The hotel room rate for one night king bed room was excessive - $249.99. I usually get the this hotel and room type at a rate between $89 - $139.00. Very taken aback by the hotel room rate. I also don't like the company policy of charging monies to my credit card and holding monies for 3 days even when no room charges are made.

Based on a recommendation of a friend, I looked at and ultimately booked a stay at the Hampton Inn (French Quarter), I am glad I did, It was much cheaper than the other hotels I had been looking at and was only a few walking blocks from the French Quarter. The hotel staff were friendly and the free breakfasts were appreciated especially the grab n go bags when I didn't have time for a sit down breakfast.

We stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly, from the front door to the front desk to the maid staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was small compared to the bedroom, but it was just big enough and had everything you needed. You have to pay for the internet, but it's not too expensive and works very well. As far as location, you can't get much better, especially for the price. Besides Bourbon Street being just a few blocks away, ther... Read more

As Hilton Honours member usually choose for the chain and this time the Hampton Inn downtown. Normally you know exact what to expect with a Hampton Inn but this location is pleasant exception. Rooms are very large with high ceilings and provides a good desk for working. Shower is not in a tub - which i like very much; Free wifi available and of good speed. Breakfast in included. The use of paper plates and cups is something i still do not like. If they used normal plates and cups it would entitl... Read more

This hotel is in a perfect location. Off Canal street, a main road. Step out the front, cross Canal street and it becomes Bourbon street. Unlike Bourbon street the hotel being a three minute walk is in an area that is quiet, good for sleeping. Perfect location to do your own thing or find tours. The hotel has everything except a laundry. Breakfast is good. You can print your boarding passes.

We travelled as a family of 5, we stayed in the suite with two double beds and sofa bed. and the 5 of us still found that this place was big enough. Upon arrival we left our car in the front and the staff took our keys, helped unload the luggage and took care of finding parking- which after 9 hrs drive and the traffic in New Orleans was very appreciated- While checking in, there were free and WARM cookies in the front which was enjoyed by the kids and grown ups alike. This hotel is in a great spot. It is close enough to the French Quarter, but far enough away to get some peace and quiet when you want it. We checked in early and our first room looked right out into a brick wall of the building next to us. At the time we checked in, that was all that was available. But we asked to switch rooms and the staff at the front desk were very accommodating and pleasant. They gave us a room with a much nicer view. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the ... I recently spent 5 nights while at a conference. The front desk staff were very helpful, especially Latunda (sorry if I spelt your name wrong) however this did not make up for the poor housekeeping. This hotel provides the best of both worlds...close proximity to the French Quarter and other attractions but quiet at night if you're not in NOLA to party. The building is historic but well-maintained and the rooms are spacious and well-furnished. I've traveled quite a bit and this was one of my favorite hotels. I was in NOLA on business but would easily stay here again with my family.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our 3 grandchildren, aged 7 - 15. The room was great, the staff friendly, the breakfast was good and different each day. This is a great location for walking to the French Quarter. We also took taxis a couple of times (to and from the Amtrak station) and from the WWII museum. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel for a family visit. It is close to things, but quiet.

Did not matter what time of day or how busy things were, they had time to pay attention and smile at me. Liz in the breakfast room was an absolute dear. The girls at the front desk and the guys out front at the street were just as awesome. Cannot say enough good things about the staff. Accommodations were the usual good quality Hampton. Room: Our rooms were on the 10th floor. They are HUGE rooms, you can easily fit a rollaway bed (or two). The room was very clean and it was nicely appointed. It definitely was an older hotel and it seems the elevators need updating as well. Our rooms had two queen beds and there were plenty of pillows. The comforter was very warm and cozy. Service: We were warmly greeted at the front door and felt welcomed. At the front desk, since we had pre checked in, our remaining business was dealt ... Read more

The Hampton Inn & Suites in New Orleans (French Quarter) is a hotel within a five minute walk from Bourbon Street. I paid a little over $310 a night and stayed three nights in room 509, a large room with separate living area, kitchen with fridge and microwave. No view, but I didn't come to New Orleans to stare out a hotel window. Bedroom and bathroom (walk in shower) were large and kept very clean. Fast Wi-Fi was complementary. The service is excellent. Friendly staff at reception, at the concie... Read more

Justin was awesome at the front desk from the moment we got there until we checked out 3 days later. He gave us many suggestion of places to eat and also showed us on a map how to get there. Great location from The French Quarter. Great valet staff, porter staff. I thought it was a little pricey for parking. Breakfast each morning were very good with a good variety. Bathrooms are a bit small. Overall this Hampton was a very nice place to stay.

Booked a Junior Suite which was huge! Large work desk and small kitchen area. The Hotel was clean and comfortable and very quiet. A key card was required to use the elevator which is a nice security touch. The breakfast was plentiful and had a decent variety of bacon, sausage, eggs, and pastry etc. It is walking distance to Jackson Square for most, and a short distance to Bourbon street. The Trolley stop is on the next block and is a great way to get an overall tour. There is a mini mall attach... Read more

Don't be afraid of losing the Nola experience by staying in this Hampton. I don't know the history but it appeared to be a renovated old bank building which was super cool! We had a double but was in a huge corner room unexpectedly! The location was perfect for walking to multiple areas and around lots of great restaurants. Didn't need services during our stay...Breakfast was a superb spread - very large and varied! Will be back!

The customer service was outstanding! You really could feel every employee enjoys and respects their jobs. On top of that our room was very nice making it hard for us to check out on our last day. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel!

We stayed here last night. Not only was the experience a good one, there were several employees that I wanted to compliment. Paige at the front desk was exceptional. She had all of the right answers, helped suggest things to do with two to young children. Our room wasn't quite ready upon arrival so we were upgraded to a suite. She made our arrival easy. Breakfast the next day was better than normal for our frequent Hampton Inn visits. More than the normal choices and a very friendly staff... Read more

We are a family of four, two adults and two teenagers. We stayed here for two nights before our cruise aboard the Norwegian Dawn in November 2016. It was our first time to stay here and we would stay again if we return. The room was huge! Tall ceilings and plenty of room to walk around. There were two beds on one side of the room and a sleeper sofa and the other side of the room. There was a safe in the room, a microwave, mini fridge and wet bar. The complimentary breakfast was very good.... Read more

Great location, just minutes from Bourbon St. Loved the room and super comfy beds & pillows. The large bathroom was really nice. Breakfast was okay, the typical free breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite. It was incredible. Other couples with us were in regular rooms. Those rooms were nice too. This is just another quality product in the Hilton line of products. Whether in New Orleans for business or fun you will be good with this hotel.

With all of the normal Hampton appointments this hotel gives you French Quarter and Bourdon Street access without the noise and being right on top of all the party goers. Rooms were recently upgraded and breakfast is decent. This is my go to choice for business trips in New Orleans. Quick walk to the action. Uber ride from MSY was $33.

The rooms were very large and comfortable. The hotel is clean and modern. There is an ice machine and a good breakfast hall which is large and has no queues. The hot oats (porridge) are great, you must try them. This was right on the edge of the French quarter without actually being in it, so the location was convenient. There is a great burrito joint literally right downstairs.

This hotel was located close to everything a person would want to see and do. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The room was a little small but perfect since you don't spend much time in the room with all there is to do and see. There is a daily parking fee that I was unaware of before arriving at the hotel but it was reasonable (and preferrable to the alternative public parking) and we did have access to the car anytime we wanted.

Good home base for visits to the Quarter. Just a block and a half to Canal street, then you're in the Quarter. Room was fine, no issues. Breakfast is better than your usual cheapo free breakfast. Still had the kind of fake-ish eggs, but had nice selection of other stuff, including grits (nice addition), oatmeal, fruit, cereal, waffle-maker, real butter, etc. Coffee pot on all day. Nice little gym. No pool. Minimal lobby area.

Excellent location. You do not need a car if you are a healthy individual. You can walk to everything. We walked to French market, river walk, super dome, WW2 museum and bourbon street. Plenty of eating establishments and jaz bars within walking distance!

We stayed for 2 days after returning from a cruise. We arrived at 9:30am expecting to have to leave our bags and go to the Saints football game. But the receptionist was able to get us in a room even that early! It was great. The room was spacious and clean. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to Bourbon Street and other sites within the French Quarter

I truly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the time allowed of 4 hours which gave me the flexibility of when i wanted to rise before the cafeteria closed. Also the fitness room. I was also granted an early checkin and checkout without hesitation.

This hotel is withing easy walking distance of Bourbon st , the trolley runs in front of the hotel but still far enough away that one can sleep without the 24/7 party noise on the street. Breakfast is typical Hampton but the breakfast area seating is large. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and well maintained. I do recommend this hotel and location. Its a great jumping off point for visiting all aspects of the city.
