Staff is exceptionally interested in making guests happy. Common areas are nicely updated and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Breakfasts are varied each day with several hot items, so visitors who stay more than a day or two will be pleased to have variety. The evening receptions are a stand-out; on Mondays-Thursdays from 5-7 pm, this hotel offers free wine, beer, salad, soup and a couple of other items at no charge to guests. Remarkable value!

We chose to stay here instead of the French Quarter and so glad that we did. The staff was fabulous and we were within walking distance to everything and if we were not then we were close to the trolley. We visited the French Quarter and it is a very stinky place. I still love it and it's great to visit but I would not want to wake up to that smell every morning.

Great hotel, great location. Lots of restaurants near by. Walking distance to Superdome. Valet parking was very convenient. Rooms were huge. The morning breakfast was more than enough to clear up a few of the cobwebs hanging around. The only negative we had was forgetting our toothpaste and the hotel makes you purchase from the hotel store.

Fabulous Hotel, we had a 2 bedroom suite, loads of room for everyone, 2 ensuite bathrooms, made life a lot easier, the breakfast was good, but it could get really busy and there was not a lot of seating if hotel was busy. The Mon - Thur Beer and Wine and food was appreciated, enjoyed the social aspect of this, met some really interesting people staying at the hotel. Overall, I found the Homewood suites very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the exception of one front desk agent. I asked her to make a note on my account about the AC, because I was going to call HHonors when I returned home and make a complaint. Unfortunately, I could never get a wifi connection in my room, and the AC was extremely loud. Because of the loud AC unit, I never got a good night's rest.

Had a comfortable, large room on the 12th floor. After seeing some other reviews and talking with a colleague who had a room across the hall, I think I was fortunate to have a room with the AC unit in the living room -- no noise problems for me. Complimentary breakfast was fine and not crowded when I went each day. Only went to 1 dinner reception which was okay, but there are much better places to eat in New Orleans. Staff were fine, not overly friendly, but got the job done.

we had a bedroom suite and much to our disappointment the a/c was broken and they had no other units available. they brought a huge portable a/c unit that was in the living room but that didn't cool the bedrooms which had separate doors. they did not even offer to give us a discount. this unit became disconnected from the window twice and caused our room to be extremely hot (and the machine was very hot which seemed like a fire hazard to me). the front desk staff was friendly, the place seeme... This hotel is located just close enough to the French Quarter to walk, but far enough away in the very modern business district. The valet staff was exceptional, although the price was a bit high. The facilities were clean and modern, although the beds were too firm for my taste. The beds could be a deal breaker for any future visits, but other than that, this hotel is quite nice!

This hotel is located in a great area, near major attractions, easy access to transportation, and many food options. This was my first visit and I was expecting Hilton-quality goods and services. I was disappointed. The first room I was assigned was a sweltering 80 degrees. We took our family to New Orleans to celebrate our son's 13th birthday so he could experience live jazz and the culture that the city offers. The location was within walking distance of everything and has an outstanding staff. They also offer great services - like the complimentary breakfast - that allow families to relax and enjoy their vacation.

Our room exceeded our expectations - we had a full size fridge and 2 bedrooms with king beds. The mattress was more comfortable than what I have at home. We loved the hotel, but felt that the common areas were a bit too small for the number of guests that were staying. Breakfasts were crowded and some food items were depleted half way through the meal.

The room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly. The location to the French Quarter was great, close enough to walk there but far enough out of the Quarter to feel out of the "chaos" that can be the Quarter! Only complaint would be the food, the breakfast, eggs and potatoes were bland. The nightly offerings, one night salad and pho and the other night chicken sliders, none were not very appetizing. Would definitely recommend the hotel for everything except the food.

The room would've been tolerable if not for the moldy smell. Called down to the front desk to report the foul odor in the room and their solution was to have the maid turn the air conditioner down to 60Ā° and then when that failed to send the maintenance man up with a bottle of cleaning chemicals to spray on the carpet. I'm very upset with Homewood Suites for their halfhearted attempts to correct my concerns with the hotel.

The rooms in this hotel are decent for a city hotel. Walking distance to French Quarter and Canal St. Streetcar access close by for 2 streets. Decent breakfast each day and food in evening too! Nice pool - indoor. AC didnt quite keep up with cooling needs. That is challenging here! Parking is valet only -$39 a day extra! Had text for the car - great set up and speedy! New Orleans has lots of sirens - all day and all night, fyi....be prepared.

After an eight hour train journey wanted to dump my stuff and get out and about. Was very disappointed that there was no in room safe. I hate having to carry my passport and other valuables with me. I arrived late due to my flight being delayed; the guest services attendant did not greet us nor did she seem excited to be at work. She did not appear to be professional, her hair was pinned like she was ready for bed. The entryway of the hotel smelled like mildew or old food and the appearance of nasty nats were flying around. I truly thought the worst was yet to come, just from my initial walk through the front of the hotel that my hotel room was going to be dirty or full of issues. My ro... Read more

This hotel has potential to be an extremely nice place. But......from the moment we got to our room it was dirty. We NEVER had enough towels. When we called the front desk they either didn't answer or we had to call 3 or 4 times to get them to bring us or items that we shouldn't have had to call for in the first place. Such as toilette paper and enough towels. The bathroom floor was gross. The water didn't get cold. I know that sounds odd that the water didn't get cold but it didn't. H... Read more

This was a very busy weekend and the staff was excellent with providing quality service. The free hot breakfast was great. Disappointed because the complimentary evening social was not offered on Thanksgiving evening. The sofa was very uncomfortable.

We've stayed here twice, and would do so again, because of the excellent location--on Poydras, a few blocks from the French Quarter-- and the free amenities: a pool and hot tub, free breakfast, a keg on tap in the afternoon, and a fitness center. Plus they have two-bedroom suites with a living room and kitchenette that are the perfect setup for two couples traveling together.

The joint is a dump that placed a fraudulent charge on my credit card, using a number that was never provided to them. All for a stay that we needed to cancel on account of my father suffered complications from his stage 3 lung cancer. Interestingly enough, it was a charge that my bank investigated and later returned. You can visit the Louisiana bayou without staying in a glorified swamp with pillowcases, as is the Homewood Suites on Poydras. Avoid at all costs. Thanks!
