Take I-10 East to the I-10/610 split, pass the ``New Orleans Business District`` and merge right at the Slidell/1-10 split. Continue on I-10 to the ``Orleans Avenue/Vieux Carre`` exit (235-A). The ramp exit will merge with Orleans Avenue. Move into the far left lane and take the U-turn at the sign that reads ``N. Rampart via Toulouse``. Immediately merge into the far right lane which will lead you to the Toulouse entrance into the French Quarter. Go 3 blocks to Dauphine St. and take a right. We are two blocks up on the right hand side.

Directions from I-10 East/Slidell:

Exit at Orleans/Vieux Carre exit. At the end of the ramp, take a left at the light. Follow Orleans Avenue (which will go back under the Interstate) for 3 blocks until you reach the U-turn on Orleans at the sign that reads ``N. Rampart via Toulouse``. Immediately merge into the far right lane which will lead you to the Toulouse entrance into the French Quarter. Go three blocks to Dauphine and turn right. We are two blocks up on the right.

"Dauphine was a great hotel to stay at, We was there for the weekend of St. Patrick's Day. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was far enough from the blocks for noise purposes and close enough for the fun. The house keeping staff gave the hotel a very refreshing smell when you walked in the door and you would need it when you walked in off the streets. i enjoyed the drink from May Bailey's and the continetal breakfast was really great the best i've had at any hotel, and i travel quite a bit. The Valet parkers also did a great job and was very prompt. When we go back i will be staying at this hotel again."

"I had a wonderful stay at this small hotel. I enjoyed the free breakfast and it was a nice way to begin my days in the FQ. The parking is pricey, but it was nice to have parking on site and the shaded parking meant my car was not hot and steamy, when I picked up. The walls are thin, so you can hear any noisy neighbors. I had a problem with non drainng bathtub and they moved me the next day. I will definitely stay here again; its location was great for the places that I visit when I am in the FQ. I really enjoyed the fast service from the bellman/parking valets."

"I think the Dauphine is a lovely little places in the heart of the French District which enables you to really take in the vibe of the city and be within walking distance of most places. The place itself is a good value and the room was a nice size and had a comfortable bed. I wasn't paying for the Ritz so I didn't expect to get the Ritz. "New Orleans-Our favorite place the french quarter- and now our favorite hotel. The staff is so very helpful and friendly. The room was extremely clean and the beds the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Breaksfast was very good for continental. All the employees couldn't do enough for you. Free internet was an added bonus, and you also get 2 bottles of water in your room. If you want more just go to the desk and their very happy to give you additional ones at no charge. "The hotel is great, and literally a block away from Bourbon. I felt very safe staying here, and had no problems finding my way around. The only complaint I have is that the bar did not open until 1pm, for good reason I'm sure! My group asked the front desk to recommend a place with reasonably priced food and they gave us 10% off coupons to Oceania. It was nothing fancy, but the food was really good. If you want to be in the middle of it all this is the place to stay. The staff was excellent, and all our needs were accommodated. The hotel was extremely clean, and the beds were better than anything I've ever slept in before at a hotel."

"we loved the hotel!! where to start- 1. the location-couldn't be better. a block or so in from bourbon and royal and walking distance to jackson square. we changed hotels to stay in the garden district the last night and we were sorry we did so. if you want to go to the garden district you can hop on the st charles trolley at canals street(again just a couple blocks). 2. the staff-so friendly and accommodating. we bothered them alot for directions and suggestions. everyone is so nice! 3. immaculate-the hotel is very clean 4. rooms-updated, clean, tempurpedic mattresses, flat screens, wifi. though someone said not to get a room over parking garage-we ended up getting one and did not hear a peep. 5. hotel itself has a courtyard with a pool, very charming. 6. breakfast served daily in the coffee room which was great-make your own waffles, sausage, yogurt, danish, croissants, hard boiled eggs. Al in all was an awesome stay and sad to leave."

"Our stay at the Dauphine was great. The room was very clean and orderly when we arrived and remained that way duirng our week-long stay. The housekeeping staff was especially friendly and always made a point to say hello and have a good day. The location in the French Quarter worked out great because it is only one street away from Bourbon Street yet not loud all night long. We also had a ghostly experience there! The radio alarm clock would come on all by itself and search up and down for a radio station. It did it several times while we were there yet there was nothing wrong with it that we could find....Very cool!"

"Most comfortable hotel bed ever! Nice hotel. Very quaint. Friendly staff. NIce room with balcony. Loved the courtyard, pool and location. Small, old bathroom. Loved the free breakfast every morning. May Baily's was a lot of fun and relaxing. Great restaurant/bar - DejaVu across the street. Close to everything. One block from Bourbon. New Orleans is a weird place, but this was a nice hotel to call homebase. "
