Of the hundreds of trips to New Orleans in my life I have never stayed anywhere other than The Monteleone. I was very happy with the service and staff. It was so much quieter than being in the quarter. Architecturally the lobby was beautiful with floor to ceiling marble and the John Besh restaurant and bar were excellent!

The rooms are musty smelling; My room view was a brick building. The pool has broken ladder; the shower gives scalding hot to cold water for no reason; the TV sound on some stations does not work. Promised room on same floor for all and that did not happen. The executive room dark.

The rooms are beautiful and the location is close enough to Bourbon street that the walk was not outrageous. The negatives are that the water in the shower would change temp drastically, back and forth, while taking a shower. Also no one at the desk seemed to know how to stop the call waiting from flashing without having to come to the room. Went to desk several times to talk to people about the situation with the water but the desk was always busy, not their fault as we were there during Ja... Read more

From the initial welcome in the gorgeous lobby by the super friendly front desk supervisor, to the amazing room, and the delicious oysters and French 75's in the hotel restaurant, Luke, this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. Will definitely stay at this hotel again if back in NOLA - awesome location too, easy access to both the Garden District and the French Quarter.

The hotel was fine but the hostess that checked me in was rude and impressionable. The hotel is in a great location. I have stayed in New Orleans over 50 times and this location was one of the best if you don't like staying on Canel Street. The bell hops at the door were polite and extremely helpful.

We stayed at this facility twice. Once in July 2015 and then again in April 2016. Overall our stay has been nice but there is definitely room for some major improvements. This review will mainly be about our most recent stay. When we got to the hotel, we were told that our room will be ready within minutes. So we waited and waited as minutes changed in to hours. Finally our room was ready! The next day in the morning we requested our room to be cleaned as we were going out for the day. On ou... Read more

Everyone working the front desk looked unhappy and miserable. When we got to our room the mini fridge was leaking the carpet was soaking wet and it smelled horrible. While this is only our second night, I feel compelled to sing the praises of the staff of this nicely located hotel. We checked in digitally to the 19th floor only to find that this building, which apparently was a Masonic Temple at one time, has teen weeny windows on this floor! We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the executive lounge. The food selection was decent and we loved the fancy coffee machine. The loc... Read more

Best all-around Hilton in New Orleans business district with easy access to the French Quarter. Service has always been top notch, rooms are well-appointed, and you absolutely must have an authentic NOLA seafood meal and drink at Luke which is adjacent to the hotel lobby.

The location for this hotel is perfect, as it was close to the French Quarter, on the street car line, within walking distance of other fabulous restaurants and activities to do. The staff was fabulous, offering pleasant hellos and restaurant recommendations when we asked. Our rooms were compact but clean and comfortable.

I have stayed at several different Hiltons and experienced nothing but the best service. This stay was quite different, and by different I mean ROACH INFESTED. There were roaches on the mini fride, in the corners of the beds, and they got in my husbands clothes. Once we discovered there were roaches in the room we called down to the front desk, and they sent up Shannon Martin. Shannon has the WORST customer service skills I've EVER seen. He had an arrogant/I cant be bothered with this ty... Read more

My experience at this Hilton was top notch. Every single person I encountered was friendly and gave the utmost value of service. It has a gorgeous lounge, a nice gym, and of course the yummy Luke restaurant. It's two blocks away from Canal st/start of french quarter, so it's perfect walking distance but far enough away from the chaos. It's also only a block from the St.Charles stop on the street car (you need exact change btw - just do the $3.00 for the 24 hour pass. My only negative would be t... Read more

My honey & I wanted to get away for the weekend. This was a nice clean Hilton. There's parking across the street, which is less expensive than valet. The room was perfect for 2. Gorgeous view! No Loud noises, plenty of hot water. Fresh clean towels & wash rags. Mini Refrig. I wouldn't upgrade to executive really. The area was ok with a pool table & munchies, but New Orleans has so much to do this wasn't a draw for us. The ladies working morning & evening were all super Friendly. For sure w... Read more

Impressed with the decor and cleanliness of lobby and overall hotel. Location is great- close to canal street so jumping on a street car was a breeze. It was also easy to get to and from hotel/ airport. Room was clean and pillows and linens were soft and comfortable. Also the air conditioning worked GREAT we were never hot despite the heat and humidity outside. Only minute complaints was the the bathroom was really dark even with all the lights turned on so it was hard as a girl to do proper hai... Read more

Very disappointing. I had picked this hotel, despite its distance from the quarter, because it is a full-service Hilton. As a diamond member for many years, and gold this year , I know why I cut back on Hilton stays: inconsistent quality between properties. I'm really surprised this property has a Hilton flag. The staff is incredibly friendly and very accommodating. But that's was a pleasure ends . The room itself is claustrophobic small , musty smelling , and just not up to the quality one expe... Thought the room was great! Nice and big with plenty of space. Parking is a little rough. We did valet or you can pay to park across the street in a public lot. Executive breakfast was just OK. Location was great! Walking distance to the French Quarter as well as the Superdome. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Was here for a business meeting. We arrived early and checked in, knowing our rooms wouldn't be ready. We walked around the city and had lunch expecting that the rooms would be ready later. After waiting past 3pm (check-in time) ... the rooms were still not ready. The staff really didn't seem to care that about 20 people were in the lobby waiting for a room. There was very little urgency. A few of our guests arrived very late and there were no rooms available (had been booked for months). During... Read more

Things started out a bit shaky for our Hilton New Orleans stay. First off, as we pulled up to the front, the bell guys were talking and just stood there. We had to exit the car and walk up to them to engage. Next off, our room was not ready, granted it was 1:30 and check-in was at three. Next, we were not greeted or thanked for being diamond members, something that always happens. Reception gave us executive lounge key and we waited and waited and waited. Finally around 3:30, we went back ... Read more

Never in my life have I received such terrible service after spending nearly $300 a night to stay in a hotel. If you do stay there, I am warning you... do not go in the hot tub. The water in the hot tub completely ruined all our swimsuits (some brand new ones that we bought for the trip). The hotel said they use salt water in the hot tub (I found this out after the damage was done), which explains how our suits all became discolored. After calling numerous times and leaving messages to inform th... Read more

Not up to par for a Hilton property. The only saving grace was the front desk staff and location. Rooms were old an outdated. Needed some major renovation. Would not recommend this hotel unless you aren't too concerned about the rooms. No ice machines on every floor, the floors that did have them were dispensing crushed ice if you could fine one that works.

Ice is only on even # floors, 18, 16 and 14 did not have working machines, 12 did. No furniture with drawers. On checkout it was suddenly their policy to help with luggage. Bunked here last minute for a friend's Bachelor Party. Others in our crew stayed at Windsor Court. We end up here. Totally passable. Room was clean and we got a solid deal. Club level not quite the same quality as what Hyatt offers in my opinion in terms of snacks, drinks, etc., but the space itself was nice. If you need a place to crash in NOLA that's guaranteed to be clean and comfortable, this is a good option. Great little sandwich place across the street as well. Walkable to French Quarter.

We stayed because our meetings were booked here. The convenience to street cars and walking distance to so much made it a good choice. The Executive Lounge breakfast was a good feature. Parking is expensive and the airport hotel shuttle made a car unnecessary.
