We stayed in room 1214 (facing the pool) for a weekend getaway arriving Friday and leaving Monday. The cab fare was $36 flat from the airport, and you cannot use Uber or Lyft yet, but it's coming. The shuttle is just as much PER person, so if you have more than 1 person, take the cab. The hotel met our essential needs, The few problems we experienced: the balcony door was sealed by a block so we had to call maintenance (Mike) to remove it, and he handled everything wonderfully; there was no ho... Spent 3 days there this weekend with my fiancé and our 3 kids. We absolutely loved it. Staff was amazing. Very helpful. Very polite. I've never had better service. Called down a few times for things and service was very prompt. Room service was prompt as well. Loved the breakfast we ordered. Dinner not so much. Other than that we will definitely be here again on out next trip to New Orleans. Next time we will try to squeeze in time to go to the restaurant there.

This hotel is close enough to walk back and forth to Bourbon Street and to the Superdome . We got a room that opened to the roof patio which was great and would have been even better of the weather cooperated a bit more . It is also close to the Ruby Slipper - my new favorite breakfast must have !

I was very nervous about our first visit here due to really not knowing the area, but it was a great stay. Very clean and within walking distance to everything. The only problem we had was they charged my credit card twice and the guy at the front was not very sympathetic. The restaurant was great. We ate breakfast there. Taxi always in front also trolley was close if u want to take that. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

I am HIGHLY disappointed in my recent stay at that Holiday Inn superdome. The tub in my room had a bubble like swelling in the middle of it and the room carpet was damped. The parking was $30 a NIGHT and my card for the parking deck barely worked. The stay had the potential to be very nice, but due to miscommunication between the front desk and the housekeeping my guest and I was Forced to wait 2 hours on towels. The Holiday Inn was very accommodating to our students and our needs as a large group. They were so kind! Working with Amber (coordinated our reservation) was easy and she really worked with us to get the best rates. Even though there was confusion, the hotel remained calm and super polite. I would recommend staying at this hotel even if you are on a short visit, but knowing there is a place that will house 50 students is very beneficial. We will definitely be back next year!

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, so we were satisfied with the location. The room was a good size. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of room. It is a Holiday Inn and is old, so don't expect luxury, but I think they have upgraded nicely. We had a small balcony with a great view of the park. Parking was easy and, although costly, it is in a garage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered breakfast delivered one morning... Read more

The location of the hotel, the hospitality, the service, the rooms, everything was great about this place. But the beds were horrible. They were very hard that I had trouble sleeping at night. I took a trip to Walgreens to get sleep aids and it helped a bit, but I was glad to be checking out. Otherwise, this is a nice place to stay. The restaurant inside the hotel was fantastic. Our room was on the 12th floor. There was plenty of free garage parking. Everyone was friendly, the hotel was clean, and didn't smell of "New Orleans"! The room was nice, the beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was good, maybe a bit pricey, but too pricey. The room was quiet for the most part, except for a couple who started fighting in the hallway.

I checked in to a property that I have stayed at on previous occasions. But as I entered the hotel, I recognized an immediate improvement in the appearance of it. The front desk check went good. Because I'm a frequent traveler with IHG, they had upgraded me to the top floor where one can see the area known as the French Quarter. The sleep room was fitted with all new interiors. We stayed on the 9th floor and it was so quiet. The rooms were surprisingly large and the view over the city was great because we were high enough up to see the sun rise over the city. There is a parking deck built into the hotel where you can pay to park a car, but there's really no need to drive when so many restaurants and businesses are within walking distance of the hotel.

This location was close to my office, but that is about it. There was a long wait for check-in and there was only 2 people in front of me. When I got off on my floor there were loud blowers and buckets in the hallway, presumalby from a water leak. The bed was lumpy and the A/C blows right on the bed. We stayed here the night before our cruise. The hotel was wonderful. The room was great. Included was a seven day covered parking during our cruise. The taxi to the port was $8 per person which was a 3 minuets drive.

Beautiful hotel. Get a good feeling entering the lobby. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A bit of a drive from the airport, but has a standard rate of $36. Close to the cruise terminal - about 7 min drive (standard rate of $7). Right next to the Superdome. Hallways are pretty, and feels like a higher end hotel. Rooms spacious and equipped with all standard items. Has a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Bed was great and pillows even more so. Wifi is very fast. My room had a small b... Read more

stayed here recently for a Saints game. picked this hotel because it was a short walk to superdome. we arrived at 1:30 pm and were told room was not ready but we were allowed to go ahead and park and walk to a nearby lounge for a drink. 40 minutes later the hotel called and said room was ready. room was clean and comfortable and we slept well that night. the following night was not quite as nice as we could smell cigarette smoke from the balcony next to ours. people were smoking and talking loud... MOST of the time, when I stay at a hotel, it's because I've gone out of my way to read reviews and check prices. It's easy to be happy with a hotel when you go to all that trouble, but this was a situation where the hotel was chosen for me as part of a conference. I think it's even better when I can be SUPER happy with a hotel that I didn't painstakingly research beforehand. Right off the bat, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the friendliness of the staff. There was a def... Read more

The Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome was within walking distance of the Superdome. The entire staff were on top of their game & were very nice! The rooms were very neat & clean. The executive king suite had a wonderful view of downtown from the balcony. Thank you all for making our stay such a delight!

Reasonably priced and located in the midst of downtown New Orleans. Close to the French Quarter(Only 2 blocks), the Central Business District..etc. The restaurant is great. The bartenders at the hotel bar are expert mixologists and informative. The concierges and staff really try to meet all of you needs. It's great for families, business or any other event.

We stayed here over Voodoofest weekend. I found the hotel to be adequate but nothing special. Our room was large and acceptably clean. I did feel that the decor was oddly cold. Some contemporary looks sleek, this just looks boring. We had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The staff was very nice and helpful. We could only get a reservation for one night and they worked with us to extend. The location is not ideal. It is too far to walk to the Quarter or any of the tourist dest... Read more

OK my true and only complaint about this Hotel was the Elevators. At night you have to use your Room key to access your floor. The issue is i did as instructed and the damn thing would not take me to my floor. My friends were on the 18th Floor and trying to visit them was a problem. My saving grace would be if there was a hotel worker going up to another floor and they would swipe there card after seeing my card would not work. Now the Hotel is clean and the Staff is Friendly, The room is Cl... Read more

Nice Service, Clean Hotel, Good amenities, & nice ambiance. Pretty close to everything. Contemporary style with a touch of history sprinkled throughout. Pricing was better than most, at the time I reserved. I enjoyed the poolside view from the room and I was also lucky enough to get a king size suite. The room was clean, good size and quiet. The bathroom was a little small. They offered buffet style breakfast and had nice bar in the hotel. All in all, I would enjoying staying here again

BF and i stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. Price was definitely competitive with area hotels, we even got an upgrade to a larger room so that was great and unexpected! Location was awesome for what we needed, also many things within walking distance or able to be accessed by trolley...staff was very attentive and polite. Room was an issue. Bed linen and towels all were stained, even after asking for replacements, (which were brought to the room super quickly) those were kinda gross too. Cabl... Read more

We stayed here for a long weekend. The walk to the superdome is short and easy. At night the walk from downtown is a bit sketchy, so ride the trolley. The hotel was clean & it looked like our room was recently updated. Checking in the staff was rude but the staff during the rest of our stay was great. We especially enjoyed talking to the night desk people. Our room had a balcony that overlooked a park.

Halloween was a blast! Stayed for 3 days and would return again. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made me feel very welcome as a solo traveler. They were knowledgeable on the city and where to eat and what to see. The hotel is a 6 min walk to the Superdome and 8 min walk to the French Quarter or you can take one of many streetcars to your destination. Very inviting hotel, clean and attractive and apparently in a historic area of town known for birthplace of jazz. The view from t... Read more

This hotel really surprised me, nice and clean, very helpful staff and all around good experience. Our room was a walk out to the pool, awesome they also have a mini gym with towel service. The restaurant in the hotel have an amazing breakfast and lunch with awesome drinks as well. If you are going to a game at the superdome, this hotel is walking distance to the dome and the night life.

This hotel is in a great location! It is only about a 15 minute walk to the french quarter/other tourist attractions. There is covered parking but they will charge for it. The lobby is really sleek/modern and the rooms have definitely been updated! The bathrooms were fine however there was a vent in the bathroom that looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Other than that the room was very nice and clean! Check in & out was a breeze too.

This hotel was a good basic hotel. The rooms were well presented and felt modern, the restaurant was reasonable and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. It has a nice rooftop pool which we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy even though it was November. Our room had a microwave and fridge which was perfect for us as we were travelling with children. The only very minor downside was the location. Some of the other big hotels were closer to the busier parts of New Orleans (i.e. th... Read more

This hotel is located downtown, and although it is a downtown location you really don't get that downtown feel. The hotel is very guest friendly, you pull in, check in, and parking is easy, and reasonable. The rooms are all upgraded, they're comfortable, clean, roomy. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs off the lobby, great food, and the breakfast buffet is very delicious. I try to stay at this hotel whenever I am in town.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown while on business. I was there for the Microsoft Envision conference so I luckily got to take advantage of the free shuttle during the day which is good because this hotel is in a sketchy area. A few nights I went out with friends and we had to walk back from Bourbon Street which was...unnerving. One evening I did not want to go out for dinner so I ordered room service. A diet coke, chicken caesar salad was $25. The glass for the coke had someone else's li... Read more

Stayed in this hotel while in New Orleans for a quick get away and while scouting out places for our wedding next year. From the moment we checked in we felt very welcomed!! The staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, my IHG status was recognized and we choose the option of the drink tickets as our welcome amenity. We had a king room on the 18th floor overlooking the pool. The room was great, we especially enjoyed having 2 sinks, made it very easy to get ready while the other w... Read more
