We stayed in an interior room. I was a little afraid it would seem claustrophobic without a window, but it wasn't. The ceilings are appx 15 feet high and painted a light color, so all was well. Room was clean, staff was great. We could have parked our car across the street, but as we planned on staying in the French Quarter all the time and walking everywhere, we used the valet service ($40/night). It was well worth the price for the peace of mind of not having to drive! Room prices get pricey c... Read more

The hotel is everything you see in the pictures and more. Exposed brick, beautiful courtyard, comfy beds and insane water pressure!! The loss of one star comes from only minor things. No fridges, no microwaves which means no leftovers from all the great NOLA food and no breakfast of any sorts. Stayed in a king deluxe which had more character than most places I've stayed in. Room 200 which had windows facing the street and steamboat docks, gave us a nice view in the mornings. Great rates comparat... Read more

Hotel is in a great location. You can easily walk to anything in the French Quarter. Hotel staff was great at giving directions or recommending places to eat. Everyone at the desk/valet was so friendly and personable. The courtyard is adorable and very charming. I loved sitting outside at night to wind down after a long day. Small pool... Was nice to dip my sore feet in after walking around all day. We booked an interior room. Originally for 3 nights liked it so much we stayed for an extra nig... Read more

Loved it!! Can't wait to go back. It is a very beautiful and relaxing Hotel, despite being so close to Bourbon St. The location was great, short walk to many attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful especially Irvin.

Three of us celebrated in New Orleans and ecstatic that we found this hotel. Everything we wanted, beauty, charm, location and best of all wonderful people that helped us with every need we had. Already planning another visit to NOLA and hands down no question will be staying here again. I booked early and requested room with balcony(shared) and street view. They got me the most perfect room and neither the train nor the steamboat coming in and going out was a bother - and we got a calliope co... Read more

I really liked this hotel a lot for our stay from May 27th to May 31st. Stayed in Room 134 in a king size bed and brick wall. The location is excellent and is right around the corner from Johnny's and Napolean House two of my favorite places to go in the Quarter.

This was a last minute trip and I found a great room at a reasonable rate. The valet service for the car is expensive and slow, so unless you need your car to get here, I recommend not having one. parking is annoying. This inn is located near everything. Ask for a room with windows. The courtyard is pleasant and there is a small pool for wading, not necessarily laps.

A wonderful old world hotel in the heart of the French Quarter! Our balcony room looked right out into the Mississippi River. We were one block from the Jax Brewery shopping and Jackson Square; and two blocks from Café du Monde! Fabulous! (negative...having a two night minimum when I only needed one night!)

We stayed at the French Market Inn over the 2016 Memorial Day weekend. Couldn't have picked a better hotel! We arrived in NOLA at 9am. Although check-in isn't until mid-afternoon, the bellhop graciously stored our luggage in a safe room while we walked Decatur and grabbed breakfast. Around noon we received a call from the Front Desk, saying that we could check into our room at any time. Our room was street-side and had 2 queen beds. REALLY spacious! Good sized bathroom. HUGE shower. Comfortable... Read more

This hotel is ideally situated in the French Quarter ?? not so far in it's hard to access, but not so far away that you have to walk forever to get places. It's quite close to Jackson Square and Café du Monde. Although the rooms are kind of small, it's clean and comfortable ?? and really, how much time are you *really* going to stay in your hotel room anyway? The staff is friendly and helpful. You can hear noise from the street and other guests in the hall. The wi-fi is free and reliable.

My family and I were blown away at how beautiful and extremely clean the hotel was. The General Manager Tim rolled out the red carpet for us and it was much appreciated. The court yard with the pool was amazing. I highly recommend staying at this amazing hotel.

This is a nice, comfortable old hotel in a great location. The rooms and bathroom are large, the courtyard area is lovely, and staff were all friendly. We stayed 4 nights. I'm sad to say the cat, Patrick, no longer lives at the hotel. As a huge cat lover this was one of the main reasons I booked French Market Inn over other hotels, so I was very disappointed. Be aware that this area of the Quarter can still be a little sketchy even though it's not right on Bourbon st.

French Market Inn earned every one of its three stars, and every one of its excellent reviews! With the location, price, and cleanliness of the hotel, it's easily one of the best values I've found while traveling. When we choose three-star hotels, the two factors that define such hotels are the bathrooms and service. French Market Inn exceeded expectations on both fronts. We actually prefer smaller, cozy rooms for couples trips, but it can mean sacrificing a bit in the way of bathroom space, mo... Read more
