My husband and I stayed one night at Hotel Indigo after returning from a paddle wheel boat cruise. They let us check into our room early and everyone was super nice! We have stayed at many hotels in large cities and this was definitely the best price and value for your money. Our room was spacious and my husband loved the "living room" area with large screen TV. King size bed was so comfortable and bathroom amazing. We would stay here again in a heartbeat because it's everything you could w... Read more

I stayed three nights with my son, who was visiting Tulane University. Hotel Indigo was a great choice for us. The location was central and convenient - right on the trolley line; halfway between campus and the French Quarter. The room was spacious, clean and stylish, as all Hotel Indigos are. The bed linens were luxuriously cushy and soft. The hotel provides high quality bath products. The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves a great breakfast. I especially enjoyed the ... Read more

I had a group in this hotel this past week. Hotel is located on the St. Charles street car line which connects with all the other lines and makes it convenient to go all over the city. The hotel is great for groups and is also pet friendly. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are huge.

Was extremely pleased with Hotel Indigo on my recent visit. Location is great - there's a streetcar stop right in front of it, and is within easy walking distance of the Garden District. The room and bathroom were large and very comfortable, beautifully furnished/decorated, and impeccably clean. The patio terrace that overlooks St Charles at the front of the building is a great place to eat breakfast or read a book and watch the world go by; the staff was uniformly friendly and knowledgeable. When you arrives the first impression in not good: The elevator was dirty and de corridors carpet looks worn out and don't smell good. All looks little bit worn out. But when you open the room door, the surprise arrives: the rooms are perfect, large, clean,.... The team is very polite and useful. In the area you can eat very well and this residential quartier is full of interesting houses. My advice is to avoid staying in the French Quartier area and chosing this hotel. The taxi cost 12$. 9 pm Saturday night - I booked a last-minute room for a possible emergency trip the next day. I ultimately cancelled the reservation Saturday morning. 11:00 am the following day - they let me know that my reservation was cancelled, but I would still be charged the full price of the room. They wanted me to allow them to cancel the reservation, and then double-collect by having other paying customers book the room. I made them reopen the reservation. If I had to pay the full amount, then I ... Read more

This hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. In a great location in a beautiful part of New Orleans that is just outside of the French quarter. The FQ is an excellent place to visit, but this location offers so much more to NOLA, with the street car running right outside and showing some beautiful parts of the city. Take the time to stay here a night or two and experience more to NOLA than the typical French Quarter scene.

right on St. Charles so you can take the streetcar where ever you need to go. Lots of restaurants close by, with in walking distance although they do nice meals in a comfortable atmosphere. Nice bar, great staff. Have utilized the valet and have also parked around the neighborhood without too much trouble

Its been awhile since my last review, a year actually since we visited in June of 2015. Family is longtime IHG members but had never stayed in New Orleans or Indigo property. Loved the style of this modern hotel. PERFECT LOCATION for a family visit to this amazing city. Garden District is old antebellum, trolley literally at front door, best food places all within 10 minute walk. Can't say enough about the staff, top notch for advice or help. Location amazing. Hotel decor is awesome. Onl... Read more

This property is very chic and modern. Right in the Garden District which is not as busy as the rest of New Orleans. Trolley stop right in front of hotel makes for easy access to all attractions. Staff was so nice and helpful. I will stay here again.

The king suite was so nice. No complaints or issues with the room. Housekeeping did a great job and the staff was very friendly. There was not much of a view but we didn't have any noise issues like we might have had staying in the French Quarter. Parking is expensive but we were always able to find an open spot on the street.

The hotel is quite new, so everything looks nice and works, and the rooms are roomy and well equipped. The staff is helpful and friendly. Welcoming you with a smile and always gives you helpful tips. The location is slightly out of the way, but the St. Charles streetcar will take you downtown easily and often, and Magazine street with all kinds of restaurants and shops is five blocks away. We found the location away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter ideal, and all the Garden ... Read more

For this trip to New Orleans, we wanted to do a lot of strolling and looking at Garden District homes. This was the perfect location and hotel to do this. The Convention and Visitors Bureau office is in walking distance, so that is an excellent start to get extra information before you officially start your trip/vacation. The streetcar runs on St Charles right in front of the hotel, so if you want to go downtown/to the French Quarter you can. Just be aware that during busier hours the stre... Read more

I chose Hotel Indigo New Orleans based on the reviews of others- friendly staff, beautiful building, and convenience in New Orleans. My mother experienced disrespect from Pete, the valet. She didn't have the valet ticket (I did and was not with her) and as she's never used a valet service before, was confused as to how to retrieve her car. She understood that Pete couldn't hand over the keys due to safety and protocol, but he told her "I guess you don't have a car here" when the appropriate resp... Read more

This is a lovely hotel in a very nice area. The rooms are very large and well appointed- service is good and the reception staff are very helpful for any information. There is a fitness center open 24 hours. The Street cars pass by frequently and cabs are easily available. It was very easy to move around to Canal Street or the French Quarter and Magazine Street is walking distance if one wants to visit shops or restaurants. A very nice hotel.

Stayed five days at Hotel Indigo and loved it. The hotel is not a big chain so there not many folks staying at the hotel. Very quiet. The hotel was on the streetcar line and had a stop in front of the hotel. Staff was great. Will stay here my next visit.

The front desk and valet were great! Above and beyond type of service. I really appreciated it. The rooms weren't the most comfortable but they were clean and modern. The lobby could use a deep cleaning. Traveling with children we wanted to be away from the crowds so it was a good location. The streetcar stops directly in front so we hopped on to get to Canal. We could also walk just a few blocks away to Magazine street for meals.

Rooms are beautiful and clean and comfortable. A total oasis. The lobby bar is great after a long day of work, albeit very expensive. Room service was ok but only recommend if there's a good reason (heavy rain, in my case) not to venture out to all the awesome restaurant nearby. Perfect location. Love running down St. Charles.

This was our first trip to NOLA. Ages ranging 13-50. Found this on Orbitz for a good price and booked it. Boy were we lucky. Great room, the bathroom was amazing! We had a trolley stop directly in front of the building, which took us every where we had planned to visit-buy the $3 24hr pass and hop trolleys across NO. The only draw back was the parking, as there was not any street parking, so have to pay $25 a day to stay in fenced parking. Want to give a shout out to the valet that took u... Read more

While we have stayed here before we were disappointed at the rude welcome we received when we arrived at the Hotel around 11 on the day of our arrival. The front desk person just told us to go away and come back after 3 (check-in time). Usually you check in when you get to a hotel and pick up your key when the room is ready so this struck us as odd. I am a spire member (75 nights in the chain in a year or so) that made the rude greeting all the worse. When we came back later to check-in a differ... Read more

This hotel is nicely maintained and stylish. Rooms are good size, beds are comfy. No tubs, only large showers in most rooms. Valet parking is convenient but an extra $23 a day plus tips expected each time they fetch your car. I wish they would include parking in the overall room price. In my opinion this hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful Garden District. Here you are able to walk to local eateries in a nicer, quieter area of NOLA (lively nightlife still but not as packed as French Qu... Read more

The Hotel is in the beautiful garden district and the St Charles Avenue street car line is right outside the front door. Rooms were comfortable and bathrooms were large with a big shower. There is no bathtub, microwave or mini refrigerator. There is on the street parking if you can find it otherwise there is gated valet parking in the back of the hotel. We utilized the valet and it was $24/day.

My wife and I were excited to return to this property due to how much we enjoyed our first visit a couple years ago. The style and ambiance was still there but the substance and service were a little off. We found the front desk person we met to be efficient but not particularly friendly. On subsequent days, the New Orleans hospitality we had become accustomed to improved. Famished after a long drive, we decided to order room service from the in-house restaurant Babin??s. I didn't know what to expect of the Hotel Indigo - it used to be a Ramada Inn a while back but I like what they've done with the place. Located on St. Charles in the Garden District about two miles from the French Quarter, the hotel is convenient for tourists while just being enough out of the way to avoid crowds. Friendly and helpful staff, clean spacious rooms (and bathrooms) and easy access to the St.Charles streetcar are pluses. The hotel itself has a small restaurant but there are plenty of... Read more

Hotel Indigo is a nice hotel in a nice location. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. The only criticism I would give is the hallway carpeting...yuk. Stained and dirty looking. The hallway also had a burning electrical smell the whole 10 days we were there. The room have wood flooring which is much nicer than carpeting. It felt much cleaner. I would stay again.
