First the good....excellent location, Concierges Alan and Darren were great helps, all the front desk staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean but I had a cell phone charger stolen from my room and there was no one in there exempt me and a housekeeper!!! I locked my "valuables" in the safe but never thought it would be necessary to lock up my charger!!!! I reported it when it happened but the issue was unresolved. The nice woman (sorry the name escapes me) at the front desk... Read more

The only downside was the carpets in the hallways is very worn. Everything else about this place from the rooms to the staff to the location was fantastic. This was not our first visit, nor will it be the last. We like the location just a block off Bourbon (which makes it convenient, but keeps the noise down). The room was spacious. Our travel agent arranged for us to get a King Room With Balcony. We got a large corner room with three windows and TWO balconies. It was a great place for people ... Read more

My first impression when I walked in the room was that this is an old, worn out dump. The first thing I saw was the black paint peeling off the furniture exposing the bare wood and the broken outlet plate laying on the floor. Then later I thought I heard that this whole place was remodeled about a year ago. We later discovered that the bathroom exhaust was either not running or very undersized. I put a piece of toilet paper on the grille and not even enough suction to hold it there. So when you ... Read more

I've been staying at the Lemoyne for years, this was my first stay since its remodel. The hotel is newly remodeled bringing it up to date with some basic modern amenities. Having 4 USB ports for modern electronics is really a nice thing. The updated rooms are nice giving you that small modern boutique hotel feel. Think dark wood and slate grey color scheme. The hotel has a nice courtyard with a small pool which is a great place to relax or do some light work. I have always had nice service from ... Read more

We stayed for almost a week in mid to late May. A very pleasant woman checked us in. Recognized me as an IHG Platinum member. We were upgraded from the standard room to a Creole Suite King. Room 207. The concierge seems to also be in charge of stored bags. Room wasn't yet ready as it was 11:30am. So we went exploring. Got a text about an hour later that the room was ready. The lobby is pretty small. There is an RF'S restaurant around the backside of the 2 elevators. Breakfast is served as... Read more

Obviously recently renovated, this hotel is in prime condition with everything sparkling. The location of the hotel is excellent and everything in the French Quarter and surrounds is within easy walking distance. The staff were engaging, friendly and most helpful. There is a courtyard pool, a fitness room and attached to the restaurant is a bar that provides live music every evening. Our room was large and also newly decorated, well lit, had a comfortable bed, very well lit en-suite, the shower ... Read more

We had a less than avg. experience on Bourbon st (see prior review on 4pts.sheraton) so we moved to this place . Wow what a difference bright and clean. Met at the curb by smiling helpful staff. Bellman was great (Allan) after he brought the luggage up he asked what our plans were. The wife told him she wanted to do the air boat tours and some restaurants we were looking to try. Allan set us up with reservations and the ride out to the air boats. Told me about some great restaurants. All of the ... Read more

Our first time to New Orleans was made even better because of the staff and service at Holiday Inn. In particular, Darren and Alan, who gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, and other options of things to do within this great place! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting here!

We stayed here last year and had a nice time. We stayed this year and was not impressed at all. They ask if we were staying for a special reason and my husband said it was our anniversary. We went to check in and we did not get a room with a balcony, they never mentioned our anniversary, and they were not very polite. We then ask later if we could check out late and they told us no because it was a Friday and they didn't do late check outs. Friday we watched 5 people check out late in the aftern... Read more

I will stay here every time I come back! This hotel was in the perfect spot, right off of the main commotion but still within close walking distance of everything. The hotel staff was wonderful, the two main concierges- Ryan and Darren especially, were amazing! So very attentive. They went out of their way for us to help with whatever we needed! The hotel was very clean, recently remodeled, and had a great pool and patio area. Price was very reasonable considering it was June and we were i... Read more

Perfect location, one block from Bourbon but none of the noise or craziness carries. Constant police presence at the door puts one at ease. Very polite and accommodating staff. I stayed here years ago prior to the renovation and it's much more modern and well-appointed now, definite improvement. If you can spring for the extra $$ I would recommend getting a balcony room. Reservation for balcony room was made 4 mo before our stay, 'confirmed' via email directly from on site manager. Then, although we were unaware of any special going on in town during our stay, since it had been so long since I booked, I called the hotel about 3 weeks prior to our stay to "confirm" that our reservation was for a balcony room, and was told it was all squared away. Upon arrival at 7;30 Friday evening we learned that the balcony on our confirmation was in their system as "if availab... Read more

Was a little wary when booking, as the rate offered was so much lower than any other FQ hotels, but I needn't have worried. From the minute we arrived, service was fantastic. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable, and despite facing the street (and only 1 block over from Bourbon) there was absolutely no noise during the night. The onsite bar was fabulous, with great (and cheap) cocktails during happy hour, along with live music. Sadly, we didn't have time to try out the pool, but it looked... Read more

Very nice hotel. We stayed in rooms with balconies and enjoyed our stay. Pros: Nice pool. Bar with a good happy hour. Walking distance to the French Quarter. Clean rooms. Pretty good water pressure. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Cons: Balconies did not have a great view but were nice regardless. Balconies were connected not only to both our rooms but another room as well, so we had to keep our door locked. Breakfast is expensive. No self parking available.

The staff were very friendly on check in and throughout our stay. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. It is in a very good location and within walking distance of Bourbon Street without the noise. The only downside would be the cost of the parking ($36.95 plus tax a day) but understandably there is not a lot of choice. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the action of the French quarter. The room was a decent size but it was impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom floor. We requested extra towels and they asked us to come down and get them. The restaurant attached is good for a simple meal with great service. It was a busy weekend for the hotel and there were lots of groups there clearly to party so probably wouldn't recommend for couples.
