Absolutely Terrific. Great staff and the wonderful overall experience. Location was within walking distance of the French Quarter and Harrahs Casino. The food was exceptionally good in all the places we dined in. Overall great experience!!!

From cleanliness to location, to service and value, this hotel is A+. The attitude of every employee I encountered was positive and made me feel as though they were really glad I was there. I will return.

I was in New Orleans for work, had a confirmation number, got to the hotel and the girl told me my confirmation number was from a third party site, I told her it was from Hilton.com where I book all my stays and she said they didn't have it and they were sold out. I had already paid $75 for parking across the street and she said they had no rooms left. I assured her there were rooms set aside for something like this and she rolled her eyes and said no. I have been a loyal Hilton stayer for years... Read more

There are a lot of large hotels across downtown New Orleans and small boutique ones that are fine for work and vacation. The Hilton St Charles is probably the best of both. The hotel is located on St Charles, easy walking to the Quarter or around the business district. It is a former bank/business building and that architecture is a reflection of the older New Orleans era. The rooms have high ceilings. The lobby is very friendly and valet parking is easy to use. The restaurant, Luke, is very... Read more

Amazing experience!!! From the time I walked through the front doors until I had to leave for home I felt like a member of the family. Thanks for the extraordinary care and service that you provided. I truly appreciated getting the "gold" standard of treatment.

Just walk away from the french quarter on 333 St.Charles Ave is the Hilton which was one of NOLA's first sky scrapers and was once known as the "Mason's"The Old Grand Building. Even today when staying in the restored historical Hilton I could see the original architecture. The entrance of the hotel and the eleventh floor chapel(which Joe the hotel engineer 32nd mason, gave me a tour and some historical facts) are just some examples. The lobby has an elegant hip decor with helpful and friendly re... The hotel is nice with a great location, but when I went to shower this morning, there was no hot water. I called the front desk, and they were aware of the problem because apparently it happens quite often. The explanation given was that it's an old building and that the boilers can't handle the demand. So I had to go to an unoccupied room and shower there. But the water in that room was lukewarm at best. You'd think they could fix this issue.

Great location. DO NOT get a room on a lower floor above the trolley line. Runs all night, loud and shakes the building. I was moved higher up and the other side and it was fine. Eat at Luke's attached to the hotel. Excellent food by John Besh.

Great location. EVERYTHING in walking distance, or taxi, or pedi cab. The staff at the Hilton St Charles is attentive and amazing. We have received great service. The Executive Club was relaxing and comfortable.

The location for this hotel is perfect - on the streetcar line (before it gets filled up), very walkable to the French Quarter, WW2 Museum, etc. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but could use a little more "charm". What really makes this hotel a 5-star was the staff. We travel a lot, but it is (sadly) rare where the staff takes as personable touch as they did at this property. When I left the club lounge and got on the elevator, the attendant, Sharon, was also getting on said hello, intr... Read more
