Girls Trip! 8 of us stayed here the night before we hopped aboard the Triumph Carnival Cruise! It's a perfect place to stay! It's walking distance to Boubourn St! Rooms were spotless and beds were so comfortable!! The only disappoint was there was not a hot tub:( Also trying to get into the hotel was kind of difficult but the valets were awesome!! Oh and it is attached to a mall! Will definitely stay here again on our next cruise!

My wife and I had a short but very pleasant stay. The hotel was a good value. The room rate included free parking and continental breakfast. The room was nice and the shower had been recently remodeled. I nice upgrade over showering in a bathtub. The location was just on the fringe of the garden district (5 blocks from numerous shops and restaurants on Magazine street). The streetcar stop was less than a block away. My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to book this hotel only a week in advance of the last weekend of 2016 NOLA Jazz Fest. The combination of free parking, convenient St Charles location, reasonable price and our being Hilton Honors members locked in Hampton Inn as the place for us to stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the warm atmosphere of the staff and the feel of the place. Breakfast was included and we ate with other hotel guests downstairs in the lobby area and poolside. Pros: Location Service Cleanliness Cons: Cumbersome parking arrangement I had a brief stay here for business in April, 2016. Everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. The manager's reception was appreciated. My room had a great view of St. Charles Avenue and the street car. The room was spotless, the linens were clean, and the air conditioning blew cold. The parking lot is tight and tough to navigate, but that's to be expected in New Orleans. I wouldn't think twice about staying... Read more

I have wanted to stay at this hotel for years. The Garden District is beautiful. This is probably one of the nicest Hampton Inns. It is quaint and seems to have regular visitors. It is centrally located on St. Charles Avenue where there is much to do. Our room is small, but not uncomfortable. Keep I mind that when you stay in New Orleans, most places are small because the city is old and rich with history. This hotel is not a party hotel by any means. I think almost everyone who writes a review of this hotel will agree that it's location is wonderful. St. Charles Ave. is a tree lined street in the Garden District, which I think is the prettiest part of the city. The hotel is next to a Best Western Plus hotel and within walking distance of a couple of retaurants including the Superior Grill which is privately owned and next to the Best Western. Great hotel for us - as tourists new to the city. Stayed here for 4 nights. Good bits: parking at the rear of the hotel in a secure carpark. perfect location with a tram stop right outside that took us straight into city centre. modern decor (recent revamp) . Fridge, microwave, wifi, very comfy beds. Spotlessly clean. Walked in the neighbourhood at night and felt safe. Less good: Walls between the rooms quite thin. Process to get into the carpark means you have to go to reception first and che... Read more

Free on site parking, good breakfast, clean and quite. My only issue was that some of the carpet tiles were not glued down properly. This is a new hotel so I told management about it. The St. Charles Inn is next door with Superior Grill restaurant, but you are also close to restaurants on Magazine and of course the street car is out front. Having free on site parking is great.

It's not always easy to find a place to park in this area, however the hotel parking was no problem and very easy. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I would stay here again should the need arise.

Very convenient location, a quick 20 to 30 min uber ride from the airport (cost around $33), the trolley stop is right out front of hotel. Lots of good restaurants & Magazine St within walking distance. Staff is friendly & helpful. Very clean rooms but no in room safe (safes at the front desk). Complimentary breakfast was very good from eggs to pasteries.

This was my first visit to NOLA and I am so glad I picked the Hampton Inn Garden District. After researching on TA I decided that the Garden District was a better fit for us. The secured parking was free and we did not want to deal with all the traffic in the French Quarter. Our room was great we even had a pretty spectacular view of downtown from our room. As always with Hampton's the room & facility is very clean and has cool boutique vibe. It was so easy to get on the Trolley too, just walk... Read more

Here for three nights and loved it. Everything easy--check in, parking etc., trolly access. Our room was clean, quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. Planned a fun weekend with my sister in a city neither of us had visited yet. So after researching all hotels and seeing how expensive it was, we settled on a 2 star hotel, only to find it was really a 5 STAR! What a gem. Beautiful hotel, staff was kind, helpful and truly wonderful. Our room was gorgeous and we had a view of the downtown. AC was cold, bed was comphy, room clean and all new; sheets were hi quality. Lovely, lovely place. We were able to catch the Trolly right out front and ... Read more

Everything about this hotel was outstanding. The rooms were immaculate. The bedding was excellent. The staff was very attentive. The location was great. We loved walking around the Garden District area and looking at all the beautiful homes. Just a few blocks walk, was an excellent restaurant, Superior Seafood. We ate there three times in two days. It was great to hop on the trolly and head to Canal street. Super easy. Great place to stay in New Orleans. I would stay there again, for ... Read more

Great location, near good restaurants and bars. Trolly car stop right across the street, and with Uber, we didn't need a car at all. Hotel rooms were clean, having complimentary breakfast is definitely a perk! Instead of eating, we just grabbed a couple of pieces of fruit for later.

We stay here almost every time we are in New Orleans...the location and overall quality can't be beat if you have no reason to stay in the French Quarter or CBD. Some of the lower floor rooms have obstructed views, but the upper ones on the Foucher St side are awesome! Superior Seafood restaurant 6 blocks away is wonderful and there are a couple of other nice places nearby. The walk to Audubon Park is also a nice hike through history.

My wife and I were in town and stayed at the Hampton they are a good chain and I an honors member. The hotel was nice the staff friendly the bed comfortable. The room had a lose square on the floor and I almost tripped on it before my wife noticed it and warned me. The bathroom needs a lot of work. The exhaust fan is basically for noise it does not work at all When I got out of the shower it took 20 minutes for the mirror to defog, the wall had a massive mold looking stain. I entitled this... As an HH Honors member, I picked our room prior to arriving. Nice size, clean room. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean, updated, offers parking in the rear and the location was very convenient. The trolley is directly in front of the hotel - which was great! For $3 you can ride it all day. We took it to the French Quarters, we took it to Mr. John's for a great steak dinner. There is also places to see, restaurants within walking distance. The surrounding area is beautiful with th... Two blocks off Canal, this hotel provides the security and quiet you'll need after a night on the town. Bourbon and Royal Streets are within walking distance. The hotel's street turns into Bourbon, so it's hard to get lost. The staff is knowledgable and courteous. The large, complimentary breakfast changes from day to day. This is the place to stay if you want to be close yet far enough away to escape the hubbub.
