony in the back of the hotel... Read more

Very well appointed hotel. Valet takes a while to retrieve the car since the garage apparently isn't close so call 10-15 minutes ahead. Streetcar stop is close by and it's an easy walk to Canal and Bourbon St. Concierge was so very friendly and helpful.

Mr. Romano and his staff do an excellent job taking care of their guests. The hotel is very clean and well-appointed. Taxis are plentiful out front, and the streetcar also stops near the entrance. Our room was very quiet the first night of our stay, but the next two nights, during the weekend, there was more street and hallway noise. Having turndown service was a nice touch. We met with the concierge to book tours and he provided a map, marked with useful landmarks for the places we wanted go to... Read more

Pretty loyal to the Intercontinental brand but had never stayed at the location in New Orleans until now. Set a few blocks off Canal Street it was quieter than the convention hotels I was always compelled to stay at on other business trips. Like a lot of Intercontinental properties, it looked like they converted an existing hotel. Lobby and bar were nice although the car entrance off the street was a little awkward given the traffic pattern but not a big deal. Usual amenities and the rooms w... Read more

We met up for a family function and the staff I encounter was very helpful and nice. They gave suggestions on where to go and even printed out directions when needed. Very nice bar/ restaurant area. I didn't eat here but we all drunk a whole lot. It was very nice. Only down thing was house keeping didn't clean my room one day and the room I had door didn't slam close like it was supposed to, so my room door was left open one day. Thankfully nothing happened.

George was the concierge when we stayed here. He was so helpful with dinner reservations, but the best thing ever was the day we were flying out. We asked about the possibility of weighing our bags (since I tend to pack on the heavy side) and he had the greatest gadget for weighing them in advance so you can avoid the embarrassing opening and switching things around at the airport!! Thanks for all your help George!!

The location is close to the tram line and central city. It is within walking distance to the paddle wheeler as well. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. It was quiet and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful especially when we had airline bag problems. The food is excellent at the restaurant. Unfortunately our experience was spoilt by a group with very drunk shrieking women. It was also freezing cold in the restaurant. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

This was my first stay at InterContinental and I will be definitely returning. The room was clean and well kept. My wife and I enjoyed the premium toiletries that they carry. Check in was perfect and all the staff were friendly and courteous. The location was great. It is a short walk to the French Quarter but far enough away that it's quiet. The taxi stand was always full. We also found a great cafe about 100 yards away, Daisy Dukes Cafe. The breakfast was phenomenal.

Great hotel, clean and well kept rooms/corridors. Only downside was the noise levels at times. You can hear people talking in the hallways/babies crying if your room is next door to new parents/kids. I didn't mind it too much as we were mostly out enjoying the city. The wifi speeds are decent, walking distance from the French Quarter. Good restaurants nearby, the hotel's own restaurant Trennasse is amazing as well!

Now I'm ready to go walking and check out the sights!! I love it here, do I have to leave???

We celebrated our 15th anniversary in New Orleans and got a great deal on Groupon for this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and the service was great. Our room was very nice with all the amenities you can think of in a nice hotel. The only thing that wasn't perfect was our mini refrigerator wasn't working. The bed was very comfortable! I personally didn't like the pillows but my husband really liked them. It is about two blocks to the French Quarter and is across the street from one of the street c... Read more

This hotel always exceeds our expectations. The room was great and felt luxurious. The shower was large and fantastic, despite a slight rotten smell coming from the drain at times. The restaurant in the hotel offered $.75 fantastic oysters that we took advantage of every night. The pool on the 15th floor is about typical in size for New Orleans properties, but was refreshing during the hot weather. The hotel is in the Central Business District, so you are about a 20-30 minute walk to the mid... Read more

The staff was amazing, pleasant to be around and had great knowledge of the area. I went to new orleans with my 2 teenage daughters, i wanted them to see what beautiful architecture and culture and of course the food New Orleans had to offer....staying the intercontinental was remarkable, they treated us like queens, always waiting on us hand and foot, we have already recommended this hotel to numerous friends!

I am getting married here in January, and just stayed for the first Time with some friends for Red Dress Run. I absolutely can't wait to Come back! Salman Chaudry and Dawn Pembo took great care of Me even before arrival, and their special touches made my stay more perfect than I could have imagined! I stayed in a parlor suite with a balcony, perfect for all of my friends to enjoy. Check-in was smooth, and early! The furnishings of the room are simply luxurious. I visited New Orleans in 2015 and stayed at the Intercontinental on St. Charles. I returned a year later for a family wedding. I was delighted to be greeted the second time by the manager, Salman Chaudhry, who remembered me and personally checked me in. I am loyal to Intercontinental hotels because of their high level of personal service and recognition of regular customers. Mr. Chaudhry did everything possible to ensure that our visit was wonderful. He is a true professional and makes you ... Read more

Finished off my family vacation in New Orleans and so glad I chose the Intercontinental. The staff was amazing! We were greeted at the front desk by Ashley--who was so helpful. She got my rather large group squared away in record time and even recommended a great place for breakfast! Will definitely stay again.

Like other InterContientinentals, the beds are large and comfortable, rooms big and hair products are great. The concierge was great, his helpfulness improved my day. The view from the balcony wasn't great - just other buildings.

Having stayed previously at this property, I am familiar with the friendly staff, the beautifully appointed rooms, the incredible culinary offerings and the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel throughout. With each visit, I am more impressed with the staff's efforts to provide outstanding service and take care of every detail. During this trip, I had some challenges with a rental car, and the front desk and concierge were most helpful in assisting with resolving the car issue and extending my st... Read more

Well let's get the negatives out of the way first because they started at the front desk where we were treated with indifference really. Then our visit to the Concierge was no better. A subsequent visit to the Concierge (different chap that time) proved no more pleasant. The quilt cover on the bed was badly torn. The corridor hasn't been vacuumed in three days and is littered with threads and little bits of paper, not to mention a nasty spill that needs shampooing. The glass outside Room 845 sa... Read more

Let me start off by disclosing that I'm an IHG Platinum Ambassador member. I was curious what benefits would be bestowed upon me! We arrived fairly early on the Friday of Labor Day weekend (right around 10am). We were checked in by someone at the IHG preferred guest desk. One of my gfs is an IHG Platinum member and we were both hoping for some good upgrades. We were able to get "upgraded" to the 14th Floor but that was it. I asked about free breakfast for my friend's room too and the lady said... Read more

We had a one night stay. We got to the hotel late because we attended a wedding earlier. The staff was very professional and hospitable. The rooms were very clean and had a great view Downtown!! It is a close walk to the French Quarter and a short walk to the River Walk. We can not thank John Romano enough for such a memorable time. He runs a first class operation and his staff is the friendliest and are always smiling. We had a great time and will be back for many years "Anniversaries" to come.... Read more

Very nice stay at the hotel, we arrived in late since our flight was delayed and got checked in right away. The room was fine and just what we needed, very comfortable. Its a great location on St Charles Ave and on the street car line also just blocks away from Bourbon St. Good place to rest your head after a long night of fun.

I liked this location--walking distance to Canal and the Quarter. The hotel staff is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The rainfall shower was nice, but I did wish we had a tub. Nice toiletries, though I mostly used my own, but they were a good backup. There was a nice-size safe in the closet. The curtains blocked out ALL light; I have never slept so late in a hotel room! The workout room is really nice, though I'm ashamed to admit I didn't use it (but we did walk a lot). The roof... Read more

My wife booked this hotel thru a "mystery Groupon" and it worked out nicely. 5 blocks from Bourbon St so far enough way from the noise and smell but close enough to walk. Very nice room with a balcony. No fridge for personal use, the mini fridge is filled with sundries. Valet is ridiculously expensive at $42 a night!!

We found this hotel to be perfect for a couple of days in New Orleans. The location is convenient to most attractions. It is beautifully decorated, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was wonderfully friendly - especially the porters and the employees working the valet. The hotel seemed busy yet was quiet. The only disappointment was erroneous charges for bottled water from our room. It took over a week to be reimbursed, and the tax was never refunded. Other than that, we were pleased... Read more

Great hotel!! It's clean and gorgeous and a perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of bourbon street and canal street. This is the second time I've stayed and will definitely be back. The only thing I don't care for is that the hotel buffet breakfast is $25/person, it definitely is not worth that. I'd say $15 would be much more accurate. The room service pizzas on the other hand are just wonderful!!

Its best feature is the location, which is great to explore NOLA, especially the french quartier: far enough to be quiet, but near enough for walking to bars, restaurants, theatres and most of attractions. Charming old streetcars, good to go around and know the city, stop by just across the street. No breakfast included. Nice room with coffee maker; staff ok, not outstanding. The hotel is good, but a little overpriced for what it offers.

A friend and I stayed here for a few days on vacation. We were able to check-in early and we got an upgraded balcony room. My debit card was charged $50 for "in case of damage fees" and was told that after check out the money would be refunded to my card in 7-10 days. That's a bit ridiculous considering that we did not touch the $7.00 Evian waters or the $10 nips in the mini fridge. Picked this hotel as InterContinental rewards members, service never disappoints. Valet and Check-in reception were very pleasant. Rooms were a comfortable size, shower and bathroom facilities were decent, just nothing over the top or "wow" hence the 4 star rating. Location was great for us as we were not so close to the Bourbon street activities, but close enough to walk to that area, and other attractions like the WWII museum.
